ParticipantAbsolutely spot on about the Dogtra Pathfinder2! I’ve had it for my Border Collie, Daisy, for a couple of months now and it’s never let us down – whether we’re trekking in the mountains or strolling in the park. The size is perfect, not too bulky for her and the material seems really durable. Honestly, considering its fantastic tracking capabilities and long battery life, the price point is worth every penny! The way this device boosted our outdoor adventures is rather incredible. Anyone had luck with other Dogtra models or is the Pathfinder2 top-tier?

ParticipantDon’t get me wrong, the Link My Pet GPS Collar ain’t that bad. It’s just…well, my pocket ain’t very deep and the price point got me squinting. Also, it gave my Dalmatian, Spot, a kind of “tech overload” look that just isn’t his style. We went back to our trusty old leather collar and lest you think we’re lost in prehistoric times, paired it with a Tractive GPS Tracker. Real sleek, small and Spot barely notices it’s there. Maybe check it out if you haven’t already and have a pupper who preferes no fancy neck gear.
Anyone else tried Tractive or another compact solution?

ParticipantWhile I see the appeal of the Link My Pet GPS Collar, I can’t help but find it a tad bit bulky for smaller dog breeds. My Shih Tzu, Muffin, was visibly uncomfortable with the collar’s size and weight. Some other lighter options, like the Whistle GO Explore, might be worth considering. The price point is similar and it comes with health monitoring features too. But hey, if your pooch is on the larger side, Link My Pet could work beautifully – jsut be sure to try it out first!

ParticipantI like to take my golden retriever, Buster, camping and we often venture off the beaten trail. The Link My Pet GPS collar has been a game-changer for our adventures! The adjustable size fits him perfectly and the material is tough enough to survive his rough-and-tumble play. Plus, it’s pretty darn accurate. I’ve tested it a bunch of times – even in dense forest and it’s always spot on.
About the price, I won’t sugarcoat it – it’s on the pricey side. However, I view it as an investment in Buster’s safety which makes it worth every penny to me.
Quick tip for any new users: make sure you’re checking your app frequently during your first few outings with your pooch wearing the collar. It helps you understand how the signal works best depending on where you are and gives peace of mind too.
Has anyone out there found anything comparable that might be a little easier on the wallet? I’d love to explore different options.
08/27/2025 at 12:46 AM in reply to: Our Experience with Good ’n’ Fun Dog Treats: Honest Review #7259smartpetlover4263
ParticipantI’ve had a great experience with Good ‘n’ Fun dog treats as well. They’re just the right size for my Cocker Spaniel, Oliver, and seem to be quite durable compared to others we’ve tried in the past. Oliver is known to rip through treats very quickly, but these lasted long enough for him to have some serious fun! Plus, they’re not overly pricey which is great for our budget.
Bought them initially to work on his search and retrieve skills, and they have been a game-changer. A word of advice? Use these treats in moderation especially during training – you don’t want your pup getting too full or losing interest because they know there’s always more where that came from!
Anyone else use these treats in training their dogs? I’d love to hear how it helped. Remember, for any dietary concerns, it’s best to consult your vet.

ParticipantIn my experience, while Merrick has high-quality ingredients and a good reputation, I’ve found the kibble size to be fairly large for smaller dogs. My two Spaniels struggled a bit with it initially, although they got used to it over time. On an alternate note—If anyone is looking for a similar brand that offers smaller kibble sizes, you might want to try Canidae. They have a range of formulas based on breed size, which can make meal times easier for those pups with tinier teeth! Does anyone else have suggestions for good small-kibble options?

ParticipantReviewing After Years of Royal Canin
Body: Totally agree with all the positive vibes about Royal Canin. I’ve had my Labrador, Max, on it for over a decade now, and he’s never shown any signs of being bored or uninterested in his food. Max is a pretty large lad, and so he appreciates the larger-sized kibble of the Maxi Adult range; plus, it helps keep his gnashers nice and clean! While some might argue that it’s on the pricier side, I believe you’re truly paying for top-tier quality. It’s worth mentioning that each breed’s nutritional needs can be quite different; have you guys noticed any particular varieties your dogs prefer within the Royal Canin range?08/03/2025 at 12:58 PM in reply to: My Personal Milk-Bone Dog Treats Review: A Tale of Satisfaction and Tail-Wagging #6718smartpetlover4263
ParticipantYou know, I’ve recently switched over to using Zuke’s Mini Naturals Training Treats for my Yorkie, Toby. The size of the Milk-Bone treats was a bit too large for him and he seemed to struggle a bit munching on them. However, with Zuke’s, I noticed that the bite-sized pieces were just perfect for Toby’s small mouth – plus, they have a variety of flavors which are great for keeping him interested! Funny story – Toby has now started ‘dancing’ every time I take out the Zuke’s bag indicating that he really loves them. Isn’t it amazing how our pups will let us know what works best for them? Nonetheless, if you’ve got a smaller breed like mine, you might want to give Zuke’s a shot! Anyone else have similar “picky eater” experiences?

ParticipantSo glad to hear you’re loving your FitBark GPS! I got one for my German Shepherd a few years back and the durability realy impressed me too. He’s an absolute roughian when it comes to toys and accessories, but the FitBark stood its ground. As per price, yes, it’s a bit on the high end, but considering its long lifespan and featuresit offers, I’d say it’s very much worthery. Here’s a tip – keep checking the app regularly to understand your pup’s patterns better. It gives you wonderful insights on habits that you might not notice otherwise.
07/21/2025 at 5:32 PM in reply to: Reviewing the Fi Series 3 Dog Collar: Worth the Investment or Just Hype? #7591smartpetlover4263
ParticipantOh, couldn’t agree more about the Fi Series 3 collar. My Siberian Husky, Roxy, has been sporting the ownderful tracking device for months now. I really appreciate the size adjustments it offers – fits like a charm around her neck without causing any discomfort. The material is pretty sturdy and survived Roxy’s escapades without as much as a scratch! As for the price, it sure is an invetsment but believe me, the peace of mind it brings knowing where my sprinter pup runs off to in the wilderness is worth every penny. For those still on the fence, I suggest consider it as a long-term saving from potential search parties or microchipping costs. Are there any others who found any tricks for extending its battery life though?
smartpetlover4263
ParticipantI’ve been using the Tracki GPS on my Golden Retriever for a good few months now. No doubt, he gives it a hard time, with all his running and romping around! I can confirm the durability is impressive; it has survived many of our outdoor escapades. However, like many have pointed out here, its size does bother my pooch, especially during longer trails. And don’t get me started on the falling off – we’ve had a few close calls! While the pricing falls within an acceptable range for me, it’s definately something to consider when you compare features with other options like Whistle Go Explore or Fitbark GPS. Anyone else had similar experiences with their fur-baby? Or any tips to make it more comfortable for him?
07/07/2025 at 3:23 PM in reply to: “Authority Dog Treats Review: A Savory Delight or Not Worth the Bite?” #7166smartpetlover4263
ParticipantI’ve been a fan of Authority Dog Treats for around 4 years now. I got my retriever, Bailey, on them when he was jsut a pup annd they’ve become a staple in our rewarding and training routine. They’re the right size for him to chew easily – not too big but still substantial, and they last pretty long even considering Bailey’s powerful jaws!
For price point compared to quality, I believe these treats are unbeatable. My one gripe would be that they can get a tad crumbly sometimes which isn’t ideal when I want to take them along for walks or outdoor training sessions. So for those times, I prefer using more durable treat options (like rubber Kong toys filled with snack) that can withstand the adventure!
What does everybody else use during their outdoor sessions? Are there any particular brands you’d recommend for more robust treats?
smartpetlover4263
ParticipantYeah, the Tracki GPS right? Definitely one of my favorite tech buys for my furry buddy. The size of the device is really fitting, it’s barely noticeable on Fido’s collar, which was quite a relief because I was worried it would bother him initially. Durability-wise, it can withstand most dog related shenanigans…I mean this thing survived when Fido decided to go for an impromptu swim in the lake last summer! For its price point, I gotta admit, it delivers great value! But remember to check the battery level regularly, as the device won’t notify you when it’s running low – learned this the hard way during our camping trip last month. Anyone else using Tracki have any neat tips or tricks for maximizing battery life?

ParticipantI’m absolutely in agreement with the positive reviews of Authority Dog Treats. I’ve been using these for my Rottweiler, Bruno, and he wolfs them down like there’s no tomorrow! What I really appreciate about these treats is their convenient size – they’re not too big, not too small, just enough for a little reward or distraction. Plus, even with Bruno’s mighty jaws, they hold up well and don’t crumble easily. In terms of price, you get what you pay for – solid quality without breaking the bank. A word of advice tho, while these seem to be a big hit with our furry friends, always remember to regulate treat consumption! It’s easy for them to gobble up more than necessary because they love the taste so much. Anyone else notice their dogs gobbling them up quicker than usual?

ParticipantI totally get why many of you folks are digging the Blue Buffalo treats. I gave it a shot with my husky, Koda, but found that they were a bit too big for his liking. So, I switched to Zuke’s Mini Naturals Dog Treats and he absolutely loves them! More bite-sized and easy for him to digest. In terms of cost, they are pretty comparable to Blue Buffalo. Anyone else have pups who prefer smaller sized treats?
