ParticipantQuestion about Invoxia’s Recharging Process
Hey dog-lovers, just wanted to share my experience annd see if you all have some insights! I’ve been using the Invoxia for my energetic Lab, Max, for about three months now. I love its light weightiness and it doesn’t seem to bother Max at all. However, we spend a lot of time outdoors hiking and exploring, and I find myself needing to recharge it quite frequently. Anyone else dealing with this? The battery life was one of the selling points for me but it seems to drain faster than I anticipated. Are there any tips on extending the battery life perhaps? Or it’s just me feeling this way? Thanks in advance!

ParticipantI completely get where you’re coming from with the Halo Collar 3 – it’s undeniably convenient. As a Poodle mom who lives in a city, I can really appreciate its geo-fencing feature. I’ve set boundaries for my pooch, Max, that stops him from wandering into dangerous areas like the road. However, I find the collar to be a bit on the heavier side for smaller breeds like mine. Max seemed uncomfortable at first, but he adjusted after some days. Regarding the price point, it may not be affordable for every pet owner but maybe worth it if your fur baby is an escape artist or likes exploring too much!
09/08/2025 at 11:18 PM in reply to: Our Experience with Good ’n’ Fun Dog Treats: Honest Review #7270mellowterrier7329
ParticipantWhile I understand the love for Good ’n’ Fun treats (and believe me, my Lab mix Daisy is all over them too!), it’s true that their size inconsistency can be a bit bothersome. Just couple days back, dug from a new bag and there was this giganto piece, nearly tripled the normal size! LOL Daisy looked at me like Christmas came early. Anyway, we’ve actually switched over to Benebone Chew Toys recently. Small caveat though – they’re more of a chew toy than a consumable treat. But hey, they last longer and are made with real food ingredients too. Plus, no size surprises! Anyone else tried those?
08/08/2025 at 5:24 AM in reply to: Digging into Canine Nutrition: A Comprehensive Royal Canin Dry Dog Food Review #6438mellowterrier7329
ParticipantJumping into the mix with my experience. I’ve been feeding my Golden Retriever, Bella, Royal Canin for about 3 years now. She’s a bit of a picky eater, but took to this food immediately- truly devoured it! Size-wise, the kibbles are perfectly tailored for her jaws and she had no trouble chewing. One downside, though certainly worth the trade off for quality nutrition, is the price point- it’s a bit pricier than other brands on the market. But seeing Bella energetic and happy is well worth it for us. Has anyone else noticed increased energy in their pooch after switching to Royal Canin?

ParticipantAbsolutely agree with you guys about the Tracki GPS. I’ve been using it for my Beagle who’s a proper explorer! Found him once in a crowded park, only God knows how he got out and far from sight! Gave me such a scare but thanks to this little gadget, we were reunited. When looking into getting one, do make sure to measure your dog’s collar size before buying since it might end up being too loose or tight to attach properly – been there, learned that lesson the hard way with a previous tracker! Would 100% recommend the Tracki GPS to any worried pet owner out there. Though I have to say, its durability really stands out at this price point. Not even my energizer-bunny-like Beagle can damage it! Let me know if you guys have found any other cool features on it?

ParticipantThe Bigger Picture of Tracki GPS For Large Breeds
I’ve been using the Tracki GPS for about 4 years now with my St Bernard, and I echo its suitability for large breeds. Its durable material withstands even his rambunctious ways, and surprisingly, it’s not as bulky as you’d think on such a large boy! Regarding price, I consider it money well spent for peace of mind.
Yet, I found the GPS signal to be slightly inconsistent in heavily wooded areas (anyone else had this?). Would love to know how it fares for others in similar environments. Overall though, can’t deny – a great tool especially when we’re on our outdoor adventures. Remember, always check the fit regularly as your dog grows or changes weight – learned that one the hard way!

ParticipantAgreeing with you all about the Wet Noses dog treats. I’ve got a husky named Luna who can’t get enough of them. What worked for us isn’t just that she loves the taste, but also the size is perfect for training purposes and they hold up well during outdoor sessions. With their competitive pricing, it’s an added plus. Luna once hunted down a ‘hidden’ treat in my jacket pocket, indicating that the smell really drives her! Do others use these treats for training purposes as well? And what other flavors are your four-legged friends into?
06/18/2025 at 3:33 AM in reply to: “Discovering Delectable Delights: My Howl’s Kitchen Dog Treats Review” #6847mellowterrier7329
ParticipantAbsolutely on board with you guys – my Akita, Yuki, loves How’s Kitchen Treats! What I particularly like about them is the size. They’re small enough for her to enjoy multiple throughout the day without overdoing her calorie intake – tricky business with Akitas, as many of you might know! Their price seems to be quite balanced for what they offer, too.
Quick story time: One day, I switched from these treats to another premium brand (trying to add some variety), but Yuki acted up during our training sessions. Boy, did she give me some side-eye! Swapped back to Howl’s Kitchen and it was as if nothing had happened.
That being said, has anyone tried any other flavors or perhaps their grain-free options? Are they just as good? Just curious. But overall, two thumbs up from this pawrent for Howl’s Kitchen. We’ll be sticking with them for now.

ParticipantThe Boxers and the Miniature Pinschers Unite in Agreement!
Body: I couldn’t agree more about Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats. My boxer, Louis, absolutely goes nuts for them. I think it’s not only the taste but also the siize. They are just small enough to motivate him to learn new tricks without making him too full or distracted.
As for durability, I’m impressed too. A pouch last us around a month of daaily, constant training sessions (Louis is quite the slow learner). For the price point, this longevity certainly adds value!
I’ve noticed that introducing these treats slowly into our routine made the transition smoother. Started off as rewards for basic commands then gradually used them for complex tasks.
By the way, has anyone compared these Dog Train-Me! treats to other brands like Bixbi’s Pocket Trainers? Interested in hearing about your personal experiences!

ParticipantMerrick Treats – A Game Changer in Our Training Routine
Oh, let me talk about our experience with Merrick treats! We adopted an Australian Shepherd, Bonnie, about a year ago and started using these during her obedience training. They’ve been an absolute game-changer for us. Unlike many other treats we’ve tried, Merrick’s are just the right size. Not too small that they’re gone in a flash but not too big that they become a meal replacement by accident!
One thing I’ve noticed about the Merrick brand treats is their resistance to breaking apart, which is really great when we are on long walks or hikes. They hold up well even in my pocket with all the movement and jiggling around. Also speaking of price, for the value and quality you get it’s definitely worth it.
However, one slight hiccup was introducing them to Bonnie initially as she seemed to be unsure about it first – a tip here would be to gradually introduce them mixed with their favorite snack. With some time and patience its now her favorite way to finish a successful training session or walk.
I’d strongly recommend giving these Merrick treats a shoot if your fur friend is picky or you’re looking for a durable, affordable option. But always remember each dog’s preferences can differ so what works for Bonnie might not necessarily work for other lovely pooches out there!
05/14/2025 at 12:33 PM in reply to: In-depth Canine Carry Outs Dog Treats Review: Worth the Bark or Not? #7030mellowterrier7329
ParticipantAbsolutely agree with the original poster, Canine Carry Outs dog treats are definitely worth the bark. My curious Labrador retriever, Sammy, can’t get enough of them. I find their size perfect for training sessions – not too small that Sammy feels unrewarded and not very large that he gets full quickly. They’re pretty durable too and don’t crumble away, which is a blessing considering how mess-loving Labradors can be! For anyone trying these out for the first time, I’d recommend starting off small just to check if your pup enjoys the taste as much as Sammy does.
The affordability factor adds cherry on the top. However, just as a reminder though, while these treats work great for training and occasional rewards, they shouldn’t replace a well-rounded diet or serve as main meal source. Also, it’s ideal to consult with your vet if your dog has specific nutritional needs or you observe any unusual reactions.
Has anyone tried the other flavors? We’ve only done the beef flavor so far but thinking about introducing Sammy to chicken or bacon next.

ParticipantA Long Time Merrick User, Here’s My Insight!
I’ve been serving up Merrick treats to my terrier for nearly a decade now and she simply can’t get enough! She adores the size of the treats; they’re just small enough for her to enjoy without upsetting her stomach. I’ve found the perfect combination to be Merrick’s as training rewards as they’re just so irresistible to her.
Plus, durability-wise, they last really long in my pantry, meaning I don’t need to keep restocking. My biggest advice? Keep the packaging sealed tight to maintain freshness – trust me, your furry friend will thank you!
Has anyone else noticed a difference when you change up the flavor? We typically go for chicken but thought about introducing beef into the mix- thoughts?

ParticipantWhile I appreciate all the positive chatter about the Tractive GPS, did anyone else find it a bit larger than expected? Don’t get me wrong, the tracking capabilities are exceptional and ultimately what you’re getting it for, but when I initially attached it to my spry little Miniature Schnauzer, “Biscuit,” he seemed a bit perplexed by his new neck accessory.
I’m also concerned about the durability over time due to frequent outdoor exposure. How is everyone else’s fairing after a few months/years? Oh, and if you happen to have a smaller breed like mine, here’s a wee tip: introduce the tracker slowly by attaching it during their most active times so they could adapt quicker. Has anyone figured any other creative training tweaks regarding size/durability?
mellowterrier7329
ParticipantDefinitely have to agree with you guys on the Open Farm Dry Dog Food—it’s so well-liked in our household that our Golden Doodle Charlie seems to enjoy meal times more than anything else! What I realy appreciate is the manageable kibble size. As soon as we made the switch, Charlie started having an easier time chewing annd genuinely enjoying her meals.
Just a tip for anyone new transitioning their pup onto this food—I found mixing it in with their old food actually helps ease them into it. Start off with just a quarter of the new food and slowly increase it over the course of a week or so.
Has anyone tried the other flavors? I’ve only used the turkey and chicken variety, but curious as to how other dogs took to the rest.
mellowterrier7329
ParticipantOh, the Open Farm Dry Dog Food, such a blast from the past! My border collie, Midge, was all about that chow for a good year before we transitioned her onto a raw diet (vet’s suggestion). Nice-sized kibble, not too hard for her to crunch and she didn’t leave any leftovers. Plus, it wasso easy to schlep the bag home from the store – compact and sturdy packaging. Sustainability being their thing too, if memory serves.
What I always thought was cool about it was the ingredient transparency. You’ve got your ethically sourced meats, veggies…even probiotics for better digestion thrown in there for good measure. What’s not to love? Throw some water in with it every now and then so they’re getting enough fluids but otherwise you’re golden.
How are iyou finding the price point though? Last I remember it wasn’t exactly light on the ol’ wallet.
