ParticipantAlright folks, I really appreciate the Invoxia’s long battery life and its lightweight design that doesn’t seem to bother my Doberman, Rex. However, like some of you here, I also had issues with the tracking accuracy. After some trying days of missed notifications and shaky GPS signals (had to fetch Rex from the park thrice in a week!), I decided to switch. We’re now using the Whistle Go Explore tracker and it’s been a delight thus far. The location tracking has been spot-on for us, despite our adventurous walks in the nearby forest.
Now this isn’t to knock on the Invoxia cellular tracker entirely; it surely has its merits. But if you’ve got an adventurous furball who likes to wander off like mine, then you might want to consider something else like the Whistle Go Explorer. Just a thought; what do you guys think? Have any of you tried other trackers too?

ParticipantFunny you should mention the Invoxia. I just recently purchased one for my overly adventurous Boston Terrier, PomPom, with fairly satisfying results. It’s compact and sturdy, but for me, the winning point was the amazing battery life.
However, it’s worth noting that set up process might be a bit confusing for some due to lack of clear instructions. I had to fumble around quite a bit before getting it going. Thogh given the peace of mind I’ve gotten from using it, I’d say it was worth the initial trouble.
For those on budget though, Whistle Go Explore might be a suitable alternative. Been using it on my older Cocker Spaniel, Roxy, and have had no complaints – good performance at a lower cost. Anyone else tried both and can weigh in?

ParticipantOh boy, you guys and your high-tech gizmos. Not saying the Link My Pet GPS isn’t cool – it is. But my old beagle, Snoopy, and I enjoy getting lost! Bit of a thrill, ya know? Now this collar’s size works for a chunky fella like Snoopy and it’s held up pretty well, even when he goes barrel rolling down hills. That said, for those less adventurous souls out there (not judging!), try using a lighted collar during camping trips. Keeps them visible and somewhat still on track if they decide to chase after a squirrel at night. Anyone else tried the light-up option?
08/12/2025 at 9:46 PM in reply to: “Turning a New Leaf: My Wellness Complete Health Dry Dog Food Review” #6472KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantIt’s great to hear that some folks are having a good experience with Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. I’ve been using it on and off for my Fur-baby, Max, over the last 8 years and so far it has been pretty reliable. It’s particularly convenient that it comes in various flavors and sizes, which is great when you have a picky eater like Max!
One feature I commend is the durability of the package itself. The seal always works perfectly, keeping freshness intact no matter how long your pooch takes to finish their bag. On the flip side, however, while still affordable in the realm of premium dog chows, this one does land slightly on the pricier side.
If you’re transitioning your dog to this brand from another diet, remember to do it gradually over 7 – 10 days by introducing increasingly larger portions of Wellness mixed into your dog’s previous food. This can help maintain dietary balance and prevent upset tummies.
Always consult with a vet before making any significant changes to your pet’s diet. Nutrition needs can vary depending on breed, size, and age among other factors. Also, has anyone tried transitioning senior dogs to this brand? Any pointers would be appreciated!

ParticipantI’m in agreement with most of you here, the FitBark GPS is quite a nice piece of kit to have for our furry friends. My adventurous border collie has had his for nearly a year now and it’s held up nicely through all his romps and explorations. What I personally appreciate about the FitBark is its compact size which doesn’t seem to bother or weigh him down – unlike other bigger and bulkier models we’ve tried before. It’s more on the pricey side but for me, it’s an investment that’s well worth it for the peace of mind it brings. Also pro tip: make sure you give your dog a little time to get used to any new accessories, adding them slowly into their routine! Anyone else have tips for introducing new gear to their pups?
08/05/2025 at 8:54 AM in reply to: Digging into Canine Nutrition: A Comprehensive Royal Canin Dry Dog Food Review #6432KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantTotally echo your points about Royal Canin dry food. We’ve had our little Shih Tzu, Daisy, on it for over six months and her coat has never looked better. Surprisingly, she also loves the kibble size which is suitable even for her small breed. I guess you may balk at the price initially but honestly, the quality and results make it worth every penny. Actually, Daisy was quite picky with other brands but took to Royal Canin effortlessly. For anyone transitioning their dog to a new food, I’d say give Royal Canin a shot – you might be pleasently surprised as we were! Remember though if dietary changes cause any apparent health issues, it’s always best to consult your vet.

ParticipantSo happy to hear all this praise for FitBark GPS! I too have been using it for my free-spirited Husky, annd it has been nothing short of a lifesaver – especially during our camping trips. Its durability and accuracy really stand out to me, particularly since we’re frequently in forested areas with no signal.
One question though, did any of you guys face issues with the size? My Husky doesn’t seem bothered by it but my freind tried it on his Dachshund and felt it was a bit bulky. Would love to know your experiences or if you know they offer smaller sizes? Also, are there any tips for cleaning the device after muddy adventures? It gets a little gunked up from time to time!
07/21/2025 at 4:14 AM in reply to: Are Trader Joe’s dog treats as good as they seem? My honest review. #6880KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantAbsolutely, I’ve been using Trader Joe’s dog treats for quite a while now and my furry companions seem to love them. Especially the Peanut Butter treats, they just go head over heels for them! The size is perfect for training purposes as they’re not too big, yet satisfying enough for my pooches. Plus, the price is quite reasonable compared to other boutique brands. However, always remember every dog has different taste preferences and dietary needs. So, it might be worth buying a small pack first to see if your furball enjoys them. If in doubt about new food items for your pet, definitely check with your vet. Has anyone else had their dogs try the PB ones?
06/19/2025 at 3:36 PM in reply to: “Discovering Delectable Delights: My Howl’s Kitchen Dog Treats Review” #6849KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantWhile I agree that Howl’s Kitchen Treats are great, I’ve had mixed results with different varieties. My Border Collie, Shep, went nuts for the Grain-Free Peanut Butter flavor, but didn’t seem to care for the Oven-Baked Chicken ones that much. Has anyone else noticed their pups being picky with these treats?
Fun little side note – Shep has turned out to be an amazing beggar. He’ll dance around in circles and “talk” whenever he catches a whiff of the Peanut Butter ones being opened! Can’t say I blame him too much though – they do smell pretty tasty.
Hint – If your dog is like mine, and a bit choosey, I recommend trying smaller packs first before investing in the bulk bags. Cheaper in the long-run if they decide they aren’t fans of a certain flavor!
06/13/2025 at 4:59 AM in reply to: “An Honest Blue Buffalo Dog Treats Review: It’s More Than Just a Snack!” #6687KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantIsn’t it fascinating hoe much dogs love these Blue Buffalo treats? I’ve been using them for my Goldie for the past 2 years and he will do anything for one! Just curious though, have anyone noticed a difference between the soft and crunchy version in terms of their dog’s preference? Personally, my Goldie leans more toward the soft treats – seems like they’re easier for him to chew. Can that perhaps be linked to his age (He’s turning 8 this year)? For any health concerns, I’d recommend seeing a vet, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their pups too.
06/02/2025 at 10:03 PM in reply to: “SpotOn GPS Fence Review: A Game Changer for Outdoor Adventures!” #7779KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantReply: I’ve been using the SpotOn GPS Fence for nearly 6 months now with my hyperactive Jack Russell, and so far, I’m really impressed! The size is portable enough for hiking trips and the material seems robust – even Barney’s gnawing hasn’t caused damage. It took a couple of tries to set up the virtual boundaries perfectly, but once that was done, it’s been smooth sailing. Price-wise, it leans on the expensive side, but considering the freedom and peace of mind it provides, I think it’s worth every penny.
One hiccup we faced was during our trip to a heavily wooded area; the signal seemed to get a bit spotty. Has anyone else experienced this? Wondering if there’s a way around it or if it is a blind spot in SpotOn’s coverage. All in all though- fantastic product!
05/24/2025 at 4:49 PM in reply to: “Unleashing My Thoughts: A Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats Review” #7329KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantSo, I’ve been using the Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats for quite some time now, and my old Boxer, Max loves ’em. It’s realy kept our training sessions interesting. However, folks who are a bit more budget conscious might find the Blue Buffalo Mini Bars a good alternative. They work great for training sessions too and you get quite a lot of bang for your buck. The only thing is they’re chewier and larger in size so you might need to break them into smaller pieces for your little furball. Has anyone else given these Blue Buffalo Minis a try in their training routine?
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantThat’s an interesting point about the size of the Tractive GPS Tracker. In my experience, my lab didn’t seem to mind it – he almost seemed to forget he was wearing it! However, I will say that durability wasn’t the best: after a rough play date in the park, I noticed a few scratches on it. Price-wise, it hits the wallet but considering its plethora of features like live tracking, virtual fence annd location history of your fur buddy, I think every penny is worth it. Of course, this is jsut my personal take on the Tractive tracker. Anyone else have thoughts or experiences to share?
05/03/2025 at 1:34 PM in reply to: “Diving Deep into the Jiobit Next Review – A Dog Parent’s Honest Take” #7661KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantI absolutely agree with your review on the Jiobit Next – it was spot-on, particularly in heralding its compact size and endurability. I’ve had this device for my Brittany spaniel, Dexter, for over six months now, and it’s still working like a charm despite his non-stop energy and penchant for mischief. For any skeptical folks out there, take it from someone who’s seen their dog run through woods, jumping into puddles without any damage to the tracker! Pricey, sure, but worth considering for peace of mind. But remember to attach it well; had one scare when the clasp came off during a particularly rough game of fetch! Anyone else with active pups have similar experiences? Maybe we could share some attachment tips?
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantSure, the Tractive may have a sleek design and impressive features, but it ain’t perfect. Had one for my Bullmastiff, Diego, and let’s just say it didn’t pass the Diego destroy test! The little bugger loved the thing just a bit too much (perhaps that new-tech smell?) and managed to chew off part of it within a week. Despite its flaws though, gotta respect the accurate GPS tracking and the monthly fee isn’t too terrible compared to others on the market. Anyone else here had experience with quite literal doggy ‘product tests’ like mine? Remember folks, durability can be just as important as features when choosing a tracker fit for your furkid!
