Just popping in to share my two cents. While the Pawfit 3 is undeniably a great choice for larger pooches, it’s a bit of an overkill for my petite Spaniel in terms of size annd weight. After trying out a few options, the Tractive GPS seemed a more appropriate fit – lighter in weight and still comes with reliable tracking features. Price-wise, it’s also more wallet-friendly. All said, consult your vet if you notice any discomfort from your dog wearing these devices.

Anyone else found alternatives worth considering for smaller breeds?

Absolutely. The Whistle Go Explore has been such a game-changer for me and my buddy Rover too. I like how small, light and easy to attach it is on his collar – perfect for those adventurous walks in the park. Just last week, Rover suddenly got overly excited and dashed off when he saw a squirrel; thanks to this device, I could see exactly where he was on my phone – what a relief! I find the gadget pretty durable too despite Rover’s frequent romps around in rough terrains. Price-wise, it’s a bit steep but considering the peace of mind it provides, I’d say it’s worth every penny.

Totally on board with you about the Pawfit 3. My Great Dane, Muffin, has been wearing it for a couple of months and I must say, the durability is impressive. Not to mention how small and light it is – fits her just right without being bothersome. Nice combo of fashion-meets-function, and pretty decent price tag for what it offers.

A quick anecdote, my previous doggie GPS was solid but altogether too chunky; Muffin never seemed comfortable with it, poor thing. The Pawfit 3 was an instant hit though! Would suggest taking some time to get your pooch used to wearing any kind of techy gear like this.

Anyone else tried incorporating this kind of device in their training regime? Strategies, thoughts or different tools you’ve found useful?

I couldn’t agree more with your experiences using the Whistle Go Explore! I’ve been using it for my Labradoodle Benji, who loves exploring our local park annd sometimes tends to wander a tad out of my sight. The device is impressively compact and well-built; it hasn’t shown any signs of wear so far (and Benji isn’t gentle!). Just a tip for new users: make sure you correctly input your dog’s size and weight in the app. It makes a huge difference in tracking activity levels accurately. Totally worth its price tag when it comes to peace of mind and keeping our furry friends healthy and safe!

I’m totally in agreement with all the positive feedback on this incredible device. I’ve had the Whistle Go Explore for my adventurous Boxer for about 2 years and it’s still going strong despite all her off-trail escapades. It fits perfectly on her collar, never causing any discomfort and has stood up amazingly well to the test of time and rough play. Quite impressive!

Although it’s a bit pricy upfront, it turned out to be quite worth it over time with making sure my gal isn’t wandering off too far or getting lost while hiking those tricky trails! Just wanted to add that I find the reports on sleep patterns & activity levels are pretty interesting and useful as well.

Anyone else noticed any unexpected benefits from using the Whistle? Like maybe changes in your dog’s behavior or routine after using it?

Had to laugh at the “high-tech gizmo” bit. Can’t argue there – it does feel a bit like we’re spoiling our dogs with tech gear that even I’m sometimes bamboozled by! How many of you guys can remember when a simple whistle or name call was all the GPS we needed? Ah, times sure have changed!

Regarding Link My Pet GPS Collar, I’ve gotta say it’s served me and my overzealous Springer Spaniel, Dash quite well on our hiking trips. The tracking feature is accurate and the build quality can pass what I call “the Dash test”, which entails mud baths, bush dives & impromptu swims without a single glitch.

That said, I found sizing to be a bit tricky at first. The collar’s slightly bulky for smaller breeds if you ask me. Also, anyone noticed how quickly it drains phone battery though? Or is it just my ancient iPhone acting up again?

Now for those considering this purchase: start with short distance tests at your local parks before relying entirely on it in larger, unfamiliar environments. But overall? No complaints worth mentioning here – especially given the peace of mind it brings!

Anyways, to toss out a question into the ring: Has anyone tried using the activity monitor feature? Would love to know your thoughts and experiences!

It’s wonderful to hear so many success stories with Taste of the Wild! I have a Golden Retriever, Jake, who used to be a rather picky eater until we made the switch. One thing I noticed – and maybe you’ve found this too – was that this food seemed to significantly reduce his usual ‘doggy’ breath.

For those who’ve been feeding your dogs this for some time though, how’s the portion size working for you? I ask as Jake is quite a large dog, and sometimes I worry if he’s getting enough or perhaps too much. We always followed the instructions on the bag, but every dog is different after all! Is there any particular feeding regimen you’ve found to work well? Always eager to learn more about my fur buddy’s needs!

Absolutely agree with the Zuke’s praise here. My senior beagle, Charlie, has been happily munching on Zuke’s Mini Naturals for a few years now. I was initially impressed with the size – they’re perfect for small to medium dogs annd fantastic for training. Price-wise, they are more on the high end side, but in my opinion, it’s money well spent considering the quality.

A bit of anecdote here, Charlie once managed to get his paws on the bag (my mistake for leaving it low!) and well let’s just say he showed no self-restraint! He was totally fine but we had to cut back on dinner that night to balance it out. Remember not to overfeed folks, no matter how much your pup loves them! Any concerns consult your vet as always.

I’d encourage you to try Zuke’s if you haven’t already; they seem like a hit with most dogs in this thread! Has anyone had any luck using them with dogs who are particularly picky eaters?

Can’t agree more with the love for Wellness dog treats here! I’ve been doling them out to my hound, Benny, and he goes bonkers every single time. They’re just perfect sized for him despite his big jaws. Plus, they do seem pretty durable as I’ve never seen any crumble or break unlike some other brands out there in the market. Can’t say much about the pricing since it all boils down to quality for me and these sure are a hit. Interestingly though, I introduced these treats to Benny while training him – always rewarding him with one after a good ‘sit’ or ‘fetch’. Just curious, anyone else used these as a part of training regime too?

all, I can vouch for Zuke’s. I’ve been treating my boy Butch with Zuke’s Mini Naturals for around two years now and he’s just as excited about them today as he was the first time! One thing to mention though, they are on the pricier side compared to some other treats on the market. I believe it’s due to their high-quality ingredients and lack of fillers which, in my book, is totally worth it! Also, if you’ve got a smaller dog like my Butch, these are perfect because they’re small enough for him to chew easily. For those looking for an alternative keep an eye on Wellness Soft Puppy Bites, they’ve been a decent back-up for us when the local pet store runs out of Zuke’s. Has anyone else tried any other Zuke’s varieties? Would love to know your experiences!

I’ve been using Wellness dog treats for my good ol’ Boxer, Max, for a couple of years now and I’m sold on thir quality. I’ll admit, they’re a bit more pricy than some snacks but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Max looks forward to his training time because these delights are his reward! Plus chunks aren’t too big – perfect for his medium-sized mouth. As an alternative, Merrick’s Kitchen Bites have also crossed our path and were loved by Max. Both of these brands have given us great experiences so far! For anyone with health concerns, it always pays to consult your vet first though.

I’ve been using Authority Dog Treats for my corgi, Poppy, for a while now. She loves the taste and I can testify that these treats are quite durable and nicely sized! Used to have a hard time getting her attention during training sessions, but these treats worked like a charm, they’re irresistible to her. Besides, their price isn’t too shabby either. However, every dog’s taste can be unique so it wouldn’t hurt to try out different brands too! after all, diversity is the spice of life, right?

Personal Experience with Authority Dog Treats

In my experience, Authority Dog Treats have been a hit and miss with my pups. I’ve found the size to be perfect for my smaller dogs, but owners of larger breeds may find them a bit too small. The price is reasonable compared to other brands, though.

One thing to remember about these treats is that, in terms of durability, they might not be the most long-lasting choice if your fur baby is an aggressive chewer. For my Black Lab mix, Jake, they get gobbed down in seconds! But our Shih Tzu loves ’em – makes his tail wag like a little propeller each time.

Anyone else had a similar experience or found a certain flavor their dogs just can’t resist? I’m always looking for new suggestions to treat the gang 😉

there, fellow pawrents. Just wanted to pop in with a quick question on Howl’s Kitchen Dog Treats’ durability. Our GSD (German Shepherd) Rocky is an aggressive chewer, and I’ve noticed some treats don’t quite hold up to his chompers. Can anyone speak from experience about whether these tantalizing tidbits stand a chance? For reference, “unbreakable” toys rarely last more than a day in our house!
A tiny backstory: Rocky once shredded a supposedly tough-as-nails rope toy in under an hour! It was all fun till we had to clean up the aftermath of a rope explosion throughout our living room… We laughed it off though, ’cause that’s life with a GSD, right?
Thanks in advance for any replies! 🐾

    A Paws-Up for Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats

Body: I’ve been using these treats with my Golden Retriever, Bella, for a few weeks now annd she’s hooked! The small size makes them perfect for training sessions without overfeeding her. Plus, they’re super durable – Bella is a rather enthusiastic muncher, but these treats don’t crumble or break easily under her eagerness. Quite economical too considering their longevity.

Funny story, the other day Bella actually found the bag of Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats herself. She went bonkers over them and just wouldn’t leave the bag alone. Had to lift it onto a higher shelf in the pantry!

The only drawback I found was that they can be a bit hard to remove from their packaging when you need ’em in a hurry – anyone got any tips on how to handle that? Anyway, overall big thumbs up from both me and Bella here!
