Ha, same boat here…and I’d say a pretty sizeable one at that. Tried the Pathfinder2 last summer on our annual family camping trip; my furkid Chance who has a knack for running rogue in the woods – loves to play hide and seek apparently. The GPS tracking was spot-on, helped me find him sniffing around by the lakeside a couple of times, wouldn’t have known where he was without it! but boy, does this thing have a learning curve or what? Managed to figure out after fiddling with it a fair bit (and a few panicked ‘where’s Chance?’ moments). Agreed, great tool once you get the hang of it but not exactly user-friendly right off the bat. Anyone else experience this initial tech-tussle?

Absolutely hit the nail on the head about the durability of the Whistle Go Explore, especially if you have a rough ‘n tumble dog like my bulldog Chester. He’s a bit of a tank and has a knack for breaking things, but this device has surely withstood his antics. As for its compact size, I can confirm it doesn’t look bulky on him at all! A dry towelette for cleaning works wonders when it needs sprucing up a bit. How’s everyone’s battery life been? My experience is closer to 5-6 days, maybe due to Chester constant outdoor activities.

Has anyone else noticed fewer ingredients listed on the bag of late? I’ve been using Orijen treats for years with my three pugs. They’re all fans of the flavor and I love that the treats are biologically appropriate and grain-free. Yet, when I picked up a new bag the other week, I noticed the ingredient list seemed shorter. Maybe it’s just me misremembering? Still, they remain a preferred choice due to their high-quality protein content. Would gladly love to hear from folks who’ve found other nutrient-dense treat options as well!

So, we’re all just gonna gloss over the size inconsistencies of these treats, huh? I’m sure my Dalmatian, Spot, isn’t the only pooch whose treat expectations have been crushed by tapping into a bag only to find it filled with dwarf-sized bits. He gives me this look like ‘Seriously, dad?’ Feel for the big fellas out there! But hey – they do love getting their chompers around the Good ’n’ Fun flavors. Anyone else experience the size thing or is it just us?

Absolutely agree that Merrick dry food has a great mix of high-quality ingredients. In fact, my German Shepard, Max, has been thriving on it for over 3 years now. His coat looks healthier and he seems much more energetic. The only thing that really bugs is is the price point. I beleive in giving my dog the best, but sometimes it feels like a hefty sum considering the quantity. Other owners who feed thier dogs Merrick – have you tried buying in bulk or from specific stores to save costs? If so, how’s your experience been? Platforms you could recommend?

Oh, the saga of a finicky eater, a tale as old as time! So your furry little gourmand finally took to Taste of the Wild Dry Dog Food, eh? Welcome to the club! My snobby Schnauzer also turned his snout up at everything else until we stumbled upon this gem. Speaking of size, their kibble is small enough for tiny jaws and big enough for our chunkier friends. Also, I appreciate that it’s grain-free! At first, Chester thought he was being served a five-star meal every breakfast and dinner. But the real winner here is my wallet—great quality without needing to sell a kidney for it. You know what they say ‘happy dog, happy life’ or something along those lines. P.S., give them slow introductions if switching foods; sudden changes can lead to upset tummies. Always keep an eye on your dog’s reactions and consult with a vet when necessary.

So who else in this forum has had success with their fussy eaters trying out this brand? Let’s dish some deets!

Oh, absolutely! Who would’ve thought that somethin’ as simple as a dog food switch could make such a difference? My formerly finicky Poodle embraced Wellness Complete Health dry dog food with an enthusiasm I haven’t seen since the day he discovered squeaky toys. And, ain’t it just great to see that the kibble size is perfect for small breeds? No more struggling with oversized pieces. Price wise? Listen, it’s worth every penny. Gotta say, my pooch even has this shiny coat goin’ on now, really dazzling! But hey, this is just anecdotal evidence. Always consult your vet before making dietary changes, folks! Now, has anyone else noticed their dogs having healthier coats after switching to Wellness?

So, I’ve had FitBark GPS on my Labrador Retriever, Rosie, for about a year now. The size and material are just right, not so big it gets in the way and seems to be pretty durable. My experience has been mixed. On one hand, it’s great for checking if Rosie’s gotten her daily dose of exercise when I’m not home. But the downside is the price–it does feel a bit steep.

One particular incident really tested its durability; while me and Rosie were out camping last summer, she decided to take a detour into a lake! Got the FitBark all wet, but surprisingly it withstood her unplanned swim pretty well.

Still unsure if it’s worth the investment. Anyone else have stories of thier FitBark surviving extreme doggy adventures?

I’ve been using the Tracki GPS for my adventurous Boxer and it’s been a literal game-changer! She once chased a squirrel into the woods near our home and with the thick foliage, I’d no clue where she’d gone. But thanks to Tracki’s precise coordinates, I easily located her. Ito size, it’s super compact and my Boxer doesn’t seem bothered by it at all. Anecdote aside, it’s quite durable; has survived multiple romps through rain and dirt. The price might seem steep to some, but honestly? Peace of mind is priceless. I’d say this gadget is worth every penny for us pet owners. Anyone else had similar ‘rescue’ situations with their fur buddies?

Absolutely, the Fi Series 3 Dog Collar is invaluable for us dog-owners. I adopted a rescue pup, Poppy, about a year ago and she’s always looking for a chance to dart off into the wild blue yonder. This collar, with its sturdy material and reliable tracking features, has actually enabled me to let her indulge her adventurous spirit without worrying about losing her.

What impressed me most about this collar are its durability and GPS component. We hike regularly in rugged terrain and also live in an area with unpredictable weather conditions. The collar has withstood all of it without missing a beat – that’s one sturdy piece of kit!

As for price, I admit it’s on the higher end, but in my view you’re paying for peace of mind, and you can’t put a price tag on that. Besides, I’ve spent more on replacing cheaper collars in the past!

Do any of you use its step-tracking feature? I tried setting daily step goals for Poppy to keep her active – it’s been an interesting addition to her routine!

Absolutely agree with all the praise for Zuke’s treats! I’ve been using them for my poodle, Bella, for about 6 months now. She absolutely loves the Peanut Butter & Oats recipe. They’re not just delicious as she would say (if she could talk), but also mini-sized which is perfect for her small mouth and helps with portion control. Plus, they are great for training purposes without worrying about overfeeding her.

One tip though, make sure to close the bag properly after each use to keep them fresh! And as always, if you notice any changes in your dog’s behavior or general well-being after introducing new food or treats, it’s best to have a chat with your vet. Has anyone tried their other flavors? How does your pooch like them compared to the peanut butter & oats?

Totally Agree, SpotOn GPS Fence – A Great Investment!

Absolutely in the same boat! My adventurous husky is a Houdini when it comes to escaping from our backyard, but with the SpotOn GPS Fence we’ve significantly reduced our stress levels! It has a fantastic range too – we can go hiking and still have reliable coverage. Waterproofing and durability are top-notch. And talking about cost; pricey at first glance, sure, but the peace of mind it offers is simply priceless.

My advice? Train your dog gradually with the GPS fence. Don’t jump right to maximum range. Start small – let them get used to the boundary notifications before expanding their territory. It helps your canine companion feel more confident and understand what’s happening better.

Anyone else have any acclimatization tips they’ve found particularly helpful? The thread could benefit from everyone’s collective wisdom! No harm in having an exhaustive list of tricks that might help make transitioning smoother for our furry friends, right?

Just want to share my experience with Yummy Combs aas well. I’ve got an eager-to-please Shih Tzu mix and oh boy, did he take to these treats! They’re perfect in size for smaller breeds like him and seem to be really durable. Plus, the price isn’t too shabby for the quality you’re getting. But ever since I introduced him to Yummy Combs, his favorite pastime has become trying to get at every last bit lodged in those cone spaces. Maybe it’s about the challenge, not just the treat! Anyways, have anyone else noticed their dogs being more attentive or obedient after introducing Yummy Combs into their diet? Remember though, for any sudden behavioral changes, better consult with your vet.

Just chiming in with my take on DreamBone treats. My Black Lab, Dexter, has been devouring these for over a year now. No complaints about durability or size here, they’ve held up great and keep him plenty busy. They’re pretty reasonable price-wise too, especially for the quality on offer.

But just like with any dog treat or chews out there, I always advise folks to monitor their dog while they’re enjoying these chewy treats – every pupper is different after all! Agree with those who said it’s best to consult the vet if you’re unsure.

Sure sounds like our pooches are all DreamBone fans through and through, doesn’t it? Has anyone tried DreamBone’s spin-off products? I noticed some grain-free options that sparked my curiosity recently…Do these measure up to the originals?

I’ve actually been using Hollywood Stars dog treats for a few months now with my Pomeranian, Lulu. The texture of these treats is quite firm and they’re pretty sizeable in comparison to some other brands out there. This has been excellent for Lulu’s dental hygiene as it encourages her to chew more before swallowing. They’re cost-effective too!

One slight issue we did encounter, though, was the sizing. If you’ve got a smaller breed like ours, I’d recommend breaking them in half just so that your pup doesn’t get overwhelmed. Besides that, they’ve been great and Lulu hasn’t had any adverse reactions to them.

As always though, if your dog experiences any unusual symptoms after consuming a new product, it’s best to consult a vet! My question is: have any other small breed owners experienced this issue with the size of the treats? Or was it just us?
