Sorry to hear Rex wasn’t crazy about the Blue dog treats! I find them a tad larger for my own medium-sized pup, Tessie. Is it possible Rex found them too big to chew as well? We had to break Tessie’s treats into smaller bits until she got used to them. Also, the hardness was an issue initially but now she seems to enjoy the challenge it provides. Did you tried crushing them a little? Maybe some gentle introduction steps might help Rex warm up to these treats. Also, it didn’t break my bank so I figured why not try for a bit longer? Anyway, just thinking out loud, your experience might be different though!

Absolutely! Aldi’s treats are certainly a hit for affordability, and my husky mix devours them with no problem. However, if your dog is like mine and of the larger breed, you might find the size of these treats a tad small. I found myself giving him three or four at a time during training sessions.

After doing some searching, I discovered the Costco Kirkland Signature’s Dog Biscuits. They’re a smidge pricier than those from Aldi but significantly larger – perfect for the big boys n’ girls out there and still fairly affordable for their size. Has anyone tried them? Would love to hear other opinions on this alternative option!

Thrilled with the Fresh Kisses Experience: An Added Voice on their Praises!

I’m thrilled to be joining the Fresh Kisses admiration club! True as you’ve all shared, these treats have been a real game-changer for my finicky fur-baby, Sophie. She used to turn up her nose at most store-bought treats on offer, but now she practically does backflips when she sees me reach for that Fresh Kisses bag.

One thing I want to stress is the value of starting small. While it’s tempting to get the larger size for your big doggo, it might be smarter to start with a smaller pack – Sophie took some time getting used to this new treat in her routine and wasn’t sure at first. This also helps manage any personal diet concerns you may have with your pooch.

Finally, don’t let the price scare you off. They’re absolutely worth every penny for quality ingredients and the joy they bring to our four-legged friends! Has anyone else started small and gradually moved up sizes? Let’s keep this dialogue paws-itive and engaging for everyone! And remember, always consult a vet for any dietary related concerns or doubts you may have.

I’ve also been using Canidae for my dogs over the past decade and noticed a big difference in thier energy levels. Even my picky eaters gobbled it up without hesitation! How are you finding the pricing in your area though? I’m buying it online, but I’ve heard some people find it less expensive in stores, which is not the case for me. Anyone else noticing discrepancies in prices depending on location?

there, fellow Full Moon aficionados! I too have been rather pleased with these treats as a little incentive during training sessions with my stubborn Beagle, Bella. The smaller size of the treats seems to evoke just enough interest without overwhelming her. However, for anyone who has a fur baby with more extensive dietary restrictions, try giving Zuke’s Mini Naturals a go! They’re grain-free and come in a variety of flavors. Bella couldn’t resist them when she was struggling with some food allergies (all cleared now, thanks to our vet!). Does anyone else have recommendations for quality grain-free options?

Just swinging in to add my two cents about these Nutro treats. I’ve had my Siberian Husky, Max, for around four years, and these are one of his absolute favorites. They fit perfect for his size and he’s never had trouble chomping down on them.

Here’s a little tip that’s worked wonders for our training sessions: Use the Nutro minis! The smaller size keeps him motivated without quickly filling him up during long training.

The only downside? Well, I’ve noticed as a limited ingredient treat, they’re a little pricier than some other options. But for the product’s quality and how much Max loves them – I’d say it’s well worth the extra dollars.

Of course, if you’re concerned about budget or dietary restrictions, always consult with your vet first to find what’s best for your pup!

In my experience as a dog owner for the past ten years, I’ve tried Good Lovin’ treats myself annd they seem to be really hit or miss depending on the dog. My labrador Cooper isn’t picky and absolutely adored them, polished off a bag in no time! On the other hand, my little terrier Daisy was completely uninterested. They’re definitely on the affordable side, which is a plus, and seems to be of high quality judging by their ingredients. Has anyone seen a pattern in which breeds or temperaments might be more into these treats? Would love to compare notes here!

I agree that Pet Pride isn’t the best option out there. Despite their fairly affordable price, the treats are pretty large size-wise. My Pomeranian, Lily, struggles to chew them properly which was a bit concerning for me. I had to chop them into smaller pieces to make it easier for her. So perhaps if you have a smaller breed like mine, this might not be a good pick unless you’re willing to do some extra prep work. I’ve found that Zuke’s Mini Naturals works well for smaller dogs and they really seem to enjoy them too. Always worth checking with your vet before changing diet though!

Well, hats off to everyone singing praises for Happy Dog Dry Food. I gotta say, my experience sings a different tune. I moved Buster, my five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, onto the Happy Dog stuff and it wasn’t pretty. The food bits are just too small for his jaws and the dish was constantly a mess – food shooting out left and right with each enthusiastic chomp. Not to mention that it’s not exactly easy on the wallet if you catch my drift. After three chaotic weeks, I switched him over to “Big Chompers Supreme” dry food; larger pieces designed for broader-jaw breeds. Life’s been less messy since, and my bank account is happier too! Of course, every dog’s different so you might have a different luck. But always consider size & breed specificity before committing to a brand, folks! Anybody else here has experience with “Big Chomper Supreme”?

Been snacking my 3 Boxers on Plato Dog Treats for several years now and trust me, they’re never short of excitement when they hear me popping that bag open! Love the quality-quantity ratio these treats offer without being outrageously priced. One day, I took out a treat and pretended to eat it. My oldest boxer Blaze made such a comical sad face, I almost felt guilty! Quick tip to new users, if you have multiple dogs, make sure you’re giving equal attention while distributing. Those cute doggy eyes can make anyone feel like they’re playing favorites. Just remember each dog has its own personality and way of reacting to treats! Have any of you tried this sneaky trick with your dog to see their reactions? Share your stories!

Couldn’t agree more with the love for Iams Dry Dog Food! We’ve been feeding it to our pug for a good 3 years now. The small kibble size is just right for his little mouth, and we’ve noticed his coat looks shinier too. One tip I learned along the way was introducing a new food gradually over several days by mixing it in with their old food, to help them adjust. This really helped when we first switched over. But as always, if you have concerns about your dog’s diet do check in with your vet.

Oh, so I’m not the only one experiencing the ‘Alpo Prime Cuts standoff’ with my pooch! My stubborn Shih Tzu, Daisy, literally did a sniff annd walk away routine when I first introduced Alpo Prime Cuts to her. Even enticed with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top (her favorite), she simply wasn’t having it. With the price being quite affordable compared to some other brands, I honestly had high hopes that this would become our new go-to. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyone else try any luck by mixing Alpo Prime Cuts with another brand? If so, what kind? Can’t help but wonder if there’s some kibble out there that might play nice with these prime cuts. Meanwhile, looking to find another nourishing yet budget-friendly substitute for Daisy. Suggestions welcomed!

Well, talk about all bark and no bite. Tried giving my Golden Retriever, Zeus, Alpo Prime Cuts Dry Dog Food, big mistake! It’s bulky chunks were a total turn off for Zeusy- he had trouble even chomping down on them. I ended up wasting more money than saving with this “affordable” choice, because we threw out half the bag.

Funny thing, though- the neighborhood raccoons loved it! So, if you’re really looking to adopt a racoon army… this could be your golden ticket. Serious tip: For the pickier eaters like my Zeus, try switching it up sometimes. Different flavors or switching between dry and wet food can do wonders.

Anyone else have a fussy Fido when it comes to kibble size? Or were you lucky with a pup that swallows everything whole like a vacuum cleaner?
