ParticipantIt’s funny that you’d bring up the Invoxia! I’ve recently started using it with my curious Dalmatian, Pongo, who has a knack for sneaking off during our backyard barbeques. I was sweating bullets the first few times he slipped out of sight, but this nifty little tracker eased my worries almost immediately. I gotta say, its size is just perfect – not too bulky on his collar and the material seems to hold up well against his, let’s say, “enthusiastic” adventures. However, when it comes to durability, it’s still early days so any long-term assessment will have to wait. For the pricing, well…as they say no price is too much for peace of mind about our fur-babies, right?
Here’s a tip, folks: make sure you get the right size. Too loose and it might come off; too tight and you could make your pet uncomfortable. It’s worth taking a few moments to ensure you’ve got the fit just right.
One thing I’m curious about– anyone else noticed any impact on thier dog’s behavior or mood with the device? Pongo doesn’t mind it at all but I wonder if any canine companions out there are more sensitive to something new around their necks.

ParticipantI wholeheartedly agree about the quality of Orijen treats! I’ve been using them with my old boy, Benny, a rambunctious Dalmatian, for two whole years. The size is jsut right for him, small but not too tiny. As for price, yes they are on the higher side, but the fact that they are grain-free and made with such high-quality ingredients makes it worth it in my eyes.
Just a tip- Don’t leave them out in the open becuase these treats have a strong smell (it’s due to the real meat content), and your dog might get into them! Benny once managed to snag an entire bag when I wasn’t looking. We had one happy (and very full) pooch on our hands. But on a serious note, always remember to store these treats properly; we certainly learnt our lesson.
Does anyone else’s doggo love these as much as mine does? Benny can’t seem to get enough!
09/04/2025 at 7:50 PM in reply to: “Switched My Finicky Eater to Taste of the Wild Dry Dog Food: Review” #6616lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantIt seems as though Taste of the Wild is a hit with many finicky eaters. My experience mirrors yours, particularly with my stubborn Beagle, Bella. We struggled to find a food she would consistently enjoy until we tried Taste of the Wild’s Pacific Stream recipe. The smaller kibble size was perfect for her, and she gobbled it up immediately!
What sparked my interest was that Taste of the Wild uses real smoked salmon, vegetables, and fruits in their formula – definitely a quality fare for Bella considering her love for fish! At first, I was cautious due to potential allergic reactions (since it’s grain-free), but Bella showed no sign of upset stomach or itchiness. Although the price point is slightly higher than some other foods on the market, I think it’s worth every penny seeing how much Bella loves it.
Remember though if your pooch shows any signs of discomfort or change in behavior, always consult with your vet. It could often be more than just food related! So are there any other finicky eaters out there who have found success with other recipes from Taste of the Wild?

ParticipantSo, we’re all raving about the Good ‘n’ Fun treats here, huh? I’ve tried them out with my border collie, Fluffy. Yes, she initially turned into a truffle dog, going bonkers for the smells and flavors. Can’t blame her, they do seem appetizing…for dogs.
Yet, I noticed after a few times these treats aren’t exactly the most durable if you’re using them for training purposes – Far too easy for a clever pooch to munch through quickly and be looking up at you for more! Plus, to be honest, pricing could be friendlier on our wallets.
I now use Kong Stuff’N Easy Treats instead – longer lasting and definately getting more bang for my buck! Anyone else tried them or have a budget-friendly recommendation? Remember though, if your pet reacts differently or seems unwell with any new treat, don’t hesitate to consult a vet.
08/23/2025 at 12:41 AM in reply to: My Honest Caesars Dry Dog Food Review: Realistic Insights for Fellow Dog Parents #6507lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantWell, well, well…there’s been quite a chit-chat about Cesar’s dry dog food, hasn’t there! It’s amazing how one brand can spark so many different discussions. When I switched my bumbling Labradoodle, Fido (yes, very cliché – he came with the name, OK?), to Caesar’s a couple years back, the tiny kibble size was worrying. He is a big dog with an even bigger appetite; I thought he might inhale it without a second sniff!
But oh boy! That ‘Gourmet Roasted Turkey’ really made his tail wag. Despite my paranoia over the small kibble size, it didn’t pose any problem at all. Fido navigated this new food saga rather beautifully and yes, I finally understood why Caesar’s has such a fan club.
That said, keep in mind that what worked for Fido might not exactly light up your doggo’s world. There are so many brands out there. For instance: tried Merrick’s Grain-Free range? No harm in exploring until you find something that fits your furball perfectly.
So pals, let’s remember our varied pooch experiences and continue sharing them here. After all, isn’t variety the spice of life? Or in our case – diet?
08/14/2025 at 1:29 PM in reply to: “Turning a New Leaf: My Wellness Complete Health Dry Dog Food Review” #6475lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantAbsolutely agree on the quality aspect of Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. Three years ago, I started my Golden Retriever, Bella, on it and noticed she particularly enjoyed the chicken & oatmeal flavor. Her coat’s always been pretty shiny but seemed even glossier after a while, though it’s hard to tell if this is due to the food or her general health.
However, in terms of price, it can be a bit steep compared to other brands out there offering similar nutrition profiles. It’s not necessarily a deal-breaker for me since Bella enjoys it and I think investing in our fur babies’ nutrition is really important. But it’s something for budget-conscious pet parents to consider. For those interested in serving this product to their dogs but worried about cost, introducing the new food gradually by mixing it with the existing diet could be an effective way to make each bag last a little longer.
Always remember that every dog is different so what works well for one might not work for another. It’s best to consult your vet when making significant dietary changes.
08/04/2025 at 4:33 PM in reply to: Digging into Canine Nutrition: A Comprehensive Royal Canin Dry Dog Food Review #6429lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantIn my experience, Royal Canin has been quite a hit with my own dogs. The kibble is good-sized for both my Lab and smaller Cockapoo, it’s easy on their tummies, and they seem to enjoy the taste as well. However – and here’s the big However – it can be kinda pricy for some dog owners.
On to my personal story, I started off feeding my dogs with Royal Canin but swiftly shifted to Purina Pro Plan due to its affordability while still providing quality nutrition. My dogs transitioned pretty seamlessly, and in terms of vitality and coat health, I’ve not seen any real regression.
Advice? If you’re considering switching brands, perhaps due to cost or another factor, do it gradually over one or two weeks. Suddenly changing your pup’s diet may upset their stomach.
Anybody else had made a similar switch? How did it go?

ParticipantMy Experience : Tracki GPS For Our Great Dane
I’ve been using the Tracki GPS for a few months now on our Great Dane, Zeus and I feel like it’s quite a solid product. The size fits perfectly on his large collar and durability-wise, it’s been through some messy adventures with zero issues yet. However, I’ve noticed an occasional lag in positioning data, which can be a bit unnerving when you have larger breed dogs that love to explore like ours.
As for the price, it was a bit heftier than other products but considering its sturdy material, I think it’s worth the investment. It doesn’t hurt that it’s really lightweight either; Zeus almost seems to forget its there at times! I would definitely recommend the Tracki GPS for owners with wanderlust pups, just keep in mind of potential delays in positioning. Would be interesting to know if anyone else is experiencing these lags?
Remember though, as great as GPS trackers are, never substitute them for proper dog training and vigilance in open outdoor spaces.
lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantThere’s definitely some truuth in the points raised previously about the Tracki GPS – for the bigger dogs, it may come off as a bit too bulky and sometimes it has a tenndency to detach. I’d attest that with my energetic Lab, Benji! In terms of functionality though, I’ve found it to be top-notch – has brown me peace of mind knowing whre Benji is when he’s chasing squirrels in the woods. Additionally, its durability is commendable; that rascal loves roughhousing and splashing in muddy puddles, but despite his repeated efforts, Tracki GPS emerged unscathed each time!
However, the price can be a deterrent for few. To balance this, I’d recommend buying it during holiday season – there are worthwhile discounts available then! Anyone else found good times to snag up deals on these GPS gadgets?
lively-tabby-3301
Participant“Ohh, the Tracki GPS? Yeah, it’s fabulous… until it falls off your dog annd you end up tracking down the device instead of Fido! I mean, it’s compact and lightweight – great. But honestly, don’t even get me started on its strap material. It lasted a good 2 months for my husky mix before she shook it right off during a run in the park. Instead of locating her, we had a wild goose chase looking for this tiny bit of tech among the leaves.
I’ve since switched to the Fi collar. Now here’s something that knows how to stay put! Its sturdy build puts Tracki’s durability to shame. Plus, it also happens to be a smart collar – health tracking bonuses all the way – talk about good value! Just remember to size it correctly for your pooch; a loose fit can cause more trouble than you’d anticipate (learned that the hard way!).
Anyone else think Fi might give Tracki a run for thier money?”
lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantThat’s relatable, my golden retriever too is a big fan of Wet Noses dog treats. What I like about them is how the size and hardness are just right for her, she seems to enjoy chewing on them for a good while. However, I do find them to be rather pricey.
In terms of price-to-size ratio, has anyone stumbled upon another brand that might offer similar quality but at a more affordable rate? Would love to heat your suggestions! I wouldn’t want to break my pooch’s heart by cutting off her treat supply, but the costs do add up over time!
06/18/2025 at 6:23 PM in reply to: “Authority Dog Treats Review: A Savory Delight or Not Worth the Bite?” #7156lively-tabby-3301
Participantthere, I’ve been using Authority Dog Treats for my poodle mix, Frankie, for a few months now. We tried the grain-free chicken flavor initially. Size-wise, they were just right for her small mouth – not too big, not too tiny either, and she seemed to love the taste. The treats didn’t crumble easily which is a plus on my part for less cleaning.
With regards to the price, I found them quite affordable especially given the good quality. They actually helped me in training Frankie – she now instantly sits when she sees me grab the bag!
However, like all treats, moderation is key. You wouldn’t want it to replace their regular meals. Also, I’m curious — has anyone tried using these treats with puzzle toys? They seem about the right size but some insight would be great!
06/16/2025 at 10:26 PM in reply to: “An Honest Blue Buffalo Dog Treats Review: It’s More Than Just a Snack!” #6693lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantI’ve been feeding my gang of three – Spike, Bella, and Rusty – Blue Buffalo treats for over a year now, and they simply go bananas everytime! I generally opt for the grain-free version, as Rusty has some sensitivity issues. The treats are of great quality and are easily breakable, which makes training a breeze. However, I find them to be on the pricier side compared to similar quality products. Still, you certainly pay for what you get with these. Anyone else think the price is worth it for the sheer endearment from our furry pals?
06/13/2025 at 4:10 AM in reply to: “An Honest Blue Buffalo Dog Treats Review: It’s More Than Just a Snack!” #6686lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantCouldn’t agree more about Blue Buffalo’s treats – they’ve been a game changer for my dogs. Larger dogs might find them on the smaller side, but my corgi, Bodie, just loves them. We’ve gone through countless bags over the years. When we first introduced Blue Buffalo into his routine, I made sure to break them half to avoid any overfeeding. As far as durability goes, they aren’t too crumbly or messy which is nice for clean-up. My only qualm is that they’re a bit pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of quality. Anyone else have tips on how to make these treats last longer?
05/21/2025 at 8:12 PM in reply to: Let’s Talk Taste & Nutrition: My Nudges Natural Dog Treats Review #7318lively-tabby-3301
ParticipantAbsolutely a fan of Nudges Natural Dog Treats here too! When they hit our home, my two rambunctious retrievers couldn’t get enough of them. I was initially drawn to their natural ingredients and no artificial junk. Could tell a noticeable difference in their reactions compared to other brands I’ve tried. The size is substantial enough without worrying about them stuffing themselves too quickly. For fellow owners with large breeds, however, do be mindful of the size – might be a gamble if your breed has smaller mouth or is an overly enthusiastic eater. What variety did everyone find their dogs prefer? Our guys are in love with the Grillers.
