jsut to add a bit more flavor to the Zuke’s conversation here, I’d say these treats have been a big hit with my Labradoodle Axel for thier size. They’re small and soft enough for him to eat quickly which makes them perfect during training sessions. The price can seem a bit steep compared to other brands on the shelf, but considering the high-quality ingredients and happy response from Axel, it justifies the cost in my opinion.

One nugget of advice I might offer is to introduce these treats gradually if your dog has a sensitive stomach. I learned this the hard way when Axel got a bit too enthusiastic about Zuke’s one day and ate more than usual, resulting in some unfortunate gastric distress. Best to consult with your veterinarian about transition methods if you’re concerned!

Anyone else noticed improved focus in their dogs during training with Zuke’s? If so, any specific flavors that seem more enticing for your pups?

Agree with the positive reviews here. Howl’s Kitchen Treats are a real hit with my Labradoodle, Sparky. I was initially worried about the size as Sparky isn’t a huge chewer, but they were just right—not too big annd not too small. Durability-wise, these treats last longer than other brands we’ve tried, and while they are slightly pricier, I find thier quality to make it worth the cost.

On a side note, has anyone tried using these treats for training? I’m considering it but am curious to hear your experiences before diving in: are they effective motivators? Any tips on how to best use them in this context?

I’ve been using Blue Buffalo’s grain-free treats for my aging Labrador, Sadie, for a while now and she can’t get enough of them! Their size is perfect for her – not too small but not overwhelmingly large either. Price-wise, while they are slightly on the higher end, I believe good quality shouldn’t be compromised. They’re decently durable too; Sadie’s an aggressive chewer and these treats tend to last her a bit longer than other brands we’ve tried before. Has anybody else noticed this with their fur buddies? I’d be interested to hear your stories. Just remember, as exciting as discovering new treats can be, always consult a vet before introducing anything drastically new into your pup’s diet!

Agreeing Wholeheartedly with the Praise for Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats

Body: Joining the chorus of praises here! As a fur parent to a feisty Pointer mix, I’ve noticed that these treats are outstandingly effective when it comes to training. Was initially taken aback by the size – they’re petit, but remember it’s the smell and taste that hooks our furry friends, not the size! Plus, smaller sizes mean less guilt when you reward more frequently.

A little micro-story – my dog, Rocket, was being quite stubborn with “stay” commands. With Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats in hand (or should I say in pouch?), his progress noticeably improved. He’s now a champ at ‘staying’, all while eagerly awaiting his tiny flavorful reward!

The only drawback? We seem to run out pretty fast! But considering their affordability and effectiveness, I think they’re well worth the restocks. If anyone has found a workable storage solution to make them last longer, do let us know in this thread. Or maybe it’s just time for me to start buying in bulk given Rocket’s newfound obedience. Does anyone else order these in batches?

An Alternative to Consider: The Magic of Zuke’s Mini Naturals

Body: I have to mention another great brand – Zuke’s! Their Mini Naturals have also been a hit in our house. My dog is mega picky but surprisingly, he gobbled up these chewy treats like there was no tomorrow. They seemed quite appealing in size as well – quite small (just like the Merrick’s treats), so you don’t feel like you’re overfeeding your fur baby during training. It’s interesting that even though they’re small, they still have a strong, meaty smell which dogs seem to adore! Moreover, they’re made with natural ingredients and come at a fair price tag.

While Merrick is definitely an excellent option, I thought it would be useful to share this for those who might be looking for alternatives or even variety. Anyone else tried these Zuke’s Mini Naturals? Or had their dogs react similarly with other irresistible treats?

Interesting to see so much positivity around Triumph Dog Treats. I, like many of you, have been using them for my rescue Lab-mix, Rocky, for a few months now. Amazingly enough, he seems to enjoy them just as much each time. The price point is also something to appreciate, given the quality of ingredients.

However, has anyone noticed the variation in size of treats from bag to bag? In our last pack, there seemed to be larger pieces compared to the previous ones. Rocky didn’t mind at all but I wonder if this is a normal thing or just a one-off?

Finally, I fully agree with the comments on how well dogs respond to these treats during training sessions! It’s been Rocky’s perfect reward for successfully learning new commands and tricks.

I’ve gotta toss my hat in the ring for Bocce Bakery treats too. Our Shih Tzu, Lily, usually turns her nose up at most other treats, but she goes absolutely nuts for these! The size is also a big plus – they’re not too small to be insignificant nor too large for smaller breeds like Lily. Plus, I feel the price point really hits the sweet spot considering the quality of ingredients used. Just one word of caution though – these treats are, quite understandably, very tempting for dogs so make sure you use them wisely in training and don’t overfeed!

I’ve had a generally positive experience with Triumph Dog Treats too. My Labrador, Missy, just loves ’em! They’re perfect in size for moderate treats and they seem to last quite a while in the pantry without going stale. I once used them for crate training; Missy would step inside her crate without creating any fuss just to get one of her favourite treats. The pricing seems fairly reasonable considering the quality and number of treats per bag. Just remember, though they seem healthier than some other brands out there, they should not replace a balanced diet. Always be mindful of how many you’re giving – opportunistic Labbies would gobble up the entire bag if given free rein! As always, if ever your dog responds negatively to a new food product, it’s best to consult your vet.

Merrick Treats – The Perfect Reward for Your Pooch

Body: I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with the quality of Merrick Dog Treats. I’ve been using them as a reward during our training sessions annd my Samoyed cannot get enough of them! They’re just the right size, small enough for quick rewards but substantial enough to be enticing. Plus, their composition is hardy enough not to quickly crumble in your pocket or training pouch.

In fact, I originally decided to try these out becuase my picky eater wasn’t too keen on his regular kibble anymore. The moment I introduced him to these treats, it’s like he found his favorite thing in the world. Now, meal times and training are something he looks forward to without fail.

For anybody still on the fence about trying them out due to price issues, do keep an eye out for discounts that regularly pop up at online and physical pet stores. It’s absolutely worth every penny!

Has anyone else had such positive experiences with these treats? How do they work with different breeds?

P.S., always consult your vet before making any major changes to your dog’s diet!

As a long-time dog owner, I have to agree that Canine Carry Outs are definitely worth the bark! But do be mindful of their size. If you have a pupper who’s prone to “inhaling” treats rather than chewing them, these might pose a choking hazard because of their moderate size. So I would recommend breaking them into smaller pieces before treating your speedy snackers.

One thing that stood out for me is their price point – quite affordable when compared to some other brands. Plus, my Boxer seems to love the meaty flavor. He does his happy little dance every time he hears the bag crinkle!

On the flip side, they’re not particularly hard or chewy, so they won’t keep your furry friend occupied for very long if you’re using them as distraction treats. Any opinions on what durable dog treat works best in such situations?

Remember, each dog has a different preference and what works for one may not work for another. Always consult with your vet if you have any health concerns about food or treats.

So, we’re all just gushing about Yummy Combs now, huh? Well, I can’t resist joining the gang! I’ve got a Saint Bernard who could probably gobble up my car if I added a bit of peanut butter on it. So, naturally, getting these ‘combs’ was like tossing crumbs to a giant. Sure, he seemed to dig ’em, but durability didn’t get a chance to shine with my monster pooch – they were history in mere seconds!

Anyone else face the same with larger breeds or do I just own Houdini reincarnated as a lovable, slobbering furball? Also, anyone trying to make them last longer for your dogs or have any tips for introducing worms on speed…I mean, dogs to slower treat eating habits?

Absolutely seconding the Whimzees appreciation train! I’ve had a similar journey with my terrier mix, Munchkin. A little on the smaller side he is, so finding a treat that’s just the right size was bit of a hugle! Turns out, Whimzees’ size selection is spot-on. they’re durable, don’t slips out of his tiny mouth, and literally a bang for your buck.

The only piece of advice? Start slow. If your little furball is new to these treats, introduce them gradually. We started off with one stick a day and then slowly increased the count.

Anyone else’s pooch have favorites from their varied shapes? Munch seems gaga over the alligator ones!

On Board with Merrick Treats – Size Matters!

I’ve been tossing Merrick treats to my Goldie, Marley, for about a year now and he’s absolutely bonkers for them. There’s no denying the top-notch quality and the price point is pretty decent too, but one thing I’ve noticed over time: size matters! Some treats are bigger than others, and Marley tends to choke on these larger chunks. My advice? Break ’em up into smaller pieces before giving them to your dog. It might just save you a choking scare down the line. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience? Always best to observe their treat-eating behaviour, right?

Post title: A Fan of Merrick Treats Here, with a question

Couldn’t agree more about Merrick dog treats! We’ve been using them for our beloved Golden Retriever, Sparky, and he absolitely adores them. I’ve noticed that unlike some other treats we used previously, the size of the Merrick treats is perfect for him – big enough to feel substantial without being too large for his mouth.

As an owner who tries to prioritize wholesome ingredients for my pet, what really impresses me is the fact that they are grain-free and have no artificial colors or flavors. Plus, Sparky’s coat looks ever so shiny recently – although I can’t definitively attribute it to these treats with certainty, there seems to be a correlation!

However, I’m curious if anyone other than Rocky’s parent has tried the different flavor options? We’ve only used the Texas Beef flavor and Sparky gobbles it right up. Are there any other favorites that your dogs seem particularly drawn to?

Speaking from my own experince, Merrick treats certainly rank higher in taste preference among my basketful of diverse breeds. We’ve a GSD, a miniature Schnauzer and an adopted mixed breed; all of them cherish these treats immensely. Most particularly is Junior, the mutt, who isn’t known to sit still for much – suddenly turns super obedient when Merrick is in question! The size is perfect and it’s easy on the budget too which is a huge plus. But over the years I’ve realized that not every treat works for every dog out there and it’s always best to consider your doggo’s taste & dietary needs first before shotgunning a new brand. For everyone wrangling picky eaters or the heavy chewers, how has your experience been with tougher treats? Like bully sticks maybe?
