  • Absolutely agree with you there, the “Bear and The Rat” treats are a hit in our home too. I’ve got 13 years of pup parenting behind me and these treats have proved to be some of the most popular amongst my crew. Starting from their size, they’re just right for both my larger retriever, Ben and the new dachshund pups.

I really appreciate that they’re not tough or tuggy, makes it easier on their teeth and jaws. And you don’t find pieces everywhere which is a plus! Also worth applauding is their pricing – in light of the quality ingredients used and knowing they prioritize safety & health, it feels fair.

Quick tip for other owners out there – try using these treats as training rewards. My fussy eater, Bella has been pulling all her tricks trying to earn more.

Curious though, anyone else tried their cooling yoghurt variety yet? Always looking for ways to help my pals beat the summer heat!

Got a chuckle from the Ruby and Charlie tales! Jasper, my rambunctious Boxer, also met Alpo Prime Cuts with a less than enthusiastic reception. But, oddly enough, he enjoyed it more when I reduced its quantity and mixed it with wet dog food. Maybe the texture or the combo of flavors did the trick? Has anyone else experimented this way with dry food? Also, I can’t help but wonder if Alpo has any plans for variation in kibble size; might be more enticing for our furry pals!
