Just a quick question for those who’ve been using the SpotOn GPS Fence for a while – have you encountered any issues with accuracy or consistency? I’ve read all about its conveniences, annd particularly impressed with the fact that it doesn’t require any physical installation like traditional fences do. But my prime concern would be ensure its reliability as I often take my hyperactive Golden Retriever on hikes and I’d absolutely hate if she strays away due to an instability in GPS signals. Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s well into their usage of the product!

While I think Triumph Dog Treats are fine, I’ve had a particularly good experience transitioning my hyperactive Dalmatian, Pepper, to Blue Buffalo’s Wilderness Trail Treats. They’ve got a size and ingredient composition that works very well for her—enough to keep her chewing but not too long that she gets bored or tired. Quality-wise, they’re comparable if not better than Triumph which was reflected in the slightly elevated price tag. If you have a larger breed like I do, swapping over might be worth contemplating. However, it ultimately hinges on your dog’s preferences!

Seems like these Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats are a real crowd pleaser, and count me in as a fan. I use ’em for both my Lab and my tenacious little Jack Russell. They’re perfect sized for rewards during training sessions. Plus, I tend to balk at dog treat prices – but these? Pretty wallet-friendly, if you ask me.

Now, this is key though – don’t go overboard with the treats. Remember, too many treats can add unnecessary calories to your pup’s diet! For anyone else trying them out, pace yourselves. Make the bag last, make every reward moment count. That way, it stays a novelty item your dogs will work hard to earn.

Last bit of advice- mixing it up with other reinforcement like praise and toys alongside treats works wonders too! Anybody else here uses multiple types of positive reinforcement for their furballs?

Couldn’t agree more with all of you, Bocce Bakery treats are an absolute hit in our household too! Our french bulldog, Bruce, normally isn’t motivated by treats during training, but oh boy, he’ll sit, stay or roll over immediately for a Bocce biscuit. The size is just perfect and they seem durable enough not to crumble during handling.

And while I appreciate they may be a bit pricier than some other brands out there, I consider it a worthy investment considering the quality ingredients and obvious enjoyment Bruce gets from them. Best advice? If your pup is a first-timer with Bocce, maybe start out with a small pack to gauge their reaction. But if my experience counts for anything – brace yourselves for those puppy dog eyes begging for more!

Out of curiosity, has anyone else found a treat their furbaby loves as much as these? Always good to have options!

I’ve been using Merrick treats for my Jack Russell, Rocky, for a few weeks now. I agree with you on the overall taste preference; Rocky goes crazy every time he hears me open the bag. But I’m curious about the size of these treats. Since Rocky is on the smaller side, it seems like these treats are a bit too large for him, and I often end up breaking them in half. Has anyone else found these treats to be slightly oversized for small breeds? Or are there perhaps smaller-sized options from Merrick that I might be missing? It’d be far more convenient if they came in suitable portions.

I gotta tell you, Jiobit has been an absolute lifesaver for us with our mischievous collie, Duke. The device is impressively durable – Duke is quite the adventurer and it’s stood up to all his romping around in the great outdoors. Also, while some might be put off by the price, I genuinely believe the peace of mind Jiobit gives you is worth every penny. For those of you with super active dogs like mine, could there be any other accessories or tricks you use that can help to track or contain their energy levels? Let’s share our wisdom and lend a hand to the fellow dog parents out there!

I’ve been using Merrick treats for my pair of Border Collies. They’ve always been quick eaters, but they chew these treats a bit more, which I think is helping with their dental health. The price point is also pretty reasonable considering the quality. However, I was wondering if anyone has experienced their dogs get a bit gassy after consuming these treats? Not that it’s a big problem or anything, I’m just trying to connect the dots as to whether it might be because of the treats. If anyone else has observed this, please do share your experiences. As for any health concerns, best to consult a vet.

Sizing and Durability of Tractive GPS Tracker?

I’ve been looking into getting a Tractive GPS tracker for my German Shepherd, Bella. I’m hearing mixed feedback about the size of the device. For those who have used Tractive with larger dogs, has its size caused any discomfort or inconvenience? Also, how’s the overall durability? Bella loves to play rough in the backyard and I don’t want it to easily break. All feedback appreciated!

I found Freshpet dry food to be pretty decent as well. However, I noticed the kibble size was a bit too large for my Corgi so had to switch it up and give it to my larger Labrador instead who didn’t seem to have an issue. Did anyone else face this issue or am I the only one? If Freshpet came with a smaller sized option, I’d be all over it in a heartbeat.

Agreed with the sentiments here for Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I transitioned my 5-year old Boxer, Otto, who used to be such a picky eater but he devoured it right away! It’s pricier compared to some brands, but for high quality ingredients which Otto adores, i think it’s worth it. Although, for those on a tighter budget, you might want to consider the size and cost per serving before making a swap. The kibble pieces are small perfect for even smaller breeds. Also love their commitment to sustainable fishing and farming practices. For anyone considering a switch, maybe introduce it gradually? Like mix some in with their regular food initially. Always works for us when we’re trying new foods! Anybody else tried this tactic?

I’ll add my two cents here too, as an owner of two energetic Dobermans. They’ve been on Wag dry dog food for over a year now and seem to really enjoy the taste. The size of the kibble is just right for them, and it keeps their coats looking shiny which is a plus. But the best part is that it’s quite affordable compared to other brands without any compromise on nutrition. Just be sure to introduce it slowly into their diet to avoid upsetting their tummies. Always consult a vet if you see any sudden changes in your dogs health after changing his/her food or any other product!

Just took a trip down memory lane reading y’alls posts about Wag dry dog food. I remember it being a leg-saver for my laborador, Toby. The dang thing wouldn’t eat anything but wag for a solid six months, can you beleive it? he even refused to touch his beloved peanut butter-filled Kong toy if there wasn’t some Wag mixed in. Any of you ever have that with your dogs? Also curious, has anyone tried transitioning their furbabies from Wag to another brand successfully? Thinking it might be high-time Toby expands his culinary horizons—fingers crossed he doesn’t turn his nose up at the newcomer!

Hah, Wag dry dog food huh! Been down that road, my friend. My Rufus is a golden retriever with a king-size appetite and an equally large heart. When I first got him on Wag, he loved the kibble size and gobbled it down in no time. The price point was just right for my budget too.

However, I found that bags weren’t as durable as I’d like. A slight puncture had those little nuggets rolling all over the floor. Ever tried cleaning up dog food from under your furniture? Not a fun way to spend Saturday afternoon.

Don’t get me wrong, Wag is not bad per se. As an alternative though, you might consider Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula. Same price range, but their bags are super sturdy and Rufus seems to love their Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe just as well.

Anyone else switched from Wag to another brand? Would love to hear more experiences!

I’ve always been a fan of Heart to Tail dog treats for my Golden Retriever, Sandy. Given her size, the treats are perfect—not too small, not too large—and she absolutely adores them! The price is also quite reasonable considering they’re all-natural. Once I left a treat out, and when I came back home, I found it where I left it—durable indeed!

In my opinion, introducing these treats gradually is the best approach if your dog is new to natural ingredients. That’s what worked for us. tho, if you notice any significant changes in your pet’s behavior or health condition after switching, do consider consulting a vet—it could be an allergy that you’re not aware of.

Has anyone tried Heart to Tail’s other flavors? Sandy loves the peanut butter & honey ones, and I am thinking about trying the chicken flavor next.

Just chiming in here, as well. I’ve been using Minties for my Bulldog, Buster, for a few months now. He’s quite picky with treats, but these he devours, and they seem to be helping him maintain his dental health too. Plus the size is perfect for him – not too small to swallow whole and not too big for his mouth either. A little tip though – make sure you store them properly or they tend to lose their freshness after a while. I keep them sealed in the original packet inside an airtight container and that’s worked great so far! Any one else had experience with other flavors? We’re just dabbling with the peppermint right now.
