ParticipantQuestion: Has anyone tried the Pawfit 3 on a smaller breed like a Jack Russel or Boston Terrier? I have two little furballs at home, Socks and Nugget. While I applaud the feature-packed functionality and durable material that you guys are praising, I’m curious about the device’s size for petite pooches. Can it be adjusted small enough without slipping or becoming too tight? Any insight would be much appreciated!

ParticipantOh, I can’t tell you how much my Labrador, Rusty, loves his Pawfit 3! The size is perfect for him – not too big or small and the quality of the material is top-notch; it’s really durable. I was worried that he might find it uncomfortable or chew on it, turns out he barely notices it’s there, even during our frisbee rounds. In terms of price, yes, it’s not the cheapest out there but you get what you pay for: longevity and style in one product. Just a heads up though – make sure to regularly clean the band especially if your dog loves outdoor adventures as much as Rusty does! Dirt might accumulate and could potentially irritate their skin over time (though we haven’t had this issue yet). Worth every penny in my opinion!

ParticipantI couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on the Halo Collar 3. As a tech-savvy dog owner, I certainly appreciated its innovative concepts, but like you, found myself disappointed in certain aspects. It was a positive surprise how lightweight it was, especially considering the robust materials used in the make. However, I’ve found durability to be a significant issue, my active Labrador managed to put some serious scratches on it within weeks.
The price point is another sore spot – for something promised to be top-tier, it feels a bit steep especially given these drawbacks. My personal story revolves around my dog Oscar. One day while out walking Oscar took off chasing a squirrel and the Halo didn’t react as quickly as I would have liked. Even with updated settings and conscious use of the training features, reliability remains my primary concern.
My advice to current users struggling is to start with introducing the collar to your pet gradually, in an environment they are comfortable with. Allow them time to get used to it before going on more adventurous outings, this might help both you and your dog feel more secure.
And there’s always the question of whether a simpler option may do just as well or better? Anyone have experiences with traditional GPS collars that might match up or even surpass this high-tech version in reliability?
On a final note – if your dog is experiencing any irritation from new equipment, like rubbing or discomfort – always best to consult with your vet! Comfort first!

ParticipantAbsolutely agree, the Link My Pet GPS Collar is one of those “high-tech gizmos” that ultimately brings peace of mind for dog owners. I’ve had mine on my Lab, Bruno, for about a year now and it barely shows any signs of wear and tear – solid material! Plus, the size is perfect and doesn’t cause any discomfort despite Bruno’s continuous play in the yard. Price-wise it might seem steep initially, but trust me, it’s worth every penny when your four-legged friend has a penchant for explorations.
Quick tip though: make sure to calibrate the GPS properly during setup and check regularly – it’ll save you some panic-induced hustle later. Anyone else had experiences where their pup managed to give them a good scare due to a false alarm?

ParticipantHaha, “decent” is putting it lightly! Those Orijen treats are my pup’s kryptonite. He’ll do anything for one of those bite-sized gourmet snacks. Of course, I’m thankful they’re freeze-dried and conveniently small so we can sneak in training anywhere, anytime. The price though… I mean, let’s not even mention it. How about durability? Anyone else find that these treats tend to crumble pretty easily too?
Ever tried to distract your dog with one on a frantic squirrel-chasing adventure, only to end up with a handful of treat crumbs? Or Is it just my clumsy hands and equally clumsy pooch?

ParticipantIt’s great to hear that most folks are having an excellent experience with Milk-Bone. However, personally speaking and coming from a perspective of a dog owner with nine years under the belt, these treats didn’t exactly live up to my expectation. I have a medium-sized yellow lab named Barley, who is honestly not picky at all about his treats, but when it came to the Milk-Bones, he simply ignored them! Tough to say whether he didn’t prefer the taste or texture; it’s still a mystery. I’m sure they’re fine for many dogs out there, but in Barley’s case, I’ve since switched to using Zuke’s Mini Naturals Dog Treats which he absolutely loves.
By the way, this isn’t meant to knock Milk-Bones; every dog has their unique preferences. And as always if you notice any sudden change in your dog’s eating habits or have concerns, it’s best totake them to the vet. Has anyone else had experiences where their dogs didn’t take a liking to certain popular treats?

ParticipantTotally agree with your insights on Nature’s Promise Dry Dog Food! I have a picky Shih Tzu, Daisy, who has turned her nose up at countless other brands we’ve tried. The braeeds-specific kibble size from Nature’s Promise really helped with her eating habit. Not sure if the unique shape was more appealing or if it was easier for her to chew – but either way, she loved it!
For other small breed owners out there – don’t rule out trying different kibble sizes. It sounds trivial but that could be the game-changer!
Question though – Biscuit being a Lab, do you find the portions sufficient for larger breeds? No doubt about taste and quality, but I’m curious if the serving guidelines hold up for big dogs too.

Participanteveryone, thought I’d throw in my two cents about this Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. While it’s indeed a good quality product, I found that my Bull Terrier wasn’t too fond of the taste. Tried a few times to mix it in with other meals, but Tina just wasn’t having it!
I switched to “Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula” instead which she seemed to like alot more. However, it didn’t bother me so much since all dogs have thier own personal preferences when it comes to food. Always make sure you’re paying attention to your dog’s individual reactions and watch if they’re enjoying their meals.
Remember folks, what suits one dog might not work for another. Always keep an eye out on how your pup reacts to any new food, and consult with your vet if anyone has serious concerns about diet or health! And just out of curiosity, has anyone else experienced the same with Wellness Complete food or is it just my picky Tina?

ParticipantAbsolutely echoing the Milk-Bone praise here too! My rough-and-tumble Boxer, Rocky, is a big fan of these treats. I got him as a rescue and it was tough to fin something he’d actually be intersted in. Anytime he hears that telltale clinking sound of the Milk-Bones in thier box, boy does he come barreling down the hallway ready for one!
The size is also perfect for his big ol’ jaw – not too small that he’d swallow whole, but not overly large either. Truely an all-rounder treat. Anyone else have success using these for training rewards? My Rocky doesn’t have all his commands down pat jsut yet!
Remember, while we all love spoiling our furry friends with treats, balance is key! Always monitor your dog’s diet and consult your vet if you are uncertain about any major changes to their food/treat consumption.

ParticipantA Bit Torn on the FitBark GPS
Hey everyone, I’ve been using the FitBark GPS for about a year now with my Great Dane. Absolutely love the peace of mind it offers, especially given his knack for disappearing into thin air at times! However, I’ve noticed that the durability isn’t super impressive. Ours has got a few scratches and dents from our dog’s outdoor adventures. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips for maintaining it or is it just part of the package considering it’s supposed to stand up to rough and tumble canine life?
dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantI’ve gotta toss my hat in the ring here and say Charlee Bear treats are much appreciated by my lab mix, Benny too. Good thing about ’em is their bite-size style which comes in handy during training sessions. Price point isn’t bad either considering the quality and quantity you’re getting. The first time I got them for Benny, you should’ve seen his tail waggle—boy was he thrilled! Their size also makes them an incredible option for hiding in toys and turning treat time into a kind of hunting game for him. Always remember though, no matter how good these treats might seem, they’re not a substitute for a balanced diet or regular meals so be mindful of that gang!
07/22/2025 at 1:54 AM in reply to: Are Trader Joe’s dog treats as good as they seem? My honest review. #6882dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantAbsolutely agreed with the majority here. I’ve been indulging my Golden Retriever, Bella, with Trader Joe’s dog treats for quite a while now and she can’t seem to get enough of them! What I love about these treats specifically is their perfect bite-size; they’re just big enough for a satisfying crunch but small enough not to spoil her dinner.
And for anyone worrying about value for money? Trust me when i say, they’re very affordable and frequently in stock too – an added bonus if your pooch loves them as much as Bella does. Definitely, they are worth giving a shot.
Has any other owner tried the Peanut Butter flavored ones? Bella is hooked on them but I’m curious how other dogs like the flavor.

ParticipantWhile I do appreciate Wet Noses dog treats and their hard-to-ignore nutritional value, I’ve had more luck with the Happy Howie’s dog treats when it comes to my boxer mix. She’s picky as they come and yet she chows down on those Happy Howie’s like no tomorrow. Sure, they’re not as hyped up or fancy-smancy, but they’re all-natural and much easier on the wallet. Just putting that out there for those who might still be exploring other options. And of course, always check with a vet if you’ve got a doggie with specific dietary needs!

ParticipantSubject: Re: Tracki GPS Review: How “Great Dane-friendly” Is It, Really?
Aye, I’ve been using the Tracki GPS for a couple of months on my Lab and it’s pretty nifty. But how do you guys reckon this fella would fit on, say, a breed as big as Great Dane? My friend’s been toying with the idea for her big guy, but she’s worried it might be too small or uncomfortable.
My personal experience shows it holds up rather well in terms of durability and tracking accuracy, not to mention the cost ain’t that bad. Just wondering- is there anyone out there who has tried this on an enormous dog like a Dane or a Newfoundland? How’d it go? Any tips for fitting it comfortably? Cheers!
06/27/2025 at 7:06 AM in reply to: “Authority Dog Treats Review: A Savory Delight or Not Worth the Bite?” #7164dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantSo, you wanna know about Authority Dog Treats? I’ve been using them with my feisty Beagle, Roscoe, for a few years now. He goes absolutely bonkers for them, making training exercises a breeze. They’re the right size to not overfeed him and appear pretty durable – haven’t noticed any crumble or squash issues during our jaunts. Price-wise, they won’t leave you eating ramen for a month either. My only beef (pun intended) is that some flavors seem to have relatively high salt content. Roscoe’s thirst definitely increases afterward, so make sure fresh water is available if you’re using these treats. Just my two cents…anyone else noticed the same thing or is it just my salty dog?
