ParticipantHaha, “decent” is putting it lightly! Those Orijen treats are my pup’s kryptonite. He’ll do anything for one of those bite-sized gourmet snacks. Of course, I’m thankful they’re freeze-dried and conveniently small so we can sneak in training anywhere, anytime. The price though… I mean, let’s not even mention it. How about durability? Anyone else find that these treats tend to crumble pretty easily too?
Ever tried to distract your dog with one on a frantic squirrel-chasing adventure, only to end up with a handful of treat crumbs? Or Is it just my clumsy hands and equally clumsy pooch?
08/18/2025 at 10:21 PM in reply to: My Personal Milk-Bone Dog Treats Review: A Tale of Satisfaction and Tail-Wagging #6728dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantIt’s great to hear that most folks are having an excellent experience with Milk-Bone. However, personally speaking and coming from a perspective of a dog owner with nine years under the belt, these treats didn’t exactly live up to my expectation. I have a medium-sized yellow lab named Barley, who is honestly not picky at all about his treats, but when it came to the Milk-Bones, he simply ignored them! Tough to say whether he didn’t prefer the taste or texture; it’s still a mystery. I’m sure they’re fine for many dogs out there, but in Barley’s case, I’ve since switched to using Zuke’s Mini Naturals Dog Treats which he absolutely loves.
By the way, this isn’t meant to knock Milk-Bones; every dog has their unique preferences. And as always if you notice any sudden change in your dog’s eating habits or have concerns, it’s best totake them to the vet. Has anyone else had experiences where their dogs didn’t take a liking to certain popular treats?

ParticipantTotally agree with your insights on Nature’s Promise Dry Dog Food! I have a picky Shih Tzu, Daisy, who has turned her nose up at countless other brands we’ve tried. The braeeds-specific kibble size from Nature’s Promise really helped with her eating habit. Not sure if the unique shape was more appealing or if it was easier for her to chew – but either way, she loved it!
For other small breed owners out there – don’t rule out trying different kibble sizes. It sounds trivial but that could be the game-changer!
Question though – Biscuit being a Lab, do you find the portions sufficient for larger breeds? No doubt about taste and quality, but I’m curious if the serving guidelines hold up for big dogs too.

Participanteveryone, thought I’d throw in my two cents about this Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. While it’s indeed a good quality product, I found that my Bull Terrier wasn’t too fond of the taste. Tried a few times to mix it in with other meals, but Tina just wasn’t having it!
I switched to “Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula” instead which she seemed to like alot more. However, it didn’t bother me so much since all dogs have thier own personal preferences when it comes to food. Always make sure you’re paying attention to your dog’s individual reactions and watch if they’re enjoying their meals.
Remember folks, what suits one dog might not work for another. Always keep an eye out on how your pup reacts to any new food, and consult with your vet if anyone has serious concerns about diet or health! And just out of curiosity, has anyone else experienced the same with Wellness Complete food or is it just my picky Tina?

ParticipantAbsolutely echoing the Milk-Bone praise here too! My rough-and-tumble Boxer, Rocky, is a big fan of these treats. I got him as a rescue and it was tough to fin something he’d actually be intersted in. Anytime he hears that telltale clinking sound of the Milk-Bones in thier box, boy does he come barreling down the hallway ready for one!
The size is also perfect for his big ol’ jaw – not too small that he’d swallow whole, but not overly large either. Truely an all-rounder treat. Anyone else have success using these for training rewards? My Rocky doesn’t have all his commands down pat jsut yet!
Remember, while we all love spoiling our furry friends with treats, balance is key! Always monitor your dog’s diet and consult your vet if you are uncertain about any major changes to their food/treat consumption.

ParticipantI’ve gotta toss my hat in the ring here and say Charlee Bear treats are much appreciated by my lab mix, Benny too. Good thing about ’em is their bite-size style which comes in handy during training sessions. Price point isn’t bad either considering the quality and quantity you’re getting. The first time I got them for Benny, you should’ve seen his tail waggle—boy was he thrilled! Their size also makes them an incredible option for hiding in toys and turning treat time into a kind of hunting game for him. Always remember though, no matter how good these treats might seem, they’re not a substitute for a balanced diet or regular meals so be mindful of that gang!
07/22/2025 at 1:54 AM in reply to: Are Trader Joe’s dog treats as good as they seem? My honest review. #6882dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantAbsolutely agreed with the majority here. I’ve been indulging my Golden Retriever, Bella, with Trader Joe’s dog treats for quite a while now and she can’t seem to get enough of them! What I love about these treats specifically is their perfect bite-size; they’re just big enough for a satisfying crunch but small enough not to spoil her dinner.
And for anyone worrying about value for money? Trust me when i say, they’re very affordable and frequently in stock too – an added bonus if your pooch loves them as much as Bella does. Definitely, they are worth giving a shot.
Has any other owner tried the Peanut Butter flavored ones? Bella is hooked on them but I’m curious how other dogs like the flavor.

ParticipantWhile I do appreciate Wet Noses dog treats and their hard-to-ignore nutritional value, I’ve had more luck with the Happy Howie’s dog treats when it comes to my boxer mix. She’s picky as they come and yet she chows down on those Happy Howie’s like no tomorrow. Sure, they’re not as hyped up or fancy-smancy, but they’re all-natural and much easier on the wallet. Just putting that out there for those who might still be exploring other options. And of course, always check with a vet if you’ve got a doggie with specific dietary needs!
06/27/2025 at 7:06 AM in reply to: “Authority Dog Treats Review: A Savory Delight or Not Worth the Bite?” #7164dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantSo, you wanna know about Authority Dog Treats? I’ve been using them with my feisty Beagle, Roscoe, for a few years now. He goes absolutely bonkers for them, making training exercises a breeze. They’re the right size to not overfeed him and appear pretty durable – haven’t noticed any crumble or squash issues during our jaunts. Price-wise, they won’t leave you eating ramen for a month either. My only beef (pun intended) is that some flavors seem to have relatively high salt content. Roscoe’s thirst definitely increases afterward, so make sure fresh water is available if you’re using these treats. Just my two cents…anyone else noticed the same thing or is it just my salty dog?
06/21/2025 at 2:16 PM in reply to: “Authority Dog Treats Review: A Savory Delight or Not Worth the Bite?” #7161dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantWell, here’s an alternative for you dog treat shoppers. I’ve been using Zesty Paws Calming Bites for my energetic Beagle, Daisy, and they’ve been terrific; not just flavorful but also helpful in taming her bouncing around, especially when we have guests. She loves the turkey flavor! It’s a tad pricier than Authority but seems to last longer because the treats are fairly sizable. Worth considering if your dog is high-energy like mine. Remember, though guys, it’s always worth asking your vet before switching treats or food brands; every pooch is unique after all! Anyone else tried these with their pup?
06/21/2025 at 6:21 AM in reply to: My Personal Wellness Dog Treats Review: A Nutritional Feast for my Pooch #6919dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantWell, you can’t bat a hundred all the time! My terrier, Moxie, loved Wellness Treats too – till the size was too big for his liking. The flavors though are tempting enough, go figure! How ’bout trying out smaller treats if your dog isn’t a fan of large-sized ones? Even Wellness has some smaller variety I believe. Not disagreeing about them being a bit pricey though. I’m intrigued by Tiny Treats from Natural Balance that you’ve mentioned, are they reasonably priced comparing to Wellness? And how’s the flavor variety?
06/21/2025 at 5:37 AM in reply to: “Transitioning to Zuke’s Dog Treats: A Comprehensive Review” #6700dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantI’ve been using Zuke’s Dog Treats with my Labradoodle, Bingo, for about 6 months now and honestly, they’re pretty decent. Good size for training, not too crunchy or soft, and they seem to last quite a while. Plus, Bingo really seems to like the chicken flavor! The price point is a bit steep but I think its worth it for the quality of ingredients.
My only issue (and this is more of an observation) is that some of the larger pieces can be hard for smaller breeds or older dogs with dental issues to chew. Always monitor your dog when they’re eating any kind of treat to prevent choking risks!
As an alternative, we sometimes use Blue Buffalo’s mini bars/biscuits. They have similar natural ingredient profiles but the hardness varies so you can find one that fits your pup’s specific needs (we rotate between the two based on what’s on sale).
Anyone else playing around with their training treat sizes or mixes like we are? Curious if this affects training consistency/results in any noticeable way.
Remember, always consult with your vet before making any major diet changes for your dog!
06/19/2025 at 12:34 AM in reply to: My Personal Wellness Dog Treats Review: A Nutritional Feast for my Pooch #6916dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantI’m always on the hunt for healthy, tasty treats for my pooch, Bella, and Wellness treats didn’t disappoint. We tried the lamb and apple recipe. She’s a Labradoodle with quite the appetite, but these are small enough that I didn’t worry about over-feeding her. Plus they are surprisingly sturdy for their size. No mess to clean up, even when she nibbles at them! Price-wise it’s comparable to other quality treats – you pay a bit more for what is obviously a quality product.
For any owners out there just getting started with Wellness bites like we were, I’d recommend starting with one of their fruit & protein combos. It has worked wonderfully for Bella who now sits patiently waiting anytime she spies the packet! Definitely worth a try if you’re looking to change your dog’s treat game! Remember though, it really depends on your pupper’s preferences and dietary needs, so maybe check with your vet if unsure. Anyone else’s pups have a favorite flavor?
06/04/2025 at 1:33 PM in reply to: In-depth Canine Carry Outs Dog Treats Review: Worth the Bark or Not? #7042dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantTotally in agreement here guys, Canine Carry Outs has been a staple in our snack cabinet for the past 2 years. I’ve got a sprightly little Basset Hound, Lizzy, and she loves ’em down to the last crunch! I appreciate how the treats are perfectly sized for rewards during training session; not too big but packed full with flavor. Plus, their durability means they’ve had no problem staying fresh till the end of each bag. Price-wise, they don’t put a dent in my wallet which is always a plus. 😆
One piece of advice – do introduce these treats slowly if your pooch is shifting from another brand. Lizzy had slight tummy issues initially but eased into it over time, tho if persistent issues arise please seek advice from your vet. So, what have your pups done to earn their latest Carry Out treat?
05/25/2025 at 11:46 AM in reply to: “Unleashing My Thoughts: A Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats Review” #7330dreamy-shepherd-2879
ParticipantMy Two Cents on Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats
Body: I’ve been using these scrumptious bites with my mischievous Pomeranian, Fluffy, for the past six months and I’m quite sold! The little bags these treats come in are super easy to cart around during our walks and mini training sessions. Also, the size of the treats? Ideal. You don’t have to worry about overfeeding your canine companion. My only teensy qualm? They tend to crumble easily so you might have a bit of clean-up if they’re hustled too much in your bag. But still, a thumbs-up from Fluffy and me for Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats. Have any other pup owners noticed the crumbling issue or it’s just a me-thing?
