It’s wonderful to hear so many success stories with Taste of the Wild! I have a Golden Retriever, Jake, who used to be a rather picky eater until we made the switch. One thing I noticed – and maybe you’ve found this too – was that this food seemed to significantly reduce his usual ‘doggy’ breath.

For those who’ve been feeding your dogs this for some time though, how’s the portion size working for you? I ask as Jake is quite a large dog, and sometimes I worry if he’s getting enough or perhaps too much. We always followed the instructions on the bag, but every dog is different after all! Is there any particular feeding regimen you’ve found to work well? Always eager to learn more about my fur buddy’s needs!

Absolutely agree with the Zuke’s praise here. My senior beagle, Charlie, has been happily munching on Zuke’s Mini Naturals for a few years now. I was initially impressed with the size – they’re perfect for small to medium dogs annd fantastic for training. Price-wise, they are more on the high end side, but in my opinion, it’s money well spent considering the quality.

A bit of anecdote here, Charlie once managed to get his paws on the bag (my mistake for leaving it low!) and well let’s just say he showed no self-restraint! He was totally fine but we had to cut back on dinner that night to balance it out. Remember not to overfeed folks, no matter how much your pup loves them! Any concerns consult your vet as always.

I’d encourage you to try Zuke’s if you haven’t already; they seem like a hit with most dogs in this thread! Has anyone had any luck using them with dogs who are particularly picky eaters?

Can’t agree more with the love for Wellness dog treats here! I’ve been doling them out to my hound, Benny, and he goes bonkers every single time. They’re just perfect sized for him despite his big jaws. Plus, they do seem pretty durable as I’ve never seen any crumble or break unlike some other brands out there in the market. Can’t say much about the pricing since it all boils down to quality for me and these sure are a hit. Interestingly though, I introduced these treats to Benny while training him – always rewarding him with one after a good ‘sit’ or ‘fetch’. Just curious, anyone else used these as a part of training regime too?

all, I can vouch for Zuke’s. I’ve been treating my boy Butch with Zuke’s Mini Naturals for around two years now and he’s just as excited about them today as he was the first time! One thing to mention though, they are on the pricier side compared to some other treats on the market. I believe it’s due to their high-quality ingredients and lack of fillers which, in my book, is totally worth it! Also, if you’ve got a smaller dog like my Butch, these are perfect because they’re small enough for him to chew easily. For those looking for an alternative keep an eye on Wellness Soft Puppy Bites, they’ve been a decent back-up for us when the local pet store runs out of Zuke’s. Has anyone else tried any other Zuke’s varieties? Would love to know your experiences!

I’ve been using Wellness dog treats for my good ol’ Boxer, Max, for a couple of years now and I’m sold on thir quality. I’ll admit, they’re a bit more pricy than some snacks but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Max looks forward to his training time because these delights are his reward! Plus chunks aren’t too big – perfect for his medium-sized mouth. As an alternative, Merrick’s Kitchen Bites have also crossed our path and were loved by Max. Both of these brands have given us great experiences so far! For anyone with health concerns, it always pays to consult your vet first though.

I’ve been using Authority Dog Treats for my corgi, Poppy, for a while now. She loves the taste and I can testify that these treats are quite durable and nicely sized! Used to have a hard time getting her attention during training sessions, but these treats worked like a charm, they’re irresistible to her. Besides, their price isn’t too shabby either. However, every dog’s taste can be unique so it wouldn’t hurt to try out different brands too! after all, diversity is the spice of life, right?

Personal Experience with Authority Dog Treats

In my experience, Authority Dog Treats have been a hit and miss with my pups. I’ve found the size to be perfect for my smaller dogs, but owners of larger breeds may find them a bit too small. The price is reasonable compared to other brands, though.

One thing to remember about these treats is that, in terms of durability, they might not be the most long-lasting choice if your fur baby is an aggressive chewer. For my Black Lab mix, Jake, they get gobbed down in seconds! But our Shih Tzu loves ’em – makes his tail wag like a little propeller each time.

Anyone else had a similar experience or found a certain flavor their dogs just can’t resist? I’m always looking for new suggestions to treat the gang 😉

there, fellow pawrents. Just wanted to pop in with a quick question on Howl’s Kitchen Dog Treats’ durability. Our GSD (German Shepherd) Rocky is an aggressive chewer, and I’ve noticed some treats don’t quite hold up to his chompers. Can anyone speak from experience about whether these tantalizing tidbits stand a chance? For reference, “unbreakable” toys rarely last more than a day in our house!
A tiny backstory: Rocky once shredded a supposedly tough-as-nails rope toy in under an hour! It was all fun till we had to clean up the aftermath of a rope explosion throughout our living room… We laughed it off though, ’cause that’s life with a GSD, right?
Thanks in advance for any replies! 🐾

    A Paws-Up for Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats

Body: I’ve been using these treats with my Golden Retriever, Bella, for a few weeks now annd she’s hooked! The small size makes them perfect for training sessions without overfeeding her. Plus, they’re super durable – Bella is a rather enthusiastic muncher, but these treats don’t crumble or break easily under her eagerness. Quite economical too considering their longevity.

Funny story, the other day Bella actually found the bag of Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats herself. She went bonkers over them and just wouldn’t leave the bag alone. Had to lift it onto a higher shelf in the pantry!

The only drawback I found was that they can be a bit hard to remove from their packaging when you need ’em in a hurry – anyone got any tips on how to handle that? Anyway, overall big thumbs up from both me and Bella here!

I’ve been usin’ Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats for my old girl, a Border Collie mix. They’re just the right size for her, not too big and not too small, plus she seems to love the flavor! I’ve noticed though, they tend to dry out if left in the open for too long – they seem more durable when kept in an airtight container. Does anyone else have this experience with them? As for pricing, I find it reasonable considering the packet lasts quite a while. Just curious if anyone’s come across larger packs at a discount?

Well, I’ll be barking up a different tree here. Yes, Yummy Combs are great, no denying their popularity, but have you folks tried the Whimzees range? My 7 year old Boxer has been in love with their Alligator treats for years now. Easy on his teeth and keeps him busy for a while – plus, they’ve a variety of shapes if your pup loves variety just like mine does (a battle between the crocodile and hedgehog is a regular sight at my house). They’re a little pricier than Yummy Combs, but from my perspective worth every extra penny. Anyone else tried these?

I’ve also been using Bocce Bakery treats for my Bulldog, Bruno, and he seems to be quite fond of them. They’re a good size for him and not too hard; i’ve noticed some other treats can be a bit too tough on his jaw. In terms of price point, they seem pretty reasonable too considering the apparent quality and natural ingredients. I do wonder though if anyone else has noticed their dogs having slightly softer stools with these? Possibly due to the high fiber content – not a major issue, but something to keep an eye on! As always, it’s important to monitor your pets’ reactions when introducing any new food items into their diet. If there’s any change in your doggo’s health or habits, it might be time to have a chat with the vet.

I’ve been a dog dad for many years, and I feel you on your assessment of Pedigree’s dry dog food. Got the same results with my German shepherd Koda; he wasn’t really into it at first, but I could tell his coat seemed shinier and fuller after a couple weeks. But don’t get me started on the kibble size – it was way too small for my big guy! We worked it out by buying in larger quantities and storing properly to keep the crunch.

As for price, comparing it to other brands, I’d say it fits fairly within our monthly pet budget. Just a head’s up though, always introduce new food gradually to avoid tummy troubles – that goes for any brand!

Anyone else noticed difference in their pup’s coat after switching to Pedigree? And how’s the storage method working out in different climates?

Definitely agreeing with the positive insights on Whimzees. My Shih Tzu, Patches, loves them! The size is perfect for her little mouth and they’re far more durable than other brands we’ve tried. We were spending a mint previously on treats that wouldn’t last 5 minutes, so these are certainly ecoomical too. Just one piece of advice – introduce these treats slowly. Patches got a bit of an upset tummy initially since they were different from what she was used to.

On another note, has anyone tried Greenies? I’m thinking of testing them out as another treat option for Patches. Of course, Whimzees will still be our mainstay! Always nice to have options though, right?

Wow, Dingo Dog Treats. Now there’s a brand that could woo a star-nosed mole as well as Bruno the bulldog, it seems. I’ve been feeding these treats to my drama queen Beagle (yes, you read that right), and even with her are-you-kidding-me look every time I try something new, she still fell for the Dingos. They’re pretty decent size-wise, though not exactly pocket-friendly if you’re out for a walk. As for durability? Let’s just say they keep my furry diva busy for a cool 30 minutes – enough time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in peace! Just be warned, once your fur baby smells ’em… there’s no going back. They may require an extra long walk later though, just to burn off those treat-tastic calories!
