ParticipantIt’s great to hear that some folks are having a good experience with Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. I’ve been using it on and off for my Fur-baby, Max, over the last 8 years and so far it has been pretty reliable. It’s particularly convenient that it comes in various flavors and sizes, which is great when you have a picky eater like Max!
One feature I commend is the durability of the package itself. The seal always works perfectly, keeping freshness intact no matter how long your pooch takes to finish their bag. On the flip side, however, while still affordable in the realm of premium dog chows, this one does land slightly on the pricier side.
If you’re transitioning your dog to this brand from another diet, remember to do it gradually over 7 – 10 days by introducing increasingly larger portions of Wellness mixed into your dog’s previous food. This can help maintain dietary balance and prevent upset tummies.
Always consult with a vet before making any significant changes to your pet’s diet. Nutrition needs can vary depending on breed, size, and age among other factors. Also, has anyone tried transitioning senior dogs to this brand? Any pointers would be appreciated!

ParticipantTotally echo your points about Royal Canin dry food. We’ve had our little Shih Tzu, Daisy, on it for over six months and her coat has never looked better. Surprisingly, she also loves the kibble size which is suitable even for her small breed. I guess you may balk at the price initially but honestly, the quality and results make it worth every penny. Actually, Daisy was quite picky with other brands but took to Royal Canin effortlessly. For anyone transitioning their dog to a new food, I’d say give Royal Canin a shot – you might be pleasently surprised as we were! Remember though if dietary changes cause any apparent health issues, it’s always best to consult your vet.

ParticipantAbsolutely, I’ve been using Trader Joe’s dog treats for quite a while now and my furry companions seem to love them. Especially the Peanut Butter treats, they just go head over heels for them! The size is perfect for training purposes as they’re not too big, yet satisfying enough for my pooches. Plus, the price is quite reasonable compared to other boutique brands. However, always remember every dog has different taste preferences and dietary needs. So, it might be worth buying a small pack first to see if your furball enjoys them. If in doubt about new food items for your pet, definitely check with your vet. Has anyone else had their dogs try the PB ones?

ParticipantWhile I agree that Howl’s Kitchen Treats are great, I’ve had mixed results with different varieties. My Border Collie, Shep, went nuts for the Grain-Free Peanut Butter flavor, but didn’t seem to care for the Oven-Baked Chicken ones that much. Has anyone else noticed their pups being picky with these treats?
Fun little side note – Shep has turned out to be an amazing beggar. He’ll dance around in circles and “talk” whenever he catches a whiff of the Peanut Butter ones being opened! Can’t say I blame him too much though – they do smell pretty tasty.
Hint – If your dog is like mine, and a bit choosey, I recommend trying smaller packs first before investing in the bulk bags. Cheaper in the long-run if they decide they aren’t fans of a certain flavor!

ParticipantIsn’t it fascinating hoe much dogs love these Blue Buffalo treats? I’ve been using them for my Goldie for the past 2 years and he will do anything for one! Just curious though, have anyone noticed a difference between the soft and crunchy version in terms of their dog’s preference? Personally, my Goldie leans more toward the soft treats – seems like they’re easier for him to chew. Can that perhaps be linked to his age (He’s turning 8 this year)? For any health concerns, I’d recommend seeing a vet, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their pups too.
05/24/2025 at 4:49 PM in reply to: “Unleashing My Thoughts: A Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats Review” #7329KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantSo, I’ve been using the Crazy Dog Train-Me! treats for quite some time now, and my old Boxer, Max loves ’em. It’s realy kept our training sessions interesting. However, folks who are a bit more budget conscious might find the Blue Buffalo Mini Bars a good alternative. They work great for training sessions too and you get quite a lot of bang for your buck. The only thing is they’re chewier and larger in size so you might need to break them into smaller pieces for your little furball. Has anyone else given these Blue Buffalo Minis a try in their training routine?
04/11/2025 at 11:25 PM in reply to: “Real-Life Experience: A Comprehensive Wag Dry Dog Food Review by a Dedicated Dog Mom” #6462KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantOh, Wag dry dog food… my Staffy, Bella, used to absolutely gobble it up! The kibble size was perfect for her medium-sized chops and she always seemed to enjoy the taste. Plus, I liked that it didn’t break the bank! Funny story – whenever we’d come home with a new bag, Bella would nudge it around with her nose like she was trying to open it herself. Always gave us a good laugh!
If your pooch has a selective palate or is a bit picky eater, it might be worth giving Wag a try. Of course, always consult your vet before making changes to their diet. To those of you who also had positive experiences with Wag dry dog food – were there particular flavors or varieties your dogs couldn’t get enough of?

ParticipantOh boy, I feel you on the Wag dry food journey. I’ve got two lovely border collies: Benny and Lucy. Both are incredibly picky eaters, so finding the right food is always a bit tricky.
Once I switched to Wag, however, both dogs took an immediate liking to it and their coats have honestly never looked better! The packaging is quite durable too. Once opened, it stays fresh for a good while – so you definitely get value for your hard-earned money.
Just a little tip from my experience though: it’s best to introduce any new food gradually to avoid digestive upsets. Start by mixing in small amounts with their current food, increasing the ratio steadily over seven days or so.
How about the other folks here? What was your experience like when transitioning your fur babies to this brand of food?
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantOh, Heart to Tail treats, let me tell you, my golden retriever Susie is totally head over paws for them! Whoever’s been in charge of crafting these morsels surely knows the way to a dog’s heart. They’ve got the right size, easy for her to chew and not so tiny that they’re gone in an instant. The price? Not too shabby considering the quality and how durable the package is.
Just a heads up tho, when introducing these treats to your pooch, do it gradually and keep an eye on thier reactions since every dog is different. Got any other brand recommendations or quirky treat-related dog-tales to share? Would love to know more about what else Dick and Jane dogs out there are munching on!
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantAbsolutely, the size of these Ol’ Roy treats realy takes you by surprise! When I first adopted my Rottweiler, Max, I decided to give them a shot. Given his build, I figured it’d be okay but even he seemed taken aback by the sheer size! Nonetheless, he grew to love them and they’re pretty durable too, which makes for long-lasting chewing sessions. For smaller breeds tho, maybe try breaking ’em into smaller pieces if you buy Ol’ Roy. It’s possibly a bit of extra effort but could be worth it considering the price. Does anyone else break up their treats? Or is there a preferable alternate that comes in varied sizes?
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantI absolutely agree with all the praise Ol’ Roy dog treats have been getting! My lab, Benny, goes nuts for them. They are a good size for him – not too small he might choke but not so large I feel like he’s getting another meal. And talk about durability! Benny works on those treats for a good few minutes before they’re gone, and I love that I can also use these treats as a training reward. The price isn’t half bad either, especially compared to some of the “premium” brands out there.
However, with the fun comes a bit of mess. Any other owners notice how these treats leave crumbs? Was thinking of giving Benny his next Ol’ Roy outdoors or maybe even during bath time to keep things tidy. Thoughts?
03/03/2025 at 4:41 PM in reply to: “Discovering the Taste and Nutrition of Wholehearted Dog Treats: My Experience and Review” #6941KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantJust chiming in here to concur with everyone on the Wholehearted treats appeal. My obstinate Cocker Spaniel, Zoe, is notoriously picky when it comes to her snacks. Tried out the Wholehearted and she gobble them up like there’s no tomorrow! Besides enjoying them, I noted that they are perfectly-sized for training rewards and more affordable compared to some other brands out there. So yeah, Wholehearted treats are Zoe-approved, economically-friendly and don’t disappear in two seconds flat! Just curious, has anyone used these for advanced tricks training?
02/22/2025 at 3:00 AM in reply to: “Spoiling My Four-Legged Papillon: A DreamBone Dog Treats Review” #6994KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantTotally agree that DreamBone treats are a hit in many households – mine included! After trying several cheesy Bargain Box options, we stumbled upon this gem. Not only did my fluffball Dalmatian pup gobble them up (size was no issue – big mouth, you see), but he also started listening even better during training sessions – score!
However, for folks with smaller breeds or new puppies, I suggest starting with something sized appropriately. Brands like “Tiny Tidbits” offer itty-bitty chews that can be less intimidating and easier to manage for these little mouths.
Just remember, every doggo is unique and may take to different treats. Experimenting might be key. Any other favorite snack suggestions for our canine friends?
01/07/2025 at 1:14 AM in reply to: “Why the Switch to Trekker’s Calming Dog Treats Was Totally Worth It!” #7301KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantWow, I’m excited to see so many fans of Trekker’s Calming Dog Treats! My golden retriever Luna took instantly to these treats. Their size fits perfectly for a medium-sized dog like her annd she seems to love the taste. We’ve been using them during her agility training sessions and it’s made a noticeable difference in her performance.
A lot of you mentioned something that I noticed as well – they’re realy durable, especially compared to other calming treats. Luna’s quite the chewer and these treats keep her busy for longer periods.
Also, they’re so much more affordable than some overpriced brands without compromising quality. Honestly, for anyone still on the fence about trying Trekker’s, just give it a shot! Can’t go wrong with healthier ingredients and a happy pooch!
Does anyone else train their dogs while giving these treats? A curious strategy but it worked wonders for me.
KindlyKitten2881
ParticipantI’ve got to chime in here with my two cents on Full Moon treats. I’ve got an old, fussy Basset Hound (Larry, bless his heart) who turns his snout up at pretty much anything. But Larry gobbles these treats right up! He’s never been one for the hard or overly chewy treats, so the soft texture of Full Moon hits just the right spot for him. Price-wise, they’re a touch pricier than what I’d generally spend, but hey, anything for Larry’s happiness and comfort. Just remember to check on the treat size while purchasing because they might be too large for smaller breeds – a mistake I made when I first started buying them for my Miniature Schnauzer.
