  • Absolutely, DreamBone treats are a fantastic choice! They’ve been a staple in my household ever since I adopted my second Golden Retriever, Benny. He goes absolutely nuts over the mini ones – perfect size for him. Plus, they’re made with real chicken and veggies, which makes me feel good about what he’s munching on.

The price point is also very reasonable, especially considering how durable they are, Benny can gnaw away at one cheerfully for hours. Just be careful to supervise, as you should with any treat or chew. Always reminds me of that maxim, “Away from your eyes means danger in disguise”. Better safe than sorry.

And if anyone’s pup is initially skeptical about DreamBones (Benny was a little unsure at first) introducing them gradually worked wonders for us.

Has anyone tried the peanut butter filled DreamBone sticks? Thinking of switching things up a bit for Benny.

Absolutely, DreamBone treats are amazing! I’ve been using them for my Beagle pup and she just loses it every time she sees one. What I also appreciate is the fact these treats last a bit longer, considering how fast she usually devours things. The material isn’t too hard for her to chew which saves me from worrying about her teeth – always a plus! One minor setback might be the price; but honestly, for the happiness I see in my pup’s eyes, it’s totally worth it! Did anyone else find any alternative that’s just as good but maybe a touch cheaper?

Yep, I’m on board with these Aldi dog treats. I have a feisty little Beagle, Benny, who just can’t get enough of them. He loves tearing those treats apart – they really do last a while which is impressive considering thier price point. The cute heart shapes add a little something extra too! I’ve found that the size is great for training sessions and for rewarding good behavior (like when Benny finally stops digging holes in the backyard…). And hey, if you’re skeptical about the ingredients, always consult your vet to make sure they fit in with your dog’s diet. Anyone else notice their dog favoring a certain flavor? Benny seems to prefer the chicken ones.

An Alternative Take on Fresh Kisses Dog Treats

jsut hopping in here to share my experience with Fresh Kisses dog treats. I’ve been trying these out for a while now with my beagle, Rufus, and they’ve worked like a charm for our mini training sessions!

One thing that didn’t sit well was the size. Initially, I found them a bit too big for Rufus (he’s a small guy even for beagles). However, after trial and error we finally settled down with the extra-small size and that’s been just perfect for him.

I was also pleasantly surprised by how durable they were. Rufus is a heavy chewer but surprisingly he took more than his usual few seconds to finish one of these!

My only real gripe? Well, that would be price. I found them slightly pricey. But then again most things that work are aren’t they? Despite this though, seeing Rufus enjoy them makes it worth every penny!

As an alternative, you might want to try Zuke’s Mini Naturals Training Treats. They come in various flavors and are more affordable than Fresh Kisses!

How about you guys? How did your pooches adapt to the sizing of these treats?

in reply to: Real-World Experiences: A Canidae Dry Dog Food Review #6626

there! Yes, I’ve tried Canidae’s Grain Free Pure with my 5-year-old lab, and so far it’s been a real hit. It’s slightly expensive but we’ve decided to stick with it because the premium ingredients have greatly improved her coat – it’s never been this shiny! An additional plus is that the kibble size is perfect for larger breeds like my Lab. That said, if you’re dealing with a budget constraint, Blue Buffalo Wilderness High Protein Grain Free offers similar benefits at a slightly lower cost. Always remember if you’re planning on switching foods, gradually mix it in over a course of 10 days or so to avoid digestive issues. And as always, consult a vet before making big changes to your pupper’s diet.
Has anyone else here tried Blue Buffalo? How does your pooch like it?

Agreeing wholeheartedly with the praises here! I’ve spent years trying different foods for my picky Shiba Inu, Saki. When I switched to Canidae’s Grain Free Pure, she practically inhaled it – a reaction I had never seen before. She’s a little on the smaller side for her breed, and I’ve found the kibble size perfect for her. It’s noticeably less smelly than other brands we’ve tried, too. It may be slightly pricier but seeing her excited for mealtime? Totally worth it!

Anyone else observed their pup eating faster with this brand? Just on note of caution: while slow feeders weren’t necessary with prior food, you might want to introduce one if your pup hoovers it up like Saki does!

Just echoing the sentiments on Greenies here! I’ve two scruffy Schnauzers, Daisy and Donald, who simply adore these treats. What strikes me about Greenies is not just their affordability but also their availability in various sizes suitable for tiny, medium, and bigger dogs – a feature that’s often overlooked by other brands.

However, one thing I’d recommend to new Greenies users is to introduce these treats gradually into your pet’s diet. My Donald had a mild upset stomach initially since he wasn’t used to them (he’s got a rather sensitive tummy!). So maybe start off with smaller sized pieces or fewer numbers just to check how your dog reacts. Always consult a vet if you’re unsure or if any health issues arise.

But all in all, from my long-standing experience as a dog owner, I’d heartily recommend Greenies. They’ve been an absolute game-changer in our puppy training process and dental-care practice. Can anyone else share how they’ve incorporated Greenies into their training routines?

As an owner of an energetic Labrador, I’ve found that Nutro treats do wonders for his training sessions. Size-wise, they’re large enough to get his attention but not too large that he’s chewing forever, which is fantastic when trying to keep the flow during trraining. I remember I first bought them on a whim because they were on sale and since then, they’ve become our go-tos due to their impressive durability; they rarely break apart unlike many others we tried before. That said, even though price might be slightly above average, in my experience they last longer so still pretty decent value for money.

But I am curious about one thing: has anyone else noticed if their dogs seem a bit more eager during training when using these treats? Jack (that’s my Lab) seems positively thrilled when he sees the Nutro bag coming out! Just wondering if it’s the same with your furry fellows?

in reply to: Spreading Some Love on Pet Pride Dog Treats: A Review #6865

I’m with you on the Pet Pride treats love-fest! My Rottweiler, Max, acts like a puppy every time he sees me opening a bag. It’s great that they’re so affordable too; I don’t feel like I’m breaking the bank spoiling my big guy. As much as Max seems to adore them tho, I’ve noticed some of the treats are a bit inconsistent in size – some seem almost double than others. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? mabye it’s part of their charm… adds an element of surprise for Max I suppose!

I resonate with most of the sentiments here regarding Pet Pride dog treats. Just speaking from my personal experience, I initially bought them for my Golden Retriever Bella due to their reasonable price. However, I noticed Bella wasn’t particularly excited about them like she is with other treats I’ve used before. Also, I found these treats somewhat on the large side which can be difficult for smaller breeds to chew. Always consider your furbaby’s size and preferences when picking out dog treats! If you’re looking for an affordable alternative without compromising quality, Cloud Star’s Tricky Trainers have been a hit with Bella. Although it’ stll best to double check with your vet what works for your pup.

While Fromm treats sure seem popular around here, I thought I’d throw a different spin into the discussion. Have any of you guys tried Zuke’s Minis? My spry little Corgi, Derby, cannot get enough of them. We started using them as a training treat due to their low calorie count, and they’re just the perfect size for him. They’re like a pocket-sized flavor adventure for him! Plus, for those who might worry, they’re also wheat, corn, and soy-free. Maybe worth a shot if you want to mix things up in your pup’s treat routine!

Really interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts on Ollie dry dog food. As a Mastiff owner, I find the kibble size of Ollie to be just right for my big boy. He munches them without any difficulty. However, just like some of you I’ve noticed it’s a bit pricey compared to other brands with similar ingredient quality.

In my householod we’ve since switched to Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets. It’s easier on our wallets and my boy seems to enjoy it as much as he did Ollie’s. Still packed with all the nutrients necessary for his health and well-being too.

Has anyone else experimented with different brands for economic reasons? What are your experiences and recommendations? Remember though, when changing your pet’s diet it might be worth consulting with your vet first to ensure a smooth transition and that their nutritional needs continue to be met.

I’ve been feeding my Golden Retriever, Daisy, Fromm dog treats for a few years now. Absolutely agree on their high quality – they’re made with natural ingredients and she seems to adore the flavor! The size of the treats is also perfect for her – not too small to be insignificant, but not overly large either which makes portion control easier.

I find them reasonably priced considering their premium ingredients and the fact that they are made in the USA. It’s a sort of peace-of-mind I’m willing to pay for when it comes to Daisy’s health and well-being. Plus, they’ve become a significant part of our training routine over time; she’ll do jsut about any trick for these tasty morsels!

If anyone’s considering trying these out, I would say starting with a smaller package might be a good idea to see if your dog likes them as much as ours does. Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried using these treats in puzzle toys? How did your pups like it?

Ha, Buddy Biscuits are a real hit in our home too! As the owner of a Rottweiler mix with a hearty appetite but surprisingly selective tastes, I found these treats hard to beat. He particularly loves their texture and can’t seem to get enough of the peanut butter flavor. Plus, at just right size, they’re great for training sessions without overfeeding. For any fussy eaters out there, I’d definitely recommend giving Buddy Biscuits a try!

Has anyone tried freezing them? I heard it could be a good idea for teething puppies. Need some feedback on that. Remember folks, visit your vet if you suspect any dietary issues with your doggos!
