As a proud owner of two bouncy Labradors, I can vouch for the Old Mother Hubbard Dog Treats as being a solid hit in my household. These treates are decently sized, and I particularly appreciate how firm they are – it definitely keeps my boys engaged for a while. My only hitch lies with the price point; they’re a tad on the expensive side. But bothe me Lab boys love ’em so much, it makes me overlook that con most times. Just yesterday, I watched Benson perform his rollover trick five times in succession just because I held out one of these treats! As always though, remember to make any dietary changes gradually to avoid upsetting your doggo’s stomach.

Couldn’t resist jumping in on the Stewart dog treats bandwagon! I have a picky eater, my golden retriever Max, who usually turns up his nose at most commercial treat offerings. However, the moment he got a whiff of these Stewart freeze-dried liver treats, he was hooked. He does tend to take larger chonks than necessary so I’ve taken to breaking them into smaller pieces even though they are already bite-sized; this seems to also extend the longevity of the treat bag. For anyone wondering if it’s worth the price tag, in this case I definetly say – yes! Be sure to consult with a vet if you’re unsure about dietary changes though. Does anyone know if Stewart is planning to introduce any new flavors soon? Could be fun to see Max’s reaction.

Agree with all the love for Happy Hips dog treats here! They’re a surefire hit with my Border Collie, Rosie. I’ve noticed not just how much she enjoys them, but also the substantial size and excellent durability of these treats – they last well and give her a good chew session before she can finish one up. All in all, pretty great bang for your buck.

Quick question though: Has anyone experienced any changes in their dog’s behavior or overall eagerness after introducing these treats? Rosie has always been one energetic pupper but she seems even more driven during training when I introduce these as rewards. It may just be coincidence, but curious to hear if anyone else observed this? As always, if you notice something odd with your pet’s behavior, it’s best to consult a professional. Cheers!

Couldn’t agree more about Stewart dog treats. I’ve been using them as a training treat for my energetic Cocker Spaniel, Rufus, for some time now. They’re the perfect size for him and more importantly, they keep him focused during our sessions! Not to mention these are real meat treats, no confusing ingredients list to navigate through.

Besides being essential during training, they serve as a special little reward when Rufus behaves well on our visits to the dog park. Let me tell you, Rufus is one picky eater but he never turns down a Stewart treat!

Tip: They also work well when you’re introducing your pup to new experiences – having their favorite treat on hand can turn a potentially scary situation into a positive one. Always handy to have in your pocket!

Has anyone else used these treats in different settings? mabye during grooming sessions or car rides? Curious to know your experiences!

I think it’s great to see all the positive feedback on Buddy Biscuits! My lab, Charlie, has always been a bit on the picky side as well. He absolutely adores these treats, particularly the peanut butter flavor. How are you finding the treat size for your dogs? With Charlie being a larger breed, I sometimes worry he might just be gulpin’ them down without getting much enjoyment out of it. Does anyone break them up or use them as training rewards maybe?

Reply: I’d like to chime in here as someone who’s been using Happy Dog Dry Food for a little over a year now. My 7-year-old Border Collie, Rex, was getting bored of his previous food and his coat was looking a bit dull. Since switching to Happy Dog, not only has his coat regained its luster, but he seems more energetic and enthusiastic during our long beach walks too.

Now talking about the food itself, it’s worth mentioning the size and texture of the kibble. They’re not too large or hard, which makes it easier for Rex to chew and digest. A minor detail that many might not consider is the packaging durability. It has held up pretty well even beng shoved into corners and occasionally pawed at by an eager Rex.

I do feel that the price is a tad on the higher side compared to other brands, but given how much Rex loves it and considering the positive effects on his health (always consult with your vet first), I think it’s worth it!

As an additional note, I would recommend introducing any new food into your dog’s diet gradually. I started transitioning Rex onto Happy Dog by replacing about 10% of his old food every few days until he was fully switched over.

Anyone else introduced Happy Dog slowly or did you make the switch all at once? I’m curious to know what other fur parents have tried!

Agreement: Couldn’t agree more about the appeal of Grandma Lucy’s treats – I’ve got a stubborn old beagle who turns his nose up at most goodies, but he positively drools for these. He can’t get enough of the pumpkin-flavored ones especially. I really appreciate that they’re made from quality ingredients and are quite durable too. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I’m giving him something that he adores and which isn’t just junk food.

Question: Does anyone have any ideas on how to ration these out? My buddy would eat the whole bag in one go if given half a chance (not that I’d let him!). How many treats do your guys suggest for daily consumption?

Boy, can I relate to your experience with Grandma Lucy’s! My corgi, Bella, was obsessed with them at first – she’d do any trick for these treats. The size was perfect, not too big for her small mouth. But then, after a while, she became less enthusiastic and would just leave them untouched. To be honest, I was disappointed given the price and how much she initially loved them.

As far as durability is concerned, they do last long if stored properly. But what’s the point if your pooch doesn’t munch on ’em anymore? I found an alternate – ‘Buddy Bits’, they are cost-effective and Bella hasn’t gotten over them yet. Besides, you might want to consult a vet while transitioning to a new brand of treats. Just my two cents!

Have any of you tried ‘Buddy Bits’? How did your dogs like it?

I too use Buddy Biscuits for my 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Roxy. The size of these treats is perfect for her and there doesn’t seem to be any weird artificial ingredients which is a huge plus. However, do remember guys, moderation is key even with treats like these – too much can lead to pup gaining unnecessary weight. My strategy? I usually crumble one biscuit over Roxy’s dinner if she’s been a good girl that day! Sto keeping their tasty allure while not going overboard. Does anyone else have specific pet-treat routines?

I’ve got to say, my experience with Happy Dog Dry Food was acceptable, but not superb. I mean, its kibble size is perfect for both small and large breeds—my terriers and Labradors have no trouble gulping them down. And yes, it’s pretty durable in terms of shelf life, which is a bonus when bulking buying. But the composition—it just struck me as lacklustre in comparison to some other brands out there on the market.

For instance, I switched one of my Labs over to Blue Buffalo Wilderness recently and, without making any specific health claims, I can see she’s got a bit more spring in her step during our morning jogs. Now, it may be her age or it might be the diet change—I’m not sure. It’s more expensive than Happy Dog but given my observation with her energy levels increasing I reckon it might be worth considering.

Has anyone else tried both Happy Dog and Blue Buffalo Wilderness? Would be interesting to know if your furry friends showed similar changes or not. And remember guys, always consider consulting your vet before changing your pup’s diet!
