  • Well, strap in folks, because my experience with these Dingo treats sure has been… interesting. Got ’em on a bit of a whim for my three-year-old pug – she’s pretty fussy about her snacks but hey, the price was right so why not, right? Never seen her go to town on a treat like she did with these! Not just tasty apparently; they’ve proven to be quite durable too considering my pup’s tenacity.

On the flip side though, I’ve found them rather messy. Crumbs galore every time she chomps down, and let me tell you it’s no fun cleaning these up from the rug. So uh… maybe only give ém to your furry friend on hard flooring or outdoors. Anyone else found this to be the case, or is my lovely little shredding machine just an outlier here? Always possible I suppose.

all! I’ve tried the Hollywood Stars with my Border Collie, Max, and he seemed to enjoy them, but I found them to be a bit pricey for the amount you get. For anyone on a budget, I’d recommend giving Zuke’s Mini Naturals a shot. They’re great for training, come in a variety of flavors, and are quite affordable while still maintaining quality. Sure they aren’t as extravagant as the Hollywood Stars, but my boy Max gobbles them up just the same! Anyone else tried Zuke’s? What are your experiences?

For sure, count me in as another fan of Hollywood Stars dog treats! I’ve been giving them to my pug for about a year now. They’re perfectly sized for his small mouth and he seems to really enjoy the taste. When training him to stay off the couch, these treats played a crucial role due their irresistible flavor (for him, of course!). Their durability is also impressive; the bag doesn’t compromise the quality of the product over time – still as fresh as on day one. To those considering it, definitely give it a go! I’d love to hear others’ experience with introducing these treats during training sessions. Are they effective universally or does it vary from breed to breed?

Can I just say how much my Basset Hound, Lucy, adores DreamBone treats? We’ve tried different brands and sizes before, but these seem to hold her interest the longest. The size is just right for her and they’re durable enough to last about a day or two of dedicated chewing. But yes, I agree with some of you about them being a little on the expensive side. An amusing side note – the other day I found one stowed away in my shoe; Lucy’s secret stash, perhaps? As for availability and pricing, I find that ordering online in bulk usually gets me the best deal. For those worried about potential digestive issues, it’s always best to consult your vet first before introducing a new type of treat into your dog’s diet. Has anyone else’s fur baby developed any cute “hidng spots” for their DreamBone treats?

this reminds me of when I tried giving my Golden Retriever, Daisy, these Blue dog treats. She really loved the flavor but like many here have mentioned, she also struggled with the size – I had to break them up into smaller pieces for her. On the bright side, they did seem to last longer that way!
Now here’s a question for you all: has anyone tried moistening the treats a bit before giving it to their pup? I wonder if that might make it a tad easier for them chew and swallow without losing the crunch that dogs seem to love. Your thoughts?

there, I’m in agreement about the size of the Blue dog treats. I learned the hard way when my Boxer mix, Bella got put off by their large size too. However, instead of ditching them completely, I tried breaking the treats into smaller pieces and voila! It worked out great! Now, Bella loves them and I feel good knowing she’s getting a quality treat. Always remember your pup’s preferences might require a little tweak in how you serve things. Has anyone else tried this approach? Let’s discuss some creative ways we can introduce these nutritious treats to our pups!

in reply to: My Honest Thoughts: Smokehouse Dog Treats Review #6961

fellow dog owners! I’ve definitely found that the size of the Smokehouse dog treats are perfect for a mid-size to larger breed. My pup, Bella (she’s a Border Collie), takes a good while to munch through one — so it’s not just gulp and gone. Really great for keeping her occupied while I’m trying to get some work done at home!

But folks with tinier dogs might want to be careful. For smaller fur babies, consider breaking the treat into smaller pieces, at least initially, just to be safe. It’s not about how “hardy” your dogs seems, it’s more about the fit with their mouth and teeth size.

About their durability––I was pleasantly surprised! Bella is pretty much a chewer but these treats hold up well. And considering it costs less than some of those fancier brands out there, definitely worth your bucks.

A little story here: Once we ran out of Smokehouse treats and I gave Bella a different brand (won’t name names here), she sniffed it once and walked away! Haha… she’s a Smokehouse gal now for sure!

By the way, has anyone tried using these as high-value training rewards? Just curious about your experiences!

Oh boy, I couldn’t agree more about the Wholehearted dog treats. My Golden Retriever, Benji’s tail won’t stop wagging every time he sees that treat bag! The size and consistency of the treats are also great for training purposes, since they’re small enough to not fill him up too quickly but substantive enough for him to actually enjoy.

In terms of price, I believe they’re pretty reasonable considering the quality. I particularly appreciate that they’re grain-free and contain no artificial colors or flavors—just real chicken and other wholesome ingredients. Great for a health-conscious owner like myself!

The only downside that I’ve found is that they can get a bit crumbly if not stored properly. So my advice would be to make sure you tightly seal the bag after each use. Has anyone else had this experience? Or found a creative way around it… maybe using them as food toppers?

Overall though, I’d say Wholehearted dog treats are worth both your time and money! Let’s keep spoiling our pups with wholesome goodies!

Ah, Wholehearted dog treats, the pinnacle of canine cuisine, right? Well, just had to weigh in here. I’ve got a spry German Shepherd named Rex and those bite-sized goodies went down like a charm – I swear he didn’t even chew! While I can’t deny they make for a convenient training tool due to their small size and apparent tastiness, I found they tend to crumble quite easily. Not the best news for those of us with cream carpets. However, price-wise, they’re nicely Affordable. You get what you pay for, as they say.

My alternative (and Rex’s favourite) however, are the Farmer’s Dog Jerky Strips. They’re also bite-sized, tough enough for a good chew yet very chewable – plus no scattering crumbs! More expensive sure, but sometimes worth it for that tidy edge. Anyone else found a no-crumb alternative that won’t break the bank?

Just wanted to drop my two cents on the Fresh Kisses Dog Treats discussion. My golden retriever, Benny, is usually quite picky when it comes to treats. However, he seems to have taken a liking to these! They are nicely sized for him and seem to last quite awhile too. Pricing-wise, they’re a bit steep compared to other brands we’ve used in the past but given Benny’s enjoyment and how they keep his teeth clean, I think it may be worth the extra bucks.

One thing I’d suggest anyone using these treats with big breeds: monitor your dog while they’re gnawing on one of these. Benny was so enthusiastic once, he nearly swallowed it whole! Had a bit of a scare but he was fine eventually (always recommend checking with a vet if you notice any digestion issues with your pooch).

Has anyone else found them effective for dental hygiene? Benny’s breath seems fresher, but I’m curious about long-term effects.

Absolutely agree with you guys, Full Moon treats are a hit in our household too. We’ve got a particularly picky Shih Tzu named Gigi and she’s partial to the Chicken Jerky recipe. It feels like I’m giving her something healthy that she enjoys, especially given the company claims they use high-quality ingredients without any fillers or nasty artificial stuff.

The price point might seem a bit steep for doggo treats at first glance, but considering the longevity of the pack (they last ages!), it’s pretty value for money. Also, I’d rather pay a bit more for wholesome snakcs than save up and compromise on my pet’s health.

Those of you who’ve tried the other flavors, how do your pups like them? We’re considering branching out to try some of their other recipes next. And remember, as much as these treats are great, always consult a vet if there are any unusual reactions.

I’ve been feeding Canidae’s Grain Free Pure to my aging golden retriever for a few months now. On first try, my ordinarily picky eater definitely took to this food quite well. It’s worth noting that the kibble size is small and easy to chew, which makes it ideal for senior dogs like mine with dental problems. Regarding its price, although a bit higher than other brands, I found that the quality and nutritional balance certainly justify the cost. However, always consult with your vet before changing your dog’s diet.

What alternative foods have anyone here tried for dogs with sensitive stomachs? Do they compare well with Canidae’s Grain Free Pure in terms of digestibility and taste?

I’ve been alternating between the Full Moon and another brand for my Lab, Rocky. While he enjoys the taste of the Full Moon treats, they can be a big chunky for him at times and I have to break them down a bit. jsut wondering if anyone else noticed this? I wonder if smaller dogs find them harder to chew or not? On a positive note, I do like the resealable bag and that you don’t have to worry about artificial ingredients. Overall though, they seem like a great treat!

Absolutely agree! Those Pet Pride dog treats are a real winner in my household too. My Labrador, Benny, completely adores them – he’s actually starting to respond to training better because he knows one of these treats is coming his way as a reward. They’re just the right size for him and are price-friendly which I love.

Got a funny anecdote to share; Benny usually ignores his old chew toys now that these treats have become his ultimate favourite. Ever since introducing him to Pet Pride, anything else is deemed second-rate. Who knew upgrading treats could make me suddenly realize how much stuff we’ve accumulated for him over time but never used.

Out of curiosity, anyone tried the Chicken & Sweet Potato variant? How did your fur babies take to it? Remember, if your dog has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, always consult your vet before trying new products!

Adding my Two Cents on Pet Pride Dog Treats

Well, don’t even get me started on Pet Pride Dog treats! I’ve had an interesting experience with these myself. I own two large breeds so the size of the treats was a big plus for me right off the bat. The treats are hearty and definately durable – my dogs chewed happily for a good fifteen minutes on one treat alone.

That being said, I noticed they gave my dog quite the stinky breath afterwards. Tried to train them to drink some water after munching, but you know how stubborn dogs can be sometimes haha!

Anyone else’ dogs got stinky breath after these or just mine? Wondering if it’s something in that flavor mix… Anyway, back to nightly teeth brushing routine it is!

Remember folks, no matter how much our pets love a particular treat, always keep an eye out on any changes it may cause. And when in doubt, never hurts to consult your trusted vet!
