I’m also a fan of the Whistle Go Explore, especially for its rugged durability. My dog Benji is an adventurous Golden Retriever who likes to get dirty, and I’ve found this device stands up to all sorts of outdoor conditions. However, I do have a question relating to its size – although compact, it’s still a tad bulky on Benji’s collar.

Is anyone here using it with a smaller breed? And if so, how does it fit? I’m considering getting one for our new family member – a tiny Chihuahua pup.

Absolutely hit the nail on the head about the durability of the Whistle Go Explore, especially if you have a rough ‘n tumble dog like my bulldog Chester. He’s a bit of a tank and has a knack for breaking things, but this device has surely withstood his antics. As for its compact size, I can confirm it doesn’t look bulky on him at all! A dry towelette for cleaning works wonders when it needs sprucing up a bit. How’s everyone’s battery life been? My experience is closer to 5-6 days, maybe due to Chester constant outdoor activities.

I’ve got to echo the sentiments on the Whistle Go Explore’s durability. My German Shepherd, Max, is one rough cookie and this device has really withstood his daily rough and tumble. I was worried about the size initially, thought it could be a bit bulky for him but turns out, it didn’t bother him a bit. If you’re considering Whistle Go Explore, remember to gradually introduce the device to your pooch so it doesn’t feel like an oddity but part of them. This worked wonders for us. Just my two cents.

Absolutely agreeing with all the praise for the Whistle Go Explore. I’ve had it for a few months now with my Lab, Buddy, and so far so good. The durability is undeniably top-notch – Buddy is pretty rough with his toys, yet this device has managed to bear all of that playfulness without any malfunctions or damage.

In terms of size, I was initially concerned if it would be too bulky for him but surprisingly, it’s been quite comfortable on Buddy. Another big plus point to mention is the material which is easy to clean; a little quick wipe down after our outdoor adventures and it looks as good as new.

As for the price; well, I feel like you’re paying for quality here. It’s not exactly inexpensive, but then again, it hasn’t let me down yet (touch wood). One small advice out there for those considering this product – start introducing this device to your dog slowly. Allow them some time to get used to the feel of a device attached on their collar.

Just curious though; Has anyone tried using other tracking apps/devices alongside the Whistle Go Explore? Would love to hear about your experiences.

Couldn’t agree more with the durability comments. I bought a Whistle Go Explore for my Boxer, Bella, who’s got a knack for destroying anything attached to her collar. Yet this lil gadget has stood strong. Its size was a concern initially as Bella is pretty picky (she once refused to wear her festive Christmas bandana because it didn’t “feel right”). But she took to the Whistle Go Explore surprisingly quickly, without any of the fuss normally associated with anything new!

What makes it even more impressive is the fact that Bella is not just an active dog but also loves exploring rugged outdoor locations – she’s true to her breed and adventurous at heart. The device seems immune even to the roughest of terrains. Even from a price perspective, in my opinion, it’s a worthwhile investment considering the peace of mind you get by keeping an eye on your fur-baby’s whereabouts all day.

As for tips? Well, if your dog has sensitive skin like Bella, make sure you move the device around on their collar every few days to avoid any irritation spots. Has anyone else tried any other durable tracker for their outdoorsy pooch?

Remember: No device should replace adequate supervision and safety measures while outdoors with your dogs! This is only a tool to enhance those efforts.
