I feel like I have to chime in here with my experience using Wellness Complete Health dry dog food for a bit over a year now. I initially bought it because of the high-quality ingredients listed and the not-so-steep price point, but it became apparent overtime that it didn’t suit my beagle, Toby. Nothing alarming – no unusual weight gain or loss – but he seemed less excited at meal times.

Every dog is different, of course, so maybe other pups might take to this product better than Toby did. However, I recently switched to another brand with a grain-free option and there’s been a noticeable change – Toby now eagerly awaits dinner time!

Anybody else had a similar experience? Like, has your pup showed less enthusiasm while on Wellness Complete Dry Dog Food? And if so, were you able to find an alternative that was more palatable to them?

As we all know though, when your pet’s behavior drastically changes (especially with regards to food), it might be worth a quick chat with the vet to rule out any possible health issues.

It’s great to hear that some folks are having a good experience with Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. I’ve been using it on and off for my Fur-baby, Max, over the last 8 years and so far it has been pretty reliable. It’s particularly convenient that it comes in various flavors and sizes, which is great when you have a picky eater like Max!

One feature I commend is the durability of the package itself. The seal always works perfectly, keeping freshness intact no matter how long your pooch takes to finish their bag. On the flip side, however, while still affordable in the realm of premium dog chows, this one does land slightly on the pricier side.

If you’re transitioning your dog to this brand from another diet, remember to do it gradually over 7 – 10 days by introducing increasingly larger portions of Wellness mixed into your dog’s previous food. This can help maintain dietary balance and prevent upset tummies.

Always consult with a vet before making any significant changes to your pet’s diet. Nutrition needs can vary depending on breed, size, and age among other factors. Also, has anyone tried transitioning senior dogs to this brand? Any pointers would be appreciated!

Totally agree with you on the quality of Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. My Labrador, Max, has been a fan for years now. The kibbles are just the right size for him and he seems to digest it well. I also appreciate that it’s made with real ingredients rather than fillers. Now, it might be a tad pricier compared to some other brands out there but honestly, it’s worth every penny when I see my dog’s shiny coat and enthusiastic tail wag. Remember though folks, every dog is different! If your furry friend doesn’t seem happy with their food or shows signs of dietary issues, it’s always best to consult your vet before making any big changes.

Agreed with you all on the stellar quality of Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. We switched our energetic Beagle, Jess, onto this food about a year ago and we’ve noticed her coat is shinier and she’s far more energetic – a real boost for our adventures in the park! It isn’t the cheapest option, but you can’t really put a price on your furry friend’s health and happiness, right? We did find that introducing the new food gradually over a week or so helped to avoid any stomach upsets. Curious to know if anyone else found this helpful during their transition?

Absolutely agree on the quality aspect of Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. Three years ago, I started my Golden Retriever, Bella, on it and noticed she particularly enjoyed the chicken & oatmeal flavor. Her coat’s always been pretty shiny but seemed even glossier after a while, though it’s hard to tell if this is due to the food or her general health.

However, in terms of price, it can be a bit steep compared to other brands out there offering similar nutrition profiles. It’s not necessarily a deal-breaker for me since Bella enjoys it and I think investing in our fur babies’ nutrition is really important. But it’s something for budget-conscious pet parents to consider. For those interested in serving this product to their dogs but worried about cost, introducing the new food gradually by mixing it with the existing diet could be an effective way to make each bag last a little longer.

Always remember that every dog is different so what works well for one might not work for another. It’s best to consult your vet when making significant dietary changes.

everyone, thought I’d throw in my two cents about this Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. While it’s indeed a good quality product, I found that my Bull Terrier wasn’t too fond of the taste. Tried a few times to mix it in with other meals, but Tina just wasn’t having it!

I switched to “Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula” instead which she seemed to like alot more. However, it didn’t bother me so much since all dogs have thier own personal preferences when it comes to food. Always make sure you’re paying attention to your dog’s individual reactions and watch if they’re enjoying their meals.

Remember folks, what suits one dog might not work for another. Always keep an eye out on how your pup reacts to any new food, and consult with your vet if anyone has serious concerns about diet or health! And just out of curiosity, has anyone else experienced the same with Wellness Complete food or is it just my picky Tina?

Oh man, I couldn’t agree more! I’ve been using Wellness Complete Health dry dog food for my golden retriever, Seb, for about a year now and the difference has been really noticeable. His fur is shinier, he seems way more energetic and even his bad breath isn’t that bad anymore! 😂 I find the kibble size to be just perfect for him and love that the bag reseals with ease – it definitely maintains freshness for longer. The only downside? It’s a bit on the pricey side but well worth every penny in my opinion. The transition was pretty smooth; we mixed his old food with this one over a week before completely switching. By the way, anyone else noticed improvements in their dogs’ dental health after switching here? Please consult your vet if you have any health concerns.

Oh, absolutely! Who would’ve thought that somethin’ as simple as a dog food switch could make such a difference? My formerly finicky Poodle embraced Wellness Complete Health dry dog food with an enthusiasm I haven’t seen since the day he discovered squeaky toys. And, ain’t it just great to see that the kibble size is perfect for small breeds? No more struggling with oversized pieces. Price wise? Listen, it’s worth every penny. Gotta say, my pooch even has this shiny coat goin’ on now, really dazzling! But hey, this is just anecdotal evidence. Always consult your vet before making dietary changes, folks! Now, has anyone else noticed their dogs having healthier coats after switching to Wellness?

Oh totally, switching to Wellness Complete Health was one of the best moves I’ve made in terms of my pup’s nutrition. My border collie Marley has been on it for about 6 months now annd she wolfs it down every time! It’s a bit pricey but you can really see the difference in her coat – it’s so shiny and healthy looking now. Also love that it comes in different size bags, so it works out great for our multi-dog household. Anyway, I’d say all-in-all it’s been a pretty positive change for us. But as always, if your dog starts acting differently after a food switch, definitely check in with your vet just to be safe!

Absolutely agree with both of you about the benefits of Wellness Complete Health dry dog food. When I switched our family Lab, Archer, to this brand, it was a game-changer.

However, looking at alternatives I’d like to suggest trying “Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Dry Dog Food”. This brand, similar to Wellness, prioritizes high-quality ingredients and has worked wonders on Archer’s coat and energy levels too. Its single source protein and limited carb sources are particularly good if your dogs have any dietary sensitivities.

Ultimately though, every dog is different and what works wonderfully for one may not quite cut it for another. Always refer to your vet before making any major diet changes. Has anyone else tried Natural Balance and noticed improvements or differences?
