I like to take my golden retriever, Buster, camping and we often venture off the beaten trail. The Link My Pet GPS collar has been a game-changer for our adventures! The adjustable size fits him perfectly and the material is tough enough to survive his rough-and-tumble play. Plus, it’s pretty darn accurate. I’ve tested it a bunch of times – even in dense forest and it’s always spot on.

About the price, I won’t sugarcoat it – it’s on the pricey side. However, I view it as an investment in Buster’s safety which makes it worth every penny to me.

Quick tip for any new users: make sure you’re checking your app frequently during your first few outings with your pooch wearing the collar. It helps you understand how the signal works best depending on where you are and gives peace of mind too.

Has anyone out there found anything comparable that might be a little easier on the wallet? I’d love to explore different options.

Absolutely agree with everything you’ve said about the Link My Pet GPS Collar. I have a rambunctious Beagle named Teddy who has a knack for sniffing his way into mischief. For us, the collar’s compact size and robust material have stood up to all his adventures, just like your Buster on camping trips. It really eased my worries knowing he’s safe especially since my Teddy likes to explore.

Regarding the price, it might be a little on the higher side, but it gives great peace of mind knowing that this durable little device can withstand out woodland jaunts and our city walks equally well.

As for a little tip: Teddy didn’t like wearing it initially, so I slowly introduced it to him by keeping it near his regular collar until he got used to its presence. That worked a charm for us!

Do any of you also use the activity tracking feature? I find it super useful for keeping up with Teddy’s exercise levels!

Oh boy, you guys and your high-tech gizmos. Not saying the Link My Pet GPS isn’t cool – it is. But my old beagle, Snoopy, and I enjoy getting lost! Bit of a thrill, ya know? Now this collar’s size works for a chunky fella like Snoopy and it’s held up pretty well, even when he goes barrel rolling down hills. That said, for those less adventurous souls out there (not judging!), try using a lighted collar during camping trips. Keeps them visible and somewhat still on track if they decide to chase after a squirrel at night. Anyone else tried the light-up option?

Had to laugh at the “high-tech gizmo” bit. Can’t argue there – it does feel a bit like we’re spoiling our dogs with tech gear that even I’m sometimes bamboozled by! How many of you guys can remember when a simple whistle or name call was all the GPS we needed? Ah, times sure have changed!

Regarding Link My Pet GPS Collar, I’ve gotta say it’s served me and my overzealous Springer Spaniel, Dash quite well on our hiking trips. The tracking feature is accurate and the build quality can pass what I call “the Dash test”, which entails mud baths, bush dives & impromptu swims without a single glitch.

That said, I found sizing to be a bit tricky at first. The collar’s slightly bulky for smaller breeds if you ask me. Also, anyone noticed how quickly it drains phone battery though? Or is it just my ancient iPhone acting up again?

Now for those considering this purchase: start with short distance tests at your local parks before relying entirely on it in larger, unfamiliar environments. But overall? No complaints worth mentioning here – especially given the peace of mind it brings!

Anyways, to toss out a question into the ring: Has anyone tried using the activity monitor feature? Would love to know your thoughts and experiences!

Absolutely agree, the Link My Pet GPS Collar is one of those “high-tech gizmos” that ultimately brings peace of mind for dog owners. I’ve had mine on my Lab, Bruno, for about a year now and it barely shows any signs of wear and tear – solid material! Plus, the size is perfect and doesn’t cause any discomfort despite Bruno’s continuous play in the yard. Price-wise it might seem steep initially, but trust me, it’s worth every penny when your four-legged friend has a penchant for explorations.

Quick tip though: make sure to calibrate the GPS properly during setup and check regularly – it’ll save you some panic-induced hustle later. Anyone else had experiences where their pup managed to give them a good scare due to a false alarm?

I have to be the voice of dissent here. Even though it’s a very interesting concept, the Link My Pet GPS Collar didn’t exactly win me over. My trusty German Shepherd, Max, is a big guy, and for him, the collar seemed oversize. The material felt lacking in durability too! For that price point, I was seriously expecting more robustness.

Max huffed around with it like a saggy tire stuck around his neck and started scratching at it (poor boy!), so after a week, I decided it was time to switch back to his old collar. The ‘high tech gizmo’ ended up not being very practical for us.

Anyone else experienced this with larger breeds? Would love to hear some alternatives you guys recommend. What about traditional dog tags? Let’s bring ’em back folks!

While I see the appeal of the Link My Pet GPS Collar, I can’t help but find it a tad bit bulky for smaller dog breeds. My Shih Tzu, Muffin, was visibly uncomfortable with the collar’s size and weight. Some other lighter options, like the Whistle GO Explore, might be worth considering. The price point is similar and it comes with health monitoring features too. But hey, if your pooch is on the larger side, Link My Pet could work beautifully – jsut be sure to try it out first!

I have to chime in here as we’ve been using the Link My Pet GPS Collar for our golden retriever Max for about 6 months now. Yes, the size and bulkiness is a minor setback, as it did look quite large on him initially. We got used to it though, and fortunately, it didn’t seem to bother Max at all. Over time we’ve come to absolutely adore this device because of how reliable and durable it is!

When it comes to price, I’d say it’s worth every penny given the peace of mind it provides knowing exactly where our adventurous boy is at any given time. A day comes to mind when Max got a wild hare and decided to go on an unchaperoned field trip around the neighborhood – we nearly had a heart attack! But with the help of Link My Pet’s accurate location tracking, we got him back safe and sound within minutes.

My advice? Give your furry friend some time to adjust to having it around their neck and monitor them closely in the beginning. It sure does grow on you (and them!).

As a dog owner with 9 years of experience, I must say that while I agree the Link My Pet GPS Collar may seem bulky, its benefits outweigh its size disadvantage. We use it for our adventurous German Shepherd who loves exploring on hikes. Sure, it looks a little hefty on her but the peace of mind we get in knowing she’s safe is worth it. On a side note, we recommended getting to know how your pet responds to wearing it around the house before venturing outside. And as with any new technology, give yourself time to familiarize with its usage and functions. So even though it could be an unexpected spenditure, I consider this collar an invaluable tool for any wandering pup’s human!

I totally hear you on the size aspect – I also thought it was a tad bulky for my french bulldog, Bella. After a week or so, she seemed to get used to it and now it’s no bother at all. The durability is really impressive though – Bella is a bit of a wild child and the collar has withstood her rough and tumble play style quite well. Has anyone tried using this model with smaller breeds? Like, under 15 pounds? Would love to know if it fits comfortably or if the bulkiness issue persists.

I’ve been using the Link My Pet GPS Collar too; definitely impressed with its durability, it’s held up well on my active Border Collie. Agree with those who say it’s a bit chunky, but my pup doesn’t seem bothered by it. Price wise, yes, it’s a splurge but knowing Kiki’s exact location when she decides to give chase to a squirrel is worth every penny.

Little tip: Take time introducing the collar to your fur friend. In the initial stages we made a game out of it, giving Kiki treats each time she wore it and, eventually she got used to having it on daily.

And besides size concerns, has anyone tried its nightlight feature? It’s super handy during our nightly walks! Can’t believe I didn’t stumble upon this gem earlier.

Don’t get me wrong, the Link My Pet GPS Collar ain’t that bad. It’s just…well, my pocket ain’t very deep and the price point got me squinting. Also, it gave my Dalmatian, Spot, a kind of “tech overload” look that just isn’t his style. We went back to our trusty old leather collar and lest you think we’re lost in prehistoric times, paired it with a Tractive GPS Tracker. Real sleek, small and Spot barely notices it’s there. Maybe check it out if you haven’t already and have a pupper who preferes no fancy neck gear.

Anyone else tried Tractive or another compact solution?
