MemberOne thing I defnitely noticed was that the bed keeps its shape incredibly well, despite him sometimes acting like it’s a trampoline (he’s just over a year, still very much a puppy in spirit). Just thought I’d mention that coz a couple of posts previously seemed to question the overall durability. From my experience so far… it’s pretty resilient!
As for those mentioning the price point – yeah it is a bit steep. But considering how quickly we had to replace our previous ‘cheaper’ beds due to wear and tear, for us this feels like a worthy investment. So for now, both pupper and wallet are happy 🙂 Anyone else here feel the same way?

MemberHowever, if you’re dealing with a chewer like I am (RIP several plush toys), then you might notice some wear n’ tear – my guy managed to create several dents in what supposed to be an indestructible bed! 😅 Overall though, if your dog is more civilised when it comse to chewing and don’t mind spending a bit more, Tempur Pedic’s beds are well worth the investment.
As an alternative, has anyone tried out the FurHaven Orthopedic Dog Bed? It’s another one that’s come highly recommended to me – I’m thinking of getting it as a second bed just so my boy has options around the house. Would love to hear thoughts on how it stacks up against Tempur Pedic!

MemberOne bit of advice would be to grab washable cover for it – helps keeping things fresh (if you know what I mean) especially if your dog spends lots of time in their bed.
Anyone out there who has tried adding something chew-resistant to their dog’s bed? Would be nice to hear some alternatives from you guys!09/19/2024 at 6:32 AM #4537calm_corgi_1085
MemberTo the person mentioning dealing with a chewy pup…I hear ya! Barney used to go to town on all his beds, but strangely enough, he hasn’t even tried with this one. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
And BIG +1 on gettiing the washable cover. We were unlucky enough to get hit with both ends of Barney (if you catch my drift) in the first week of having the bed and let me tell you, that cover saved us.
Anyone else notice their dogs sleeping more soundly though? I’m wondering if Barney’s just extra lazy or if it’s thanks to the bed.

MemberAnd the washable cover is a LIFESAVER. We grabbed a couple extras so we always have one clean and ready to go, especially after muddy walks (you know what i’m talkn about!)
Any advice on removing stubborn stains? Our lab seems to be a magnet for icky surprises. And also, has anyone tried thier orthopedic range for their senior dogs? Benny’s got a few years on him now and we’re thinking of upgrading his setup.
Lastly, totally feel ya on the toy carnage! I swear Barney and Benny would be best buds given half the chance, ha!

MemberOn the chewy pup note, really recommend getting one of those chewy resistant sprays. Worked wonders with Bailey when she was younger, and saved quite a few objects around the house too! That being said, kudos to Tempur Pedic – this bed has stood up against all her puppy antics like a champ! Enjoy your snoozing pups folks! 🐶💤

MemberTotally agree on the chew resistant spray tip! We’ve had a Tempur Pedic bed for our Golden, Duke, for about two years and he’s only chewed on it once during that time. It was a real ‘oh no’ moment but we got a hold of some of that bitter apple spray and sprayed it all over the bed. Since then, he hasn’t touched it aside from lying down (Whew!).
I also gotta second the love for those washable covers. They’re complete game changers when it comes to keeping things fresh and tidy. I personally prefer darker colors to hide any potential stains, ya know?
Has anyone thought about pairing the bed with a cooling mat duirng the summer months? Duke seems to really like his mat but i’m curious to know how well they’d work together.
Cheers,

MemberNow on the cleanliness front, can’t agree more, those washable covers are freakin’ rad. Rotate em out, easy peasy. Never thought about the chew resistant spray though. Haha that would have been great when Max was younger – loved chewing everything in sight! Old chap has calmed down a bit now, thankfully.
Anyhow, just out of curiosity and maybe to prepare for future puppers, where’d you find good chew resistant sprays? Are they safe for all dogs? Want to make sure I’m not exposing my fur-buddy to anything potentially harmful.

MemberOh man, let me just chime in here – my Springer Spaniel, Max, has been using his Tempur Pedic bed for almost a year now and he LOVES it. Totally gets that “sinking in” feel you know? The chew resistant spray was a lifesaver for us too because Max is definitely a notorious chewer.
And yea, those washable covers…absolutely brilliant! It’s like giving his bed a fresh new look every few days. We’ve got multiple in rotation and it keeps things simple and clean.
Would I recommend the Tempur Pedic dog bed? Without a second thought, yes. It really makes a difference to Max’s comfort and sleep quality. Has anyone tried their heating feature during colder months though? Wondering how well that works or if I should stick with regular heating blankets for Max during the winter.

MemberAnd yep, the price tag gave me a little bit of sticker shock initially, but honestly, it’s been worth every penny. It’s held up for over two years now and hasn’t lost its cushioning at all. Plus Bella having her own space that she feels comfortable in has helped so much with any separation anxiety issues we previously had. It’s definitely a buy-once-cry-once kinda deal. 🐶
I’d not only recommend the Tempur Pedic dog bed for our canine buddies but aslo thier somewhat picky owners too! Do you guys have similar experiences? Or any other brands that compare?
