One thing I’d point out though: the cover isn’t super durable, Daisy’s claws poked a few holes after a few months. An extra cover was a good investment for us – maybe check into that when you order? Has anyone else had trouble with their cover? Or got any smart solutions?

Also taking alternate bid suggestions cause Daisy might need one for our living room too. Cheers everyone!

Has anyone else tried this or any other solution to protect thier Barney bed?

Anyone else had better luck with theirs holding up or is it just a universal Barney bed thing?

Just chimin’ in here – my Terrier mix has a Barney bed that’s held up pretty darn well for about a year now (knock on wood haha). She’s a little on the lighter side though, so maybe the weight of our pups has an impact? For those having trouble with durability, have you thought about checking out the “PoochPlanet” line? definately found them to be sturdy, plus they are eco-friendly which is always a win in my book.

Folks who’ve tried PoochPlanet, how’d it go for your pups?

Wow, so many mixed reviews on this Barney bed! Here’s my two cents… I’ve got a German shepherd mix (you know those guys can be big chewers) and our Barney bed is still pretty intact after 2 solid years. Check for any loose seams – they may start to fray causing the bed to look worn sooner.

Sometimes, if I notice he’s being a little rough with it, I give him a chew toy to divert his attention elsewhere… Works like a charm.👌 mabye try this trick if your pooch is tearing into their Barney too much? And hey, speakin’ of dog beds, has anyone tried the Orvis ones? Hear they’re ultra-durable. Just wonderin’.

Safe to say Barney beds aren’t for every furry pal. 🐾

For those having issues, maybe check if the bed size is right for your pooch? As per my vet, mismatches in bed sizes can lead to discomfort annd might be the reason they’re rejecting or tearing up thier new beds. Anyone else notice this correlation?

However, I noticed that the chew-resistant claim isn’t entirely accurate – Winston did manage to gnaw his way through one corner when he was really bored one afternoon. Guess nothing’s truly chew-proof hah! It’s still holding up well overall though. Has anyone else had this same issue ? Would love to hear your thoughts! Oh, and if you got any tips on discouraging chewing would appreciate it alot too! Cheers everyone 🙂

Did any of you try spritzing the bed with bitter apple spray? Worked wonders for us after Marley’s first few nibbles. Wonder if you’ve had the same experience?

And who knows, maybe there’s some other ultra-durable beds out there we haven’t stumbled upon yet – if yes, please do share.

I’ve got the Barney Dog Bed for about 4 months now and I’d say it’s a huge hit with my golden retriever, Max. He used to constantly move around at night, but ever since we got this bed, he sleeps through the night! The high-density memory foam it comes with has been perfect for him, especially since he’s had joint problems in his old age. Its machine-washable feature is a life-saver too!

Although I did notice the price tag is on the steeper side, 100% worth it for my furry buddy. Anyone else out there tried out other similar beds? mabye something a little lighter on the wallet? Just curious!
