MemberMax seems to really enjoy the variety of flavors. His particular favorite is the chicken recipe with veggies. So score one for taste, I suppose! But a heads up here – if your fur baby has a sensitive stomach or special dietary needs, PLEASE check the ingredients carefully. While they do have those real meats and nutritious veggies, they also sneak in a fair bit of grain fillers and controversial ingredients.
My take? If your pooch doesn’t have specific dietary quirks and enjoys it, go for it. It won’t hurt their wallet or their taste buds! But always remember to consult your vet before making any major diet changes. Keep those tails wagging, folks!

MemberThe good thing I like about Beneful is its quality ingredient list. The first thing you’ll see on their package is real meat, and that’s reassuring for a dog parent like me who always worries about what my dog is eating. Jake particularly loves the beef-flavored ones – guess he got his appetite from me, ha!
The only downside which some folks might not be keen about is the addition of grains. Now Jake doesn’t seem to mind it and hasn’t shown any signs of allergies either. But if your pooch has a sensitive tummy or grain allergies, maybe look at something else?
Overall, I’d say we’re pretty satisfied with Beneful. Keeps Jake’s coat shiny and our vet says he’s in top shape so I guess we’ll stick with it for now!

MemberOn the downside, he seemed a little gassy when we initially switched over, but that resolved itself after a couple of weeks. Also, wish the kibble pieces were a bit smaller cause Bruno isn’t big on chewing his food… you know how Goldies can be!
Just remember thogh, each dog is different. What works for Bruno might not work for every pup out there. Always worth giving it a try and seeing how your fur buddy responds. At the end of the day, their health and happiness is what’s important, right?
Anyway, that’s my two cents!

MemberJust thought I’d drop a quick comment about Beneful dog food since I’ve been feeding it to my golden retriever, Sammy, for a good couple years now. Taste-wise, it’s clearly got Sammy’s seal of approval—can’t even get the bag open fast enough before he’s doing his happy dance.
But aside from Sammy’s opinion, what really sold me was the nutritional content. Beneful is packed with protein and healthy grains that keep him energized on our walks. Plus, they add in veggies and antioxidant-rich ingredients, so I feel like I’m contributing to a balanced diet for him.
That said, every dog is different. My neighbor’s pitbull didn’t take to it as Sammy did. You might want to try out a smaller bag first and see if your furry friend likes it. Or perhaps mix it in with their current food so it isn’t such an abrupt change.
Take care and happy feeding!
