ParticipantHad a similar experience with Good ’n’ Fun dog treats – my Golden Retriever Thor was genuinely interested in them. However, I noticed the size of it: they are quite big for smaller dogs. So be sure to consider that beforehand.
As an alternative, I switched to Zuke’s Mini Naturals, as they are smaller and better suited for trainings too. It’s a bit more pricey but the quality pays off in my humble opinion.
Is anyone else using Zuke’s and observed any kind of difference in their furry friend’s behavior? Would be interesting to know! And remember, if you notice anything unusual, do consult with your vet.

ParticipantI’ve gotta agree with you there, I had a similar experience with Good ’n’ Fun dog treats. My pooch Rhett, an exuberant Lab aged 5, also took to these treats like a bee to honey. They’re the perfect size for him, not too big annd not too small – just right for a quick reward during training sessions or a special treat after bath time.
Price-wise they certainly won’t break the bank, which is always a win in my book. Durability though is a double-edged sword; they last long enough to keep Rhett entertained but can produce quite a mess if left on carpets or fabric surfaces.
Just my two cents worth: it’s best to give these treats in an easy-to-clean area! We usually stick to the kitchen floor or his outdoor run spot. Anyone else have any tips or tricks for keeping treat-time tidy? Or perhaps another type of fun, engaging dog snack you’d recommend?

ParticipantI’ve got to say, I play the “hide and seek” game with these treats and my Dalmatian loves it! She realy enjoys the chewiness and the size is just right for her. They keep her busy for a decent amount of time which is so helpful on rainy days when we can’t go out for long walks. My only concern was about the ingredient list – it seems a bit lengthy with some I don’t quite recognize. Has anyone done a deep-dive into what each of them means? But overall, considering the price and durability of Good ’n’ Fun dog treats, it’s been totally worth it in our experience!

ParticipantI’ve had a great experience with Good ‘n’ Fun dog treats as well. They’re just the right size for my Cocker Spaniel, Oliver, and seem to be quite durable compared to others we’ve tried in the past. Oliver is known to rip through treats very quickly, but these lasted long enough for him to have some serious fun! Plus, they’re not overly pricey which is great for our budget.
Bought them initially to work on his search and retrieve skills, and they have been a game-changer. A word of advice? Use these treats in moderation especially during training – you don’t want your pup getting too full or losing interest because they know there’s always more where that came from!
Anyone else use these treats in training their dogs? I’d love to hear how it helped. Remember, for any dietary concerns, it’s best to consult your vet.

ParticipantAnyone else noticed that your furball turns into a truffle pig when these Good n’ Fun treats are involved? I swear, my old Golden can track one down from a mile away – no matter how well I think I’ve hidden it. They’re a great size for her, annd pretty resilient in the face of her treasure hunting antics! Question tho – is anyone using these treat for dog training purposes? Just curious if they also do double duty as good rewards during training sessions or if they’re too distracting for that. And remember folks, as tasty as they seem to our canine compadres, if you notice any odd reactions consult with your vet.

ParticipantI completely agree with the positive experiences here – my furry pal, a Rottweiler named Rocky, can’t get enough of Good ’n’ Fun dog treats! They’ve successfully served as a training enticement and playtime reward for him. I also noticed that they don’t leave behind any greasy residue like some other brands do, which is definately a plus in my book. As for the price, they are pretty affordable considering the quality and quantity you get. Anyone else find these treats to be an excellent motivator during training sessions?

ParticipantSo, we’re all raving about the Good ‘n’ Fun treats here, huh? I’ve tried them out with my border collie, Fluffy. Yes, she initially turned into a truffle dog, going bonkers for the smells and flavors. Can’t blame her, they do seem appetizing…for dogs.
Yet, I noticed after a few times these treats aren’t exactly the most durable if you’re using them for training purposes – Far too easy for a clever pooch to munch through quickly and be looking up at you for more! Plus, to be honest, pricing could be friendlier on our wallets.
I now use Kong Stuff’N Easy Treats instead – longer lasting and definately getting more bang for my buck! Anyone else tried them or have a budget-friendly recommendation? Remember though, if your pet reacts differently or seems unwell with any new treat, don’t hesitate to consult a vet.

ParticipantI’m a massive fan of Good ‘n’ Fun treats as well! The ingredients seem hearty, and they’re cheap enough that I can sneak in plenty for my Boxer, Bella without questioning my finances. Funny story thouh – Bella is so obsessed with these that she’s started sniffing out the hidden treats around the house like a hound dog on a hunt! We’ve turned it into a fun game; highly recommend trying this if your pup can’t get enough of these Good ‘n’ Fun dog treats. Just see how good they are at hunting them down. Remember to limit the number of treats though, to keep their diet balanced.

ParticipantTotally in agreement here! Our Aussie, Jellybean, is a big fan of Good’n’Fun treats too. They’re the perfect size for medium dogs – not too big or small, and seem pretty hearty material-wise. Our story? Jellybean was super picky and I must’ve tried half the treat aisle before we found these. Surprisingly affordable too, compared to a lot of others. My only advice would be to store them well – left a bag open once and they dried out bit quick. Anyone else had this problem?

ParticipantWell, aren’t we just a bunch of Good ‘n’ Fun aficionados? Not to be a party pooper but, while they’re budget-friendly and look tasty enough, I can’t say mine are fans. Bentley, my Great Dane, practically played soccer with them before deciding they’re not worth the munch. So rather than going the treat route all the time, we’ve been exploring more holistic rewards like extra cuddle time or an extended game of fetch. Might be worth trying for those whose dogs turn their noses up at certain treats.
Anyways I’m curious, do you use Good’n’Fun treats as training rewards or just occasional snacks?08/30/2025 at 8:59 AM #7268fuzzyanimallover3840
ParticipantI’m right there with you guys. Our Boxer, Max, absolutely loves his Good ’n’ Fun treats too! They’ve been especially great for training; the size is just perfect for rewards and they really keep his attention. Sometimes I worry about the rawhide element of the treats though. No problems yet, but if anything changed we’d surely head straight to our vet. Anyone else had any long-term experiences with this product? How do your pups react to them over time?

ParticipantSo, we’re all just gonna gloss over the size inconsistencies of these treats, huh? I’m sure my Dalmatian, Spot, isn’t the only pooch whose treat expectations have been crushed by tapping into a bag only to find it filled with dwarf-sized bits. He gives me this look like ‘Seriously, dad?’ Feel for the big fellas out there! But hey – they do love getting their chompers around the Good ’n’ Fun flavors. Anyone else experience the size thing or is it just us?

ParticipantWhile I understand the love for Good ’n’ Fun treats (and believe me, my Lab mix Daisy is all over them too!), it’s true that their size inconsistency can be a bit bothersome. Just couple days back, dug from a new bag and there was this giganto piece, nearly tripled the normal size! LOL Daisy looked at me like Christmas came early. Anyway, we’ve actually switched over to Benebone Chew Toys recently. Small caveat though – they’re more of a chew toy than a consumable treat. But hey, they last longer and are made with real food ingredients too. Plus, no size surprises! Anyone else tried those?

ParticipantWhile I don’t disagree that Good ’n’ Fun treats do hold a certain appeal to our pups, the size inconsistencies did strike me too. My Beagle, Oliver, ended up with a rather large treat which was tough for him to manage initially. A workaround we found was breaking up the treats into smaller, manageable pieces – works like a charm and also makes the pack last longer! But if you’re looking for pre-sized consistency, we had good luck with the ‘Healthy Paws’ brand. Anyone else tried those?

ParticipantOh, I hear you on the size inconsistency of Good ’n’ Fun treats. My Boxer, Theo, once got a piece that wasn’t bigger than his paw. While he didn’t seem to mind I was a bit disappointed, care about the value after all. So I switched to dividing the larger ones myself, to manage the portions better. Plus, it’s actually kept Theo more interested because the treat sizes change up every time. Maybe give it a try? Of course, no dog treat is perfect and everyone’s experience may differ!
