MemberJust gotta chime in here about the My Pillow Dog Bed – it’s really been a game changer for my little Rex. I swear he hasn’t enjoyed sleep so much before. It’s like he sinks into it, snuggles up and is out cold in no time flat. He’s an elderly Lab with hip issues so seeing him comfortable and cozy feels like a big win.
Also, the best thing about these beds is that they’re 100% machine wash and dryable which makes life easier- ideal if your pooch is as mud-magnet as mine! The customer service is honestly fantastic too, quick answers with a real human touch.
Did anyone else notice any changes in their dog’s sleeping patterns or mood? Just curious to know if this has been the same experience for everyone else on here!

MemberThose fellas at My Pillow did something right, wonder if it’s that inner core they talk about. Anyway, anyone considering an upgrade should seriously think about giving it a shot. We’ve got 3 dogs (14 years of dog-owner wisdom here, people!), annd I’m thinking of getting another one for our terrier Bobby.
Our only struggle has been keeping them clean – any tips?

MemberBefore that, we were constantly changing beds cuz he’d chew them off or they’d get super flat within weeks. MyPillow seems to resist his love of chewing annd stay puffy longer.
Anyone experimenting with other beds that work well for chewers? Benny is a Chewasaurus Rex when he gets going…
Mighty curious, any of you tried sprinkling your dog’s bed with calming essential oils? Lavender maybe? Did it make any difference? Benny seems to dislike any smell on his bed so far but maybe we just haven’t found the right one haha! Would appreciate insights! Cheers!

MemberI had a similar issue where we were going through beds like crazy because he’d either destroy them or they’d lose their fluffiness in no time. But I’ve noticed with this one, even after several washes, the bed has retained its shape and softness.
However, I must admit that it is on a bit pricier side tho’.. Anyone here found good deals on these? Or perhaps an affordable alternative that holds up as well? Excited to hear your ideas!

MemberI feel your pain about the bed-destruction issue tho – been there, done that! Was it the same case with the My Pillow bed? And one thing I’ve learnt is to do some training work with Rocky on not chewing his beds (easier said than done, believe me!). Has anyone else found something that’s worked better for them?
Side note: if My Pillow ever makes a version with built-in chew toys, sign me up pronto, haha!

MemberHere’s a tip for those whose pups are still prone to destruction – try distracting them with chew toys or bones. It diverts their destructive tendencies elsewhere… saved us a few pillow dog beds that way! Anybody else got any other strategies to save the dog beds from our little Claws of Destruction? 😂

MemberQuick question though – anyone had any luck cleaning this particular dog bed? Daisy can get pretty muddy on her walks and I’m wondering if this is going to be a nightmare clean job or if it’s as simple as chucking it in the wash. Any input would be fab!

MemberAs for the cleaning part, we’ve tried washing it in warm water and mild soap (nothing harsh). Air dry it afterward though, it helps to maintain the fluffiness that our Daisy seems to adore.
On another note, anyone else find their dogs sleeping more often than usual on this bed? jsut curious.

MemberTo clean it up, we’ve had best luck using spot cleaners and baby wipes for quick fixes. For deep cleaning, we get it dry cleaned once every few months maybe four times a year tops. Ours held up pretty well this way.
Despite all of that, I would recommend anyone with heavy chewers to maybe consider a chew-resistant bed like the K9 Ballistics Chew Proof Elevated Dog Bed. It’s built specifically to withstand monster chompers!
BTW Has anyone tried any fabric sprays with this bed? Im thinking about a little extra freshness could be good. Thoughts?

MemberFor cleaning, I usually just throw the cover in the wash on a delicate cycle with some mild detergent (I actually use Dreft baby detergent) and air dry after. Seems to do the trick without causing any issues, and it’s good as new again. That said, has anyone had any shrinking problems in drying process? If so, how’d you work around that?

MemberThat said, it’s not for everyone. If you’ve got a younger or particularly destructive dog (I’m looking at you, husky owners!) this might not be the best choice. It’s kinda pricy and while Benny can’t really do much damage to his, I reckon a typical frisky puppy might tear this thing up pretty quick.
Cleaning is fine for me – baby wipes are my go-to as well, but if we’re talking BIG messes, dismantling it all for a serious wash can be a bit of a task.
Anyone else used the My Pillow Dog Bed for an older dog with health issues? How’d it go? And does anybody recommend any super durable beds for those of us with chew-happy pups?

MemberHeh, definitely agree on the cleaning part – it’s simple as pie with this My Pillow dog bed. Just whip off that cover and into the washer it goes without so much fuss, perfect for us pup-parents who don’t have any extra time to scrub off all the muck. And honestly, ever since luging my Frenchie onto the comfy cloud of this thing? She sleeps like a baby now! That said though, it’s not the best fit for more feisty fur-kids; my cousin got one for his tantrum-loving Terrier and… let’s just say it didn’t end well. Guess ya can’t win em all🤷♂️ Anyone else got misbehaving mutts who found ways to tear through these? I’d love to hear some preventatives if you’ve got ‘em!

MemberAgree on the cleaning part too – it’s soooo much easier with this one. I just throw the whole thing in the washer and voila, good as new. But hey if you’ve got a chewing pup around (oh I’ve been there with Max), might wanna think twice cause the stuffing inside can make quite a mess! Learned that the heard way… 😅
Other than that, honestly a game changer for us and Max’s sleep quality. He doesn’t wake up frequently at night anymore but instead, snores comfortably till morning which is great for him.. and ahm.. maybe not so great for me and my wife sometimes! 🙉😆

MemberTo the point on cleaning — couldn’t agree more. Others might scorn at throwing the entire bed into the washing machine, but let me tell ya’, it’s a life saver. Who knew a dog bed could be this low-maintenance?
Anyone here tried using special sprays or sth similar to make the bed even more appealing to our four-legged friends? Could do with some tricks from more seasoned vets… 😀
