Post: Oh boy, I couldn’t agree more with you! I got my Bichon Frise, Daisy, a fringe dog bed about a year ago and she is absolutely in love with it. The soft fringes actually give her the feeling of being snuggled up next to another pack member, or so my vetrinarian told me. The fabric holds up well against her little paws too 😂 . Just an insider tip : if your pup gets over-excited with the fringes and starts tearing them apart, just some bitter apple spray should do the trick. Has anyone else tried these beds with bigger breeds? Expecting some larger than life stories! 😉

Oh boy, I couldn’t agree more with you!

You hit the nail on the head there buddy! The only caveat? Cleaning can be a bit tricky , especially with long haired dogs (luckily not an issue fr me). But honestly even considering that, would still recommend it hands down!

Has anyone tried any of these washable covers yet? You know, the ones that you can just slip over your existing dog bed? Thinking about giving one of those a whirl instead of investing in another full-on bed. Any recommendations folks?

Now, about the washable covers – yep, I’ve tried one of those too. SO much easier to clean, just unzip and pop it in the wash. It’s been an absolute lifesaver, especially during shedding season. Anyone else dealing with fur madness right now?

One thing though – anyone here tried those self-heating fringe beds? I’ve heard good stories but haven’t given them a go yet. My old boy likes a warm spot… any thoughts or experiences?

P.S: Don’t forget to give your pooch some extra cuddles today. They deserve it!

Do you guys find that the tassels on these fringe beds get all matted and weird after a while? My Joey absolutely loves his bed but he’s constantly playing with those fringes… maybe it’s some kind of pup fidget thing, idk. Anyways, any tips on keeping them fluffy would be much appreciated!

And has anyone found a good way to clean the actual bed itself once the cover is off? You know – beyond the regular vacuuming and spot cleaning… Is it ok to put it in the washing machine without wrecking it? Just curious! Help me out here y’all.

Charlie sleeping there with that fancy tassel-fringe looking like he’s on a renaissance painting. But oh boy, when things started matting? Less glamorous. Let’s not even get started on him devouring the tassels (Fun Fact: They’re not edible, Charlie!).

Washable covers are my lifesaver though, cleaning them is a breeze compared to wrestling the whole bed into the washing machine (don’t ask). For those who mentioned these covers getting matted too, how often do you wash yours? I usually toss mine in every two weeks or so and haven’t had any issues yet.

And yeah @PawsNCuddles, those fringes can get kinda matted from time to time (and by ‘time to time’, I mean once a freaking week). But honestly, I wouldn’t trade it – looking at Daisy lounging all day on that fancy piece is totally worth every minute I spend untangling them. Little advice for others considering buying one – deep cleanings are easier if you have a detangling spray handy!

@DogDad77 – Totally agree on the washable covers too! Such a relief when it comes to cleanup. Life’s way too short to stress about dog hair, amirite? Anyone else got a tip for maintaining these majestic beauties??🤷‍♂️

I’d agree with some of the previous posters that these beds might not be as durable as they seem. But if you’ve got a less destructive pup, it may still work out (and look cute). Just make sure to check regularly for loose strands – we don’t want any accidental ingestion, right?

Has anyone tried any solid alternative brands they can recommend? And did you face similar frindge-related issues too?

Now durability? Different story my friends. This thing’s held up about as well as a chocolate teapot in a sauna. You know those delightful little fringes? Turns out they make for a smashing play-toy-slash-snack whenever Loki’s bored. Not great. Overall, solid aesthetics, comfort ain’t too shabby but doesn’t seem built for wear and tear – or pups with an adventurous streak!

I guess agree with whoever mentioned earlier not all that glitters is gold. Or fringe as it were hehe… Anyone else with chewers had any luck keeping their bed intact? Would love to hear any miracle stories or tips!

Mine looked like it was drop-kicked by a kangaroo after only month and that’s saying something because my furkid ain’t exactly Godzilla with a chew fetish. We’d have been better off with a nice sturdy bed– y’know, somthing like Kong beds or even Orvis. They may not make your living room look like something out of a Home & Dog magazine, but hey, durability goes a long way when your pupper has mistaken their bed for an oversized chew toy!

But still curious about one thing though… Any folks had a different experience with these fray-prone cushions? Or is it just universal that fringe = fancy shred fest?
