I admit, it’s slightly more pricey than your average dog food brands, but in my opinion, it’s well worth the investment considering the assurance of quality nutrition for our furry pals. Even our vet gave it a thumbs up.
The best part is – Charlie just loooooves it! When he sees me with that bag in my hand, his tail starts wagging like crazy. He was on another brand prior to this and showed signs of sluggishness and bloating. Switched him over to Tender and True Chicken & Liver recipe, and boom – he’s become more energetic and playful.
One tip: Start slow when transitioning them over to this food so their tummies have time to adjust. Happy feeding!

Let’s not even start on the ingredients list – organic chicken, no artificial pres stuff. It rolls off my tongue better than my own groceries do! But look out for your wallet; it’s pretty much a print-your-own-money situation – that’s the only downside.
So ya, if you want a dog that prances around like they’re walking on clouds and you have a money tree in the backyard…10/10 would recommend Tender and True. Am I throwing my paycheck at Spot’s fancy meals? Maybe so but hey, nothing too posh for my pooch 😉
Oh, I’ve got to tell you, my lab absolutely loves Tender and True! I switched over about six months ago after doing some research into healthier options. TBH, it’s been a total game changer for us.
First off, the quality of ingredients? Top-notch! No GMOs and everything is organic. To see meat as the first ingredient instead of some cumbersome grain or by-product was a breath of fresh air.
And let me tell ya – my pup can’t get enough! She practically inhales her meals every day. It’s funny, because she used to pick at her food before but now it’s if she can’t wait to eat during mealtime! 😂
