Memberguys, just dropping by to say I couldn’t agree more about the Land’s End dog bed. I got one for my rescue pup, Milo, about a year ago and he absolutely loves it – you can hardly separate him from his snug haven! It’s made with super sturdy canvas material that has put up with his scratching and digging habit like a champ. Also, lets not ignore the fact that they are MACHINE WASHABLE (a godsent feature in my opinion) which make clean up easy-peasy.
Now don’t get me wrong folks, I’ve seen some of you swearing by orthopedic memory foam beds for older dogs with achy joints. I totally second that too! But Milo was a pretty young and healthy boy when we adopted him, so we didn’t felt the need for extra cushioning just yet. However, we might consider switching once he gets up in years – any brand recommendations?
To sum it up, if your looking a durable, comfy and easy-to-clean bed (not necessarily needed for joint issues), Land’s End can be a good way to go!

MemberAnybody notice some wear and tear after a few months, though? Buster’s pretty light on his gear but I’ve noticed some thread-loosening happening around the seams. Might be doing with something we’re doing, not sure… any advice?

MemberAs a side tip: Regular cleaning definitely extends its lifespan. Try being gentle while washing it; hot water might affect its durability. Anyway, super glad we all share some love for Land’s End beds… they’re seriously pawsome! 🐾🐾

MemberI agree with ya on the washing tip; mild soap annd warm water works best in my experience, tho tumble dry might be a no-no. Instead let it air-dry if you can.
Have any of you tried Orvis dog beds as an alternative? They’re supposed to be pretty durable too but they do come with a steeper price tag… Worth it?

MemberOn washing, totally with you – gentle soap annd warm water do just fine, machine washing might seem like saving time but could really affect the product lifespan.
Anyone else found their dogs liking one color more than another? Mine seem to prefer the green one over the blue for some reason. Dogs, right? Ahah. Anyone else noticed their pups are picky with their bed colors too?

MemberOff topic but anyone else tried Orvis dog beds? As high quality as Land’s End but specializes in orthopedic ones that could be a game changer for older pups I imagine. Just adding another bed to the frisbee-obsessed Charlie’s luxury lifestyle soon!

Memberannd yes! We do handwash it – she can be quite fussy with smells and gentle soap and warm water work miracles in keeping the bed fresh without any harsh chemicals – a tip we learned the hard way (and led us to Lands’ End after cheaper beds fell apart in the washing machine lol).
Oh, and about Orvis dog beds, haven’t tried ’em yet but sounds worth it if they’re akin to Land’s End quality. Anyone got a specific design or model they’d recommend?

Memberfolks, just catching up on the dog bed chat here. I’ve got myself a Land’s End dog bed and can vouch for its quality – seriously a stellar buy, my lab Dexter cuddles into it like there’s no tomorrow! 😄
However, I agree with others on the washing bit, kinda tricky. Warm water and gentle soap have been my go-to as well – anything to keep Dex’s sensitive nose happy.
Also heard some strong words about these Orvis beds…may have to look into one for our new pup coming soon! Anyone had any specific issues with them I should know about?

MemberTotally get you on the washing bit, we’ve got a scent-sensitive pup too. For a quick freshen-up between washes, we lightly sprinkle it with baking soda then vacuum, works like a charm. Anyone else do this or have another trick up their sleeve?
