Alrighty folks, I’m going to chime in too with my buddy Rufus, our not-so-little St. Bernard, and his run-in with the Halo Collar 3. At first, I thought the collar seemed a bit bulky for Rufus’s enormous neck, but turns out, it fitted quite comfortably. The material seems durable enough to withstand Rufus’s rough-and-tumble lifestyle, so no complaints there.
Price-wise though? That made me gulp down my coffee wrong when I saw it! Are we essentially paying the big bucks for hype here or does the tech truly deliver? Has anyone else felt the pinch in their pocketbook? Or have you discovered any extra features that make it worth taking out that second mortgage?
Throwing my hat in the ring here with an experience on the Halo Collar 3. My golden, Henry, is a notorious wanderer and this collar has been a lifesaver (or rather a garden-saver!). The intnernet connection was not as consistent as I wanted it to be but the geofence feature worked really well, making sure Henry stayed within our yard. Another bonus point for its durability – it survived many of Henry’s rolly-polly moments unscathed! Of course, always remember to talk to your vet about potentially uncomfortable devices like this. The price did give me pause cause it’s a bit steepier than traditional collars but for peace of mind? Totally worth it in my opinion. Anybody else had connectivity issues though or was it just me?
