MemberHowever, I have noticed that after several washes, the filling inside started to get lumpier?
Has anyone else experienced this or did I just get a dud? I could have possibly washed it wrong even tho I followed the instructions clearly. Any suggestions on how to keep it plush and comfy? Thanks in advance!09/24/2024 at 8:01 AM #5220sunny_petlover_1464
MemberI agree it’s a super comfy bed for our fur buddies though, my Golden Retriever absolutely adores hers, she’s snoozing on it as I type this in fact. Have you tried fluffing up the bed by hand post-wash? It realy helps distribute that filling a bit better. Anyhow, despite the minor hiccups love the squishmellow beds! Def Worth every penny.

MemberPro tip though: tried separating the filling and fluffing it up a bit post wash and it seemed to even things out for the most part. Might be worth a shot if your pup’s Squishmellow turns lumpy! Anyone else have any good care tips for these beds?

MemberJust a quick heads-up tho, if your pooch is a bit destructive like my younger Border Collie is (she loves disemboweling plushies 🙄), might be worth considering some more durable options as well. Went through two squishmallows in less than a month!
On the brighter side, anyone tried their hands on or rather, paws on 😀 the chew-proof K9 ballistics beds? I heard they’re pretty sturdy but would love real experiences from you guys. How do they hold up long-term?
And yea I absolutely agree with fluffing it up after washes , hehe makes it looks almost new!

MemberOn another note, any of you guys experienced any issue while washing it? Mine’s quite durable but it took ages for it to dry completely last time. Be hilarious if there were a ‘Squishmellow bed dryer’ on the market too! 🙃
Anyway, just curious if anyone has gotten around this? Maybe some fancy ‘dog-owner’ hack that I am unaware of…

MemberDid the washing thing a couple of times already. I just tossed it in the machine on a gentle cycle with cold water, hung it up to dry and voila! Still good as new. Did you try machine washing it or were thinking of handwashing? Just curious, ain’t no judgement here pal!
Oh, quick tip tho! Use a pet-friendly detergent if possible. It can help avoid any skin irritation for your fur-friend later on.

MemberI couldn’t agree more with how durable they are too, absolutely worth every penny if you ask me. Has anyone tried the Squismellow beds for larger dogs, though? My brother is considering getting one for his Great Dane and we’re curious to know if it’ll hold up.

Memberthere folks, I gotta jump in here annd sing praises for the Squishmellow dog bed too. My aging golden retriever, Bailey, absolutely adores his. He’s got a case of arthritis and this bed has been quite easy on his joints, which is a huge win in my book! Not to mention the durability mentioned – totally stands up to Bailey’s love of rough-housing with his toys while lounging. Money well spent, if you ask me. Anyone else find that their pets are sleeping longer or more deeply with these beds?
