As a note for those of you concerned about cleaning – the covers are machine washable and they’ve survived plenty of spins in my washer. One thing I learned over time was that regular vacuuming really helps keep it fresh longer.

Has anyone tried using an additional blanket or heating pad during winters? How did your fur babies react? ————————————————————————–

If anyone’s on the fence about getting one, just know that they really do hold up well over time, even with some intense doggy love! The added bonus is that when you have guests over, it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in your living room, which I definitely appreciate. Anybody else notice how well these blend with home decor?

Also if you’re like me cleaning regularly (allergies here), just remember to use a gentle washer cycle for the cover to keep it looking nice. They’re sturdy but not completely invincible!

That said, tho, if you’re not ready to shell out premium dog bed money, I’d suggest looking into the FurHaven Orthopedic Dog Bed. Much cheaper option and still pretty good for your pooch’s comfort; my friend has one and swears by it.

Also, as a side note to folks who were mentioning cleaning: isn’t it so much easier when the covers are machine washable? Saves a ton of time.

Quick tip: Do measure your pooch before ordering, their sizing guide is spot-on. Anyone else found this or was it just Buster being the perfect Orvis model? 🐶

Pro tip though: wash it on a gentle cycle to make sure it lasts long. They say these things are pretty hardy, but trust me, you don’t wanna risk it. Defo worth the investment – who else thinks sleeping dogs look even cuter in these posh Orvis beds? 😂 🐾

Had a bit of a hard time figuring out what size to get initially (Lexi is kinda on the cusp between small and medium), but took measurements as suggested here and voila! The sizing guide was right on the money. Anyone else who’s kinda in the same boat? Did you opt for the bigger or smaller size?

Bottom line, Orvis beds are worth every penny – a little pricey maybe but hey, nothing but the best for our fur babies, right?

On another note, I’ve seen quite a few folks debating btween different Orvis dog bed models. From my personal experience, the Deep Dish Dog Bed with Memory Foam has been a winner. It’s super cozy and supportive for Chester’s joints.

As an alternative though, you might want to check out beds from Big Barker if your bud is on the larger side or has joint issues. They’re designed specifically for bigger dogs and have crucial orthopedic feaures. Hope this helps! How old is Lexi by the way?

Just last year, I bought an Orvis for our retriever mix Chloe who looves sprawling out while snoozing. We went with the Deep Dish model and it’s been a life-changer, seriously. Chloe is far more rested and relaxed after her naps – I firmly believe because she has her own little luxe spot.

To the rest of you though, if you’re still debating models, have you thought about your pup’s sleeping habits? For sprawlers and dogs who like a leil extra security, I’d recommend the Bolster. For those in love with their comfort, Deep Dish is a no-brainer! What say? Do you think sleeping style should factor into this whole Orvis choice?

On the flip side though, cleaning it was kind of a hassle. The cover takes forever to dry once you’ve washed it, so maybe having a second cover on hand wouldn’t be such a bad idea? Just something to keep in mind for those debating between models.

As for you Chloe fans – retrievers do love their space! Can totally see why an Orvis makes sense for them sprawlers!🐕‍🦺🛏
