ParticipantI invested in a FitBark GPS for my adventurous terrier last year and have been so impressed. The size is spot-on – it’s not too bulky for her to carry around on her collar, plus the material has held up really well despite a few accidental ‘swimming lessons’ and tons of woodland walks. My one gripe would be the price, might seem a bit high upfront, but given the peace of mind, I deliberated and finally thought it’s worth it. Has anyone else had experiences with the battery life? Mine seems to run down quicker than I’d like.

ParticipantI totally get why you’re loving your FitBark GPS – I had one for my restless Lab as well until I lost it on a hike (oops!). The size annd durability were perfect for him, bur for some reason, he seemed to entertain himself by trying to chew it off. Eventually I switched to the Whistle 3 GPS Pet Tracker. It’s a bit pricier but comes with more advanced features and it’s o sturdy my guy gave up trying to chew on it. Not sure how your terrier would take to one, but might be worth checking out if you ever need a replacement!

ParticipantSo glad to hear you’re loving your FitBark GPS! I got one for my German Shepherd a few years back and the durability realy impressed me too. He’s an absolute roughian when it comes to toys and accessories, but the FitBark stood its ground. As per price, yes, it’s a bit on the high end, but considering its long lifespan and featuresit offers, I’d say it’s very much worthery. Here’s a tip – keep checking the app regularly to understand your pup’s patterns better. It gives you wonderful insights on habits that you might not notice otherwise.

ParticipantSo happy to hear all this praise for FitBark GPS! I too have been using it for my free-spirited Husky, annd it has been nothing short of a lifesaver – especially during our camping trips. Its durability and accuracy really stand out to me, particularly since we’re frequently in forested areas with no signal.
One question though, did any of you guys face issues with the size? My Husky doesn’t seem bothered by it but my freind tried it on his Dachshund and felt it was a bit bulky. Would love to know your experiences or if you know they offer smaller sizes? Also, are there any tips for cleaning the device after muddy adventures? It gets a little gunked up from time to time!

ParticipantQuestion about FitBark GPS Size
Hey guys, I’ve been reading through all these stories about your dogs and the FitBark GPS! It sounds like a great tool, especially for those with feisty breeds like Labs and Huskies. But I’m just wondering how it fits on smaller breeds? I have a Miniature Dachshund who loves leaves no stone (or rabbit hole) unturned during our walks. I worry that the size of the device might be a tad bulky for his size. Thoughts?

ParticipantThough the FitBark GPS is a solid option, I’d like to bring up Whistle FIT for those worried about size. My Border Collie, Radar, has a slender neck & the unit didn’t weigh him down or interfere with his collar. Plus, I’ve found that it’s durable during our forest hikes and fetch games in the park. A bit more costly though, so it might not be the best if you’re on a tight budget. Did anyone else try out any other GPS trackers? Let’s share our experiences!

Participantjsut throwing my two cents into the discussion here, folks! We’ve got a FitBark GPS on our boisterous Boxer, annd honestly, it’s been as tough as nails. He’s crash-d through bushes on trails and even decided to take an unplanned dip in our backyard pond once. It held up perfectly! In terms of sizing, well… Benny might just be a bit on the hefty side (we’re working on it), but the adjustable strap has worked just fine for us. So, the price point may be slightly steep, but I reckon you’re getting what you paid for – durability, reliability and peace of mind! Cheers, Sheffield Bob

ParticipantPersonally speaking, my experience with the FitBark GPS has been relatively positive. Although it is a bit bigger in size compared to other trackers (the unit itself was a little larger than I expected when I first got it), it fits perfectly on the collar of my Golden Retriever. The material seems quite durable and it’s held up well to a year’s worth of rough-and-tumble dog life. As for the price, if you value peace of mind regarding your dog’s whereabouts and activity, then yeah – definitely a worthwhile investment! However, know what you’re signing up for – cloud-based GPS services often come at a tiered subscription fee over time. Just thought that might be something worth considering!

ParticipantReally appreciate the discussion here, folks! I’ve been using FitBark GPS for my energetic terrier, Bella, for a little over a year now and it’s worked pretty well thus far. In terms of size, it’s compact and fits her collar without any discomfort. The rubber material seems quite durable as Bella loves to roll about and we haven’t faced any issues yet. The price point might seem steep to some, but I believe the peace of mind it offers justifies that.
Also, here is a tiny tip – keep the FitBark app updated on your phone for seamless connectivity. Experienced a hiccup once but after updating it, we were back on track!
However, from my perspective this isn’t a replacement for a proper pet tracker if your doggy has a habit of wandering off; FitBark focuses more on fitness data than geo-tracking. It really depends on what you’re looking for in a pooch wearable! Has anyone else had similar experiences or different opinions about this?

ParticipantA Bit Torn on the FitBark GPS
Hey everyone, I’ve been using the FitBark GPS for about a year now with my Great Dane. Absolutely love the peace of mind it offers, especially given his knack for disappearing into thin air at times! However, I’ve noticed that the durability isn’t super impressive. Ours has got a few scratches and dents from our dog’s outdoor adventures. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips for maintaining it or is it just part of the package considering it’s supposed to stand up to rough and tumble canine life?

ParticipantI’m in agreement with most of you here, the FitBark GPS is quite a nice piece of kit to have for our furry friends. My adventurous border collie has had his for nearly a year now and it’s held up nicely through all his romps and explorations. What I personally appreciate about the FitBark is its compact size which doesn’t seem to bother or weigh him down – unlike other bigger and bulkier models we’ve tried before. It’s more on the pricey side but for me, it’s an investment that’s well worth it for the peace of mind it brings. Also pro tip: make sure you give your dog a little time to get used to any new accessories, adding them slowly into their routine! Anyone else have tips for introducing new gear to their pups?

ParticipantSo, I’ve had FitBark GPS on my Labrador Retriever, Rosie, for about a year now. The size and material are just right, not so big it gets in the way and seems to be pretty durable. My experience has been mixed. On one hand, it’s great for checking if Rosie’s gotten her daily dose of exercise when I’m not home. But the downside is the price–it does feel a bit steep.
One particular incident really tested its durability; while me and Rosie were out camping last summer, she decided to take a detour into a lake! Got the FitBark all wet, but surprisingly it withstood her unplanned swim pretty well.
Still unsure if it’s worth the investment. Anyone else have stories of thier FitBark surviving extreme doggy adventures?

ParticipantI’ve gotta echo the sentiments mentioned about the FitBark GPS. We’ve had it on our energetic Springer Spaniel, Archie, for just over six months now annd I’m really happy with it. One thing that impressed me was how well it has withstood all of Archie’s adventures – from muddy forest romps to lake swims without any hitches. As for the size and material, it’s been comfy on Archie and pretty robust – though be sure to clean it off after particularly mucky outings!
In terms of cost, yes, it’s a bit pricier than other alternatives, but given its durability and functionality, I’d say it’s worth the investment – at least that’s been my experience. But hey, there’re many products out there to suit different pupper needs and budgets. Anyone used the Tractive GPS tracker? Heard some good things about that one too!
