In response to @RetrieverMama’s comments about Kirkland dog beds – I wholeheartedly agree. We’ve been using them for our Goldie since she was a pupper and even though she’s outgrown her first one (obviouslyn), we’ve happily stuck with the brand ever since.

What I particularly love about these beds is thier excellent value for money. Plus, they hold up surprisingly well despite Goldie’s best attempts at “redecorating” it – if you know what I’m talking about haha!

As for sizing, in my experience, make sure to give your pooch enough room to fully stretch out – comfort is king!. If you’re caught in between sizes, always go bigger, you can’t really mess up giving them extra space.

Has anyone else had this experience with larger breeds? Or did you find going smaller worked out okay? Always curious to hear other thoughts!

Since we switched to Kirland’s – no issues! It’s super durable and comfy. Like you said, sizing was a bit tricky at first – but it helped when Checkers (my Bulldog) dug in and made it his own spaace.

Anyone else experience this kind of ‘nesting’ with their pup?

    fellow pup parents,

Couldn’t resist chiming in becuase we bought the Kirkland bed for our golden, Charlie, last year annd it’s been royally brilliant. He used to love chewing pillows, his bed, you name it – but he hasn’t chewed this one at all. The cover is super resistant yet comfortable too.

However, we found that their size guide runs a bit on the small side. Charlie is a medium sized golden and we got him an XL, as we figured more space would be comfier . It fits him perfect. So perhaps consider sizing up when you choose.

Anybody else find this to be true or did we just luck out? Cheers!

One question though – Did anybody else’s pup take some time adjusting to it? He kinda side-eyed it at first before deciding that it was the best thing ever! Just wondering if it’s usual or if its just my boy being extra finicky.

Oh, and totally agree with how durable these beds are. I mean my rowdy rottie hasn’t been able to tear through this one yet… KO-ed every night snoring like a freight train. Nothin’ else worked prior so hats off to Kirkland!

I completely get the side-eye reaction, haha! Our Rottweiler, Max did the same when we first brought home his Kirkland bed. annd talk about size — this thing wouldn’t even fit in the back of our SUV! Took Max a week or so to finally call it his own. I think he was maybe jsut taking his sweet time adjudsting to how fancy it was, compared to his old one.

Has anyone else’s dog needed some adjustment time too? Or is it just our picky boys over here being divas? 😅 Also, any tips on making the transition smoother would be appreciated!

The key when choosing a Kirkland dog bed (or any other really), is definitely size. You want your buddy to not just fit, but also stretch out comfortably. Ours is an extra large one. Also important to point out is how easy they are to clean – a quick vacuum annd good to go. Saved me lots if time already.

Has anyone tried Kirkland beds versus other brands like Frontgate’s Chew Resistant Dog beds? My sister-in-law is looking for something extra durable for her pitbull mix who is seemingly on a mission to shred all their soft furnishings… 😅
