MemberI have to agree with some of you who mentioned the cover quality, it’s outstanding and the personalization option is a nice touch too. We all know how much dogs love to make their possessiveness known.
And for anyone pn the fence about this, here’s a tip: lookout for an Orvis sale, got mine at a sweet discount without compromising on quality. Can’t beat that. Anyone else catch any good deals out there?

MemberYa know, I gotta put my two cents in here on the Orvis dog bed. We snagged one for our border collie mix last year and I swear to you, he sleeps better than I do these days, haha. The memory foam really offers great support that has helped with his arthritis.
On the subject of covers – they are astoundingly durable and easy to wash; no struggling with hard-to-remove covers here. Love that you can personalize it too, makes a fun gift for your fur-babies 🐾
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! The price might be a bit steep for some, but for the quality, comfort and longevity you get, we think it was well worth the investment. Any of you guys thinking of getting one as a Christmas gift?

MemberAnd yeah, regarding that whole cover quality thing – seriously impressive! It’s survived Brutus’ constant nibbling and an accidental coffee spill or two. Quick tip for everyone: they’re machine washable (as long as you’ve got the space!) which has honestly been a life saver on more than one occasion.
Anyone know if they sell these bad boys in brick-and-mortar stores, or is it online only? Just curious as I was thinking about getting a second one for my parents’ pup for Christmas!

MemberBut to mix things up a bit – anyone considered Ruffwear? A little pricy like Orvis but they make some seriously rugged gear. Perfect if you’ve got an outdoorsy hound who loves draggin’ their bed around everywhere (yes, Ginger I’m looking at you 🙄). Cheers!

MemberAs for Ruffwear, glanced over it few times but never really took the plunge doubt the price-tag. Worth it you say? Might give it a shot.
Any experiences about how Ruffwear beds handle larger breeds? Just curious since Coop isn’t exactly petite 🐶.

MemberJust wanted to chime in with my two cents on the Orvis bed. I’ve had one for my golden retriever, Bailey, for a couple of years now, and let me tell you – it’s worth every penny! That thing is sturdy af and comfy as it gets. I won’t deny the price tag gave me a mini heart attack at first, lol, but since then it has withstood Bailey’s zoomies and digging rituals better than any other bed we’ve tried before.
As for Ruffwear…it’s been on my radar too but just like some of you’ve shared, it’s the price that makes me hesitate. Wondering if its durability and comfort aligns with Orvis though? Any insight from anyone who has used both?
Edited to add: forgetting to mention how much Bailey loves his Orvis – might’ve seen dogs who couldn’t care less bout their beds but not him! Every night he’s straight tl bed as soon as he’s done his last patrol around the yard.

MemberAlternatively, been hearing good things about those “Big Barker” ones too. Might give that a go next time… if Miss-fussy-pants ever decides she’s done with this one!
