ParticipantWow, NutriSource dog treats. Now, there’s a trip down memory lane! My gentle giant, Hank – a Saint Bernard if you will, was absolutely bonkers for these treats. The size of these nibbles are perfecto, especially for the big boys and girls out there with a major chew drive. Believe me they’re durable enough to give ’em a good gnawing session, yet not as tough as rawhide. Price wise… well they ain’t cheap, but then Hank would tell ya that quality has a price tag (if he could talk, I should say!).
Story time: I remember this one day we were training in the park; he wouldn’t even sniff at any other treat once he had been spoiled with NutriSource! It surely made getting him learning those new tricks much easier.
Got a tip from yours truly – always have fresh water around when treat-time rolls around. You know, just cause of how thirsty they can get after savory snackin’.
Anyone else find that these treats were absolute game changers in their training routine?

Participantthere, I’ve been feeding my border collie, Bailey, NutriSource treats for quite a while and she absolutely adores them! The size is perfect for her, but I can understand how it might not be ideal for larger breeds. They are also a pretty good bang for your buck – a little pricier than some treats, but you’re paying for quality. There’s just one thing, though: the packaging could definitely use some work as the zip-lock at the top easily loses its functionality over time. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
By the way, if you’re looking to mix things up, try giving Whole Earth Farms treats a go – Bailey favours their chicken & sweet potato recipe as well. Anyhow, always feel free to experiment and find what best fits your furry friend’s preferences. Aren’t all these food choices part of the fun of having dogs? 😊

ParticipantI must say, I’ve been a fan of NutriSource dog treats for many years. Our old Boxer, Brutus, was super picky about his snacks but the beef and rice variant from this brand just stole his heart instantly. The size of these treats is perfect, not too big and not too small, making them ideal for training or as a little reward. As for pricing, considering their quality and the fact that they are grain-free and made in the USA, I think it’s more than reasonable. I’d highly suggest introducing these treats slowly if your dog has a sensitive stomach though. Any drastic changes in diet can lead to upset tummies, so it’s always best to start slow. But Bailey loves ’em huh? Have you tried any other flavor variants with her?

ParticipantNutriSource Treat Size: Perfect for a Big Dog?
Hey everyone, I have a Great Dane named Rufus and, let me tell you, he can gulp down treats like it’s nobody’s business. Now, my question is about the size of these NutriSource treats. Are they big enough for a large breed like Rufus or would he just eat them without even realizing?
I’ve always found that larger treats work better for training with Rufus since small ones hardly register as a reward to him. On the other hand, I’ve heard so many great things about NutriSource. All input is welcomed! Any other big dog owners who use NutriSource treats?

ParticipantI’ve got this adorable Mastiff, Molly, who just tears into any treat she gets. Bought NutriSource ones thinking they might be more durable with their firmer texture, and hey, I wasn’t wrong! They stand up to her chewin’ quite well. Pricey? Yeah, but for the quality and durability I think they’re well worth it. Molly seems to agree too! Just make sure your dog isn’t too hasty; even these tougher treats need some careful chewing. As always, keep a close eye when it’s treat time!

ParticipantMy Lab Loved NutriSource Treats, But Don’t Forget to Check Size
Body: I can definitely relate to those of you with large dogs. My Labrador, Bella, can chew through most treats in seconds flat. NutriSource is a game changer though – not only do they last longer, but she also really enjoys them! The size and durability are great for big breeds and they’re reasonably priced compared to other premium treats on the market. Just make sure to check the treat size before purchasing for your own canine companion. Bella is a medium-sized Lab and some Nutrisource treats were a bit larger than expected. Overall, absolutely a good buy for us!.

ParticipantI’ve also had a great experience with NutriSource treats, specifically their smaller treats that work wonders for my feisty Beagle, Betty. They are the perfect size for her and she devours them within seconds! That said, the larger ones were too big for her to handle comfortably. I recommend checking the size chart on their website before making a purchase to avoid any nast surprises. Anyone else had similar experiences with the treat sizes or is it just me and my petite pooch?

ParticipantExperiencing NutriSource: Large Dogs Require Larger Treats!
Just a quick nod to folks mentioning the size factor with NutriSource! I have two Saint Bernards and while they absolutely cherished the flavor of these treats, they’re just a tad too small for their massive mouths. I’ve turned to the larger treats from NutriSource and noticed an improvement in handling during our training sessions. For anyone with bigger breeds, do take note of the treat sizes! How about you guys, any luck with other large-size treats? Remember, if your dog experiences any indigestion, always consult your vet.

ParticipantSmall Size, Big Satisfaction with NutriSource
I’ve got to say, those NutriSource treats have indeed been a hit with my three-year-old Golden Retriever. She’s always had a bit of an issue with larger treats – tended to gulp them down without chewing much. The smaller sized NutriSource treats have proven to be perfect for her. Also, the cost factor can’t be ignored; pretty reasonable considering the quality we’re getting.
On the downside, the durability could be improved upon. They tend to crumble if I shove them into my pocket on our morning walks. Just as something to consider if you are an active dog-owner annd planning on purchasing these treats.
Coming about an alternative product, anyone tried wellness WellBites? I’ve heard they are pretty sturdy and come in various customized sizes too.

ParticipantEven though NutriSource treats are pretty fabulous for the most part, I’ve personally found an alternate treat that my border collie, Max, seems to prefer more – the Zuke’s Mini Naturals. Considering thier size and texture, these treats work phenomenally for training without overfeeding Max. They are also great on the budget! For new dog parents trying to figure out what works best for their dogs, give Zuke’s a shot if NutriSource isn’t hitting the mark. Remember though, every dog has different preferences and dietary needs so it’s always about finding what works best for your furry friend!

ParticipantWhile I generally agree with the consensus on NutriSource treats and their seemingly high quality, I’m curious if anyone else has found them a bit on the small size? While they’ve been hit with my Jack Russell Terrier, Lizzy, she tends to go through them pretty quickly. In contrast, I’ve tried some other brands whose larger treat size lasts quite a bit longer – or maybe it’s just that Lizzy’s a little chomper! Anyway, are there any suggestions for similarly high-quality but larger treats? Might be worth considering for folks with bigger breeds or pups with a healthy appetite like Lizzy. Don’t get me wrong though – I love how much she enjoys them but just wondering how economical they are in the long run.

ParticipantWhile I’ve found that my Buster loves the taste of NutriSource treats, I was initially taken aback by their small size. However, it quickly dawned on me that this option could be a smart way to monitor his snack intake. Pricey for sure, but hey, anything for our furballs, am I right? For those finding them too rich for your pocket or pup’s liking, I’ve had success switching over to Zuke’s Mini Natural Training Dog Treats. Buster seems equally in love with them and they are wallet-friendly too! Anyone else tried Zuke’s or something different?

ParticipantOh boy, the NutriSource debate again. Like some of you lovable dog devotees here, I found that their treats are well-liked by my fur baby, though I gotta admit they left a sizable hole in my wallet too. Then there was the time my Muffin tried to scarf down the entire treat in one go, nearly gave me a heart attack – those things aren’t exactly bite-sized for smaller dogs!
As an alternative, we switched to Zuke’s Mini Naturals. Less pricey and more appropriate sizing for our petite Muffin (and equally tasty, so she says). But hey, whatever sails your boat – or fetches your stick, amirite? Remember fellas, always supervise snack time and when in doubt about treat suitability for your pup’s size or dietary needs – consult a vet!

ParticipantI’m in agreement with you folks regarding the NutriSource treats. My German Shepherd, Max, is a picky eater but he definately took a liking to these. At first, I too was surprised by the cost annd the size of the treats, but they’ve proved their worth over time as I noticed not just how much Max enjoys them, but also their effect on his coat. It’s looking shinier than ever! And given that Max is a heavy chewer, it’s a bonus that these snacks are quite sturdy and don’t fall apart easily.
The pricing may seem steep initially, especially compared to some other brands, but I think the overall quality and benefits make it worthwhile. Just remember everyone’s experience may vary and always consider your pup’s specific needs.
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried switching between flavors regularly? Wondering if this might keep things more interesting for our fur friends or if routine is better.

ParticipantJust hopping on this NutriSource train, I’ve also found these treats to be a big hit with my pups! Our oldest, Riley, can be fussy with treats but she took to NutriSource’s flavor like a champ. Not to mention they’re the perfect size for training sessions – not too large that it overpowers the reward mechanism of training and not too small that the dogs feel cheated out. The price is on the higher side, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny considering how well my dogs respond to them. However, always remember folks to monitor your pet’s reactions and consult a vet if you notice any unusual behavior or health concerns. Has anyone else tried using these treats for obedience training, or is it just me?
