MemberBut hey, it ain’t just about the gourmet experience for ol’ Bax… nope. His coat’s shining like he’s ready for his close-up in a fancy shampoo commercial! And talk about energy… sometimes I think he’s the canine reincarnation of the Energizer Bunny!
Now, is Beneful pricier than that off-brand stuff you see lining Dollar Store shelves? Well, duh. But hey, we’re not exactly filling our own plates with Ramen every night now, are we?
So if you’re hopin’ to give your four-legged friend the caviar experience of dog foods (minus the actual fish eggs…ew), Beneful’s worth checking out. Your pup might just thank you with one of those oh-so-rare tail wags and indescribable look of gratitude only dogs can give.
Just remember to keep an eye on that waistline! With food this good, Baxter’s trying to convince me it’s mealtime every couple hours!

MemberOkay, I mean sure if your dog has a digestive system on par with a steel-clad garbage disposal, maybe they’ll manage to eat this stuff with minimal issues… but my little Max couldn’t handle it. Tried ’em once – thought hey, pretty colors and reportedly ‘real’ meat chunks sprinkled all over the commercial – must be good eh?
Well folks, let me give you the 411. Max took one sniff and looked at me as if I’d just tried to pawn off leftover broccoli for steak. I coaxed him into trying some and needless to say let’s just say it was an “explosive situation” for three days straight afterwards!
So quick recap: Yeah it’s cheap. Yeah it looks like a rainbow threw up in a kibble bag. But seriously folks, do your dogs (and rugs) a favor, invest a few extra bucks for better quality food. The only thing Beneful is beneficial for is weightlifting since you’re probably gonna have to carry that full bag of food right back to the store! Happy feeding!

MemberOne thing though, a friend mentioned something about a lawsuit against Beneful a while back which had me concerned for a bit. However, after doing my own research I found out that the lawsuit was dismissed. Apparently it was about certain ingredients but those have since been removed.
As always, every dog is different so what works for Max might not work for your furry friend. Maybe give a small bag a try first and see how your pooch likes it. Monitor their health, energy levels etc. It’s always good to consult with your vet too. Good luck!

MemberMax seems to love the taste of it – cleans his bowl every time. Not gonna lie, he’s been more energetic and his coat is shinier since switching. Fingers crossed – no digestion issues or any health problems yet. Like any other brand though, some formulas seem better than others. For instance, we stick to Grain Free Chicken mostly because Max seems to do well on it.
My only gripe would be that it may not be fully-grain free like some of the more premium brands out there. The ingredient list is kind of long and includes corn and soy – not that it’s bad per se, but some owners might prefer a grain-free diet for their pup.
All in all, Max seems happy and healthy with Beneful so I’d recommend at least giving it a try if your pup isn’t fussy eater and don’t have any specific dietary restriction. After all, every dog is different! What works for Max may not work for all but certainly worth trying. Let me know how it goes if you decide to make the switch!

MemberThat being said, every dog is different, so best to start with a small bag to see if your pup likes it. Be prepared though, because switching foods can lead to a couple days of upset tummies. Slow transition is the key – swapping out a little more of the old food with Beneful over time.
As with anything, moderation is key. Don’t forget that treats annd people food pack on pounds quick in our four-legged friends! Give it a shot and see how your pup reacts 😉

MemberSo, I have a 3-year-old Labradoodle named Cooper and I’ve been feeding him Beneful for about 2 years now. Honestly, I’ve seen noticeable improvements in his coat’s shine and general energy levels after switching to this brand. The vet also gave a thumbs up when I mentioned the brand switch.
However, everyone’s experience may not be the same, as different dogs can have different dietary requirements and reactions. But for us, Beneful has worked out great so far – Cooper loves the beef and vegetable blend in particular! Definitely worth trying it out, especially if your dog is picky about food.
Just make sure you monitor their response to any new feed for a week or two to avoid any potential dietary issues or allergies that might occur. Cheers to happy and healthy pups! 🐾🐶😊

MemberI’ve noticed though, some dogs might not react well to grain-inclusive diets like this one (it has corn, wheat, etc.), so just be on the look out. The one thing I ain’t crazy about is that it does have some filler ingredients and artificial colors too. But so far Max seems happy and healthy with it and no major issues.
Main thing is you gotta know your pupper’s needs and talk it out with your vet if necessary when deciding on a good kibble brand. After all, every dog is different! Cheers mate!

MemberSo I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Daisy, Beneful for about two years now. She absolutely loves it! I switched from another brand because she was gaining a tad too much weight and some people suggested that Beneful could help with this. It’s really worked wonders for us!
Daisy likes both dry and wet options they have an interesting variety. Whatever flavor they put in their ‘savoury rice & lamb stew’, she’s all over it like a kid on candy. It’s been a lifesaver when it comes to medication times; I juts hide the pill in the stew and voila.
As far as her health goes, since the switch I’ve noticed her coat is shinier and she seems more energetic during our daily runs in the park. Her vet exams have been good thus far and no weight gain issue anymore. Plus the food is quite affordable compared to some other brands on the market.
Of course, every dog is different and what works for Daisy might not work for yours but if you’re considering a switch, Beneful has surely been pawsome for us!
Do keep your eye on how your pup reacts to the change though – usually takes a week or so to adjust. Hope this helps!

MemberNow, if we’re talking nutrition – the vet says that Benny is in perfect shape annd his coat is looking shinier than ever. Still, I don’t solely rely on dry food, though – I mix things up with chicken and veggies to keep his diet balanced.
The one downfall is the price tag – slightly heavier on the wallet than some brands out there but hey, happy dog equals happy life right? Nah, seriously though, just look out for deals or buy in bulk to save a few bucks. Anyway, that’s my two cents! ✌️🐾

MemberHowever, I did notice that when we first switched him over, he had a bit of tummy upset – but then again, that can happen with any food change so I don’t necessarily put that on Beneful. Probably just needed some adjustment time there.
In terms of nutrition content, it seems pretty solid. It’s not super premium but it certainly doesn’t fall into the “junk” category either. Especially if you’re watching your budget but still want something decent quality for your furbaby, I’d say give it a shot.
But remember every dog is unique – what works for Oscar might not fly with another pup! So keep an eye after making the switch and consult your vet just to be sure everything’s good. Happy dog-parenting! 🐕🐾

MemberI’d say the ingredients list is pretty impressive too, lots of protein and grain-free options if your pup prefers that. Although it’s not the top-tier gourmet stuff some brands offer, for its price range Beneful does quite well indeed. Particularly love the variety; they have options from weight control to puppy chow to meals specific for small or large breeds – talk about tailoring food to dogs’ needs!
Of course, each dog’s different so it may not be a hit with everyone. But based on our experience, it’s worth trying out Beneful if you’re looking for a balance between cost and quality. Hope this helps in making a decision!
