Absolutely agree with you about Happy Hips dog treats. I’ve been using them for my golden retriever, Simba, for about a year now and he practically does backflips when he hears the bag crinkle! The size of the treats is just perfect, they’re big enough to keep him satisfied but small enough so that it doesn’t ruin his meals. They hold up pretty good in durability too, not like some other brands that would crumble just from being in your pocket. These are worth every penny if you ask me.

Now this may sound weird, but I noticed that they can make your fingers a bit greasy after handling them. A good old-fashioned napkin comes handy in such times, nothing too concerning though!

But hey, have any of you guys tried their Duck Jerky flavor? Would love to hear thoughts on that!

Absolutely see where you’re coming from – Happy Hips has been a hit or miss for my beagle, Toby. He’s a picky eater, and he wasn’t particularly fond of the size of these treats. I tried changing to Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trails Treats instead, specifically the Turkey Biscuits and voilà, he nibbled them right up without a second glance! The neat thing about these snacks is that they’re grain-free and packed with real meat, which may be why Toby likes them more. Totally agree though, it’s always challenging finding the perfect treat for our fur buddies! Anyone else tried Blue Buffalo range for their fussy eaters?

So, you’re talking about Happy Hips, huh? Well, let me tell ya something. My Bulldog, Gertie, isn’t very picky but she snubbed Happy Hips dog treats like they were last month’s kibble. They are a bit pricey in comparison to others out there and the size wasn’t the best fit for her grande jaws. So if you have a large breed, maybe consider that. Plus side – durability is quite something; those things survived several rounds of ‘hide & seek’ around the house (a game we play where I hide treats and she finds them). If your pooch is a petite one with a love for long-lasting snacks, sure! Give ’em a go. But those things are getting dusty here with my ol’ Gertie! Consult with a vet if you have any concerns about dietary changes and always monitor new foods/treats.

Interesting to hear all the varied responses on Happy Hips. I’ve been using them with my Border Collie, Max, for around 6 months or so now. I find the size of these treats perfect for training sessions and they seem to be quite durable. However, has anyone noticed if they crumble or become tricky to handle in hot weather condition? Here in Texas where it’s often quite warm, I carry them around in a small pouch during our long walks and noticed a bit of crumbling last summer. Wondering if it’s just me or is this something others have encountered? Especially considering thier price, would want them to hold up well. Any insights? If it’s a common problem perhaps I should look into alternatives. As always, I’d consult my vet before introducing any new treats into Max’s diet though.

It’s interesting reading the different reactions to Happy Hips. For me annd my Shih Tzu, Pookie, it’s like a godsend. She’s super picky about her treats, but she took to these immediately. Remember, the size especially matters when it comes to small breed dogs. I cut down one treat into three pieces to set portions for her throughout the day. It saves me some pennies too! However, understand every dog has unique tastes & digestion preferences, so always introduce new treats slowly and always keep clean water readily available. And if any concerns come up, consult with your vet sooner rather than later.

I’ve got to chime in on the Happy Hips discussion too! I’ve been giving these to my Golden Retriever, Max, and he absolutely loves ’em. However, I noticed some inconsistency in treat size within the same package. While Max isn’t particularly fussy, smaller dogs might have a harder time with the bigger pieces. Has anyone else had this issue? Also curious about the price difference between online stores and local pet stores – anyone else notice any substantial discrepancies? As always, remember to consult your vet before changing your dog’s diet or introducing new treats!

Just wanted to weigh in as a long-time dog lover and owner here. I’ve been using Happy Hips with my old Pointer, Molly, for a good year now. I really appreciate the ease of use and convenience-factor with these treats, plus they’re certainly sturdy enough to withstand Molly’s relentless chewing. In terms of size, they are perfect for her, not too big but substantial enough for her to enjoy.

However, while Molly seems to like them okay, I must admit they are on the pricier side compared to other similar products we’ve tried. As much as Molly enjoys them, we do use them sparingly due to the cost. If budget is a concern, I’d recommend alternating Happy Hips with less expensive treats that your dog also likes. Remember, it’s always worth discussing any significant dietary changes with your vet.

That said, anyone else feel like their pooch loves Happy Hips more than other treats?

Loving this conversation about Happy Hips treats, it’s been a staple in my house for years. My Border Collie, Scout, goes nuts for them. Sure, they may seem a bit pricey when compared to other dog treats out there, but given the size annd quality of each piece – it’s actually good value in my book. Here’s a small tip from me: I started cutting treats in half to make sure they last longer and don’t exceed Scout’s daily treat allotment.

My introduction to these treats was quite by accident. A friend had left a bag at my place post a doggie playdate and left it behind. As anyone with finicky eaters knows, finding something your pup enjoys is quite the victory. To see Scout get so excited about these were a pleasant surprise! We’ve been using Happy Hips ever since.

Only piece of advice I’d give is always check the packateing befre each use. If there’s any damage to the bag or if the treats smell off, best to toss them out rather than risk it. Lastly, even tho we’re all talking about how much our dogs love these treats, remember every dog is different and might react differently. Always monitor your dog initially with new treats and consult your vet if needed. What other flavors did you folks try that turned into an instant hit?

dog lovers out there! I must say I’ve been following the Happy Hips treats topic with interest. Having a 13-year-old Labrador who’s a real treat gourmand, I’ve always been on the lookout for tasty yet healthy options. Having tried them based on your experiences shared here, I find my fellow exhibits a noticeable pep in his step lately; however, I do have one question on the size of the treats – do they come in different sizes? Am asking so as I feel the small bite-sized portions can be a bit too small for him, and he’s kinda struggling to pick them up from his bowl. Anyone else having this same observation? Nevertheless, despite the sizing issue, they seem like a good option for my old boy. So thanks heaps for sharing your thoughts guys and keep those reviews coming!

I really appreciate this discussion about Happy Hips dog treats. Already been using them for several years now with my Golden Retriever, Flossy – she absolutely adores them. The bags are always generously filled and the guaranteed natural ingredients put me at ease.

In terms of their functionality, I’ve noticed that they do seem to make Flossy more energetic on our daily walks – a noticeable difference before we started using Happy Hips. Also, the size is perfect becuase I can easily carry a few in my pocket when we’re out and about.

As an alternative tho, and if you’re looking for more variety, I would recommend Zuke’s Hip Action treats. They come in different flavors like beef, chicken and peanut butter which keeps things interesting for your furry friend (Flossy loves having a different flavor every now then!). For any concerns on their effects on pups’ hips or overall health, it’s always best to consult with your vet first.

Anyone else tried Zuke’s Hip Action? Or perhaps other healthy treat alternatives?

Just jumping in on the Happy Hips train! I’ve been using these treats with my Poodle-Mix for almost a year now and she can’t get enough. I think it’s the chicken flavor that she loves so much. The good size of the treats also ensures that they lasted for an extended period, which is a big plus for me.

I did notice however, while price isn’t exactly cheap, you do get what you pay for. They’ve held up their quality and durability time after time. Just to add my two cents here – always monitor your pets while they’re enjoying anything new. And if any health concerns develop, consult with a vet just to be safe!

For anybody who has bigger breed dogs, do you find these treats work as well for them? Looking to recommend them to a friend with a Golden Retriever.

Totally agree with the praise for Happy Hips dog treats! My Golden Retriever, Charlie, simply adores them. The size is just perfect for reward-based training sessions as well and they’re quite sturdy – not too crumbly. I’ve also found that these treats definitely seem more cost-effective compared to some high-end brands, especially considering their quality. As always though, it’s important to remember that treats should only make up 10% of your pup’s diet maximum – we don’t want chubby puppies afterall 😉 Charlie tends to put on weight easily so I limit him to a few pieces each day during his afternoon training session. Anyone else found a good routine when using these treats?

Agree with all the love for Happy Hips dog treats here! They’re a surefire hit with my Border Collie, Rosie. I’ve noticed not just how much she enjoys them, but also the substantial size and excellent durability of these treats – they last well and give her a good chew session before she can finish one up. All in all, pretty great bang for your buck.

Quick question though: Has anyone experienced any changes in their dog’s behavior or overall eagerness after introducing these treats? Rosie has always been one energetic pupper but she seems even more driven during training when I introduce these as rewards. It may just be coincidence, but curious to hear if anyone else observed this? As always, if you notice something odd with your pet’s behavior, it’s best to consult a professional. Cheers!

So happy to hear so many positive reviews about Happy Hips! I’ve been giving them to my Lab, Max, for a couple of months now and he gets absolutely ecstatic every time. I mean tail wagging at lightning speed, the whole nine yards! One thing I’ve noticed though, they are a bit on the harder side. There’s never been an issue for Max, but has anyone else found them too tough for their pups? Just curious. As for the price, it is a little steep compared to other treats but honestly worth it considering how much Max seems to enjoy them! Always remember that if your pup has any difficulties or you have concerns, it might be best to check with your vet before trying a new treat.

So glad to see all the love for Happy Hips dog treats! My old Beagle, Buster, has been a fan for about a year now, annd he seems more enthusiastic than ever. The size perfect for him, small enough for easy munching but big enough to tempt him into doing tricks. Ontop of that, I’ve noticed these treats seem more durable; they don’t crumble or make a mess like some other brands.

One tip I have is to break them up in smaller pieces when you’re using them for training purposes. It avoids overfeeding and keep your pup’s interest. But remember, consult with your vet if you have any concerns about your dog’s dietary intake or health.

Has anyone else used Happy Hips treats in their training routine? What strategies worked best for ya’ll?
