ParticipantI’ve gotta hand it to ya, I completely agree with your review on Wholehearted dog treats. My pug, Mugsy, is a picky eater but he’s been gobbling these up like there’s no tomorrow! They’re just the right size for his petite mouth and they don’t crumble all over.
We started using them as training bribes and boy did it work like a charm. Tip for folks with smaller dogs – break ’em in half for training sessions. Less treat intake yet it still gets their attention! Price wise, they’re quite fair too compared to some of the fancier stuff in pet stores.
Only slight concern I had was Mugsy’s digestion after introducing them (don’t want pupgo upset tummies now do we?). A quick chat with our vet assured me they weren’t an issue. Just a gentle reminder though – always check with a professional if you notice any changes after introducing new foods/treats to your fur-babies.
So, anyone else have a story about their pups loving Wholehearted?

ParticipantAh, Wholehearted dog treats, the pinnacle of canine cuisine, right? Well, just had to weigh in here. I’ve got a spry German Shepherd named Rex and those bite-sized goodies went down like a charm – I swear he didn’t even chew! While I can’t deny they make for a convenient training tool due to their small size and apparent tastiness, I found they tend to crumble quite easily. Not the best news for those of us with cream carpets. However, price-wise, they’re nicely Affordable. You get what you pay for, as they say.
My alternative (and Rex’s favourite) however, are the Farmer’s Dog Jerky Strips. They’re also bite-sized, tough enough for a good chew yet very chewable – plus no scattering crumbs! More expensive sure, but sometimes worth it for that tidy edge. Anyone else found a no-crumb alternative that won’t break the bank?

ParticipantOh boy, I couldn’t agree more about the Wholehearted dog treats. My Golden Retriever, Benji’s tail won’t stop wagging every time he sees that treat bag! The size and consistency of the treats are also great for training purposes, since they’re small enough to not fill him up too quickly but substantive enough for him to actually enjoy.
In terms of price, I believe they’re pretty reasonable considering the quality. I particularly appreciate that they’re grain-free and contain no artificial colors or flavors—just real chicken and other wholesome ingredients. Great for a health-conscious owner like myself!
The only downside that I’ve found is that they can get a bit crumbly if not stored properly. So my advice would be to make sure you tightly seal the bag after each use. Has anyone else had this experience? Or found a creative way around it… maybe using them as food toppers?
Overall though, I’d say Wholehearted dog treats are worth both your time and money! Let’s keep spoiling our pups with wholesome goodies!

ParticipantTotally on the same page about Wholehearted dog treats! They’ve been a hit in my house too, especially with our chocolate lab, Bruno. He can be really picky with his snacks, but he chows down on these like there’s no tomorrow. Plus, the treat size is perfect for his rather large mouth to avoid any potential choking. For those with smaller pooches, you might wanna pay attention to the size tho and maybe break ’em down a little bit. But beyond that, thumbs up for being so budget-friendly considering thier quality! Anyone else find they’re dogs are preferring these over other high-end treats?

Participantthere fellow dog-lovers, I had to hop on this thread with a bit of a diverging opinion. My pupper, Sadie, is not exactly enthusiastic about the Wholehearted treat’s size. They’re just a little too large for my 10-pound Schnoodle and it takes her a bit longer to chew em’ up. Maybe for larger breeds these treats fit the bill perfectly, but here’s a little suggestion: Try breaking them into smaller pieces before serving them up to a small doggo – works charm in my case. But hey, given their nutritional value and affordability, they do offer bang for your buck! Anyone else face these size issues with petite pooches?

ParticipantThat’s interesting to hear about your experiences with Wholehearted dog treats. I’ve been giving them to my terrier, Max, for about a year now and he never seems to tire of them. They’re bite-sized (perfect for his little mouth), seem quite durable and the price is reasonable too. He particularly loves the chicken and sweet potato variety!
However, I noticed that some posters have mentioned issues with their dogs not being as keen on these treats. Anyone else found this to be the case? I’m curious to know if the flavor or texture might be a factor here. It might help us all make better treat choices for our furry friends in the future!
Remember, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dogs daily caloric intake to ensure balanced nutrition. Always consult a vet if you have concerns about your pup’s diet.

ParticipantI’ve also been using Wholehearted treats for a while now. Our golden retriever Bruno seems to be quite fond of them and quickly responds to commands anticipating his tasty reward. Love their size to be honest, they’re small enough that I can give him a few during our training sessions without overfeeding him. However, I’ve had some trouble with the packaging, it doesn’t seem very durable so storing after opening can be bit of a hassle. Does anyone else has this experience, or perhaps any suggestions for better storage options?

Participantguys, I’ll throw my two cents into the mix as well. I have a Siberian Husky, Luna, who is quite picky eater but she absolutely loves Wholehearted dog treats. The size of treats is good enough for her jaws and keeps her content for a while, which makes it even better for teaching new tricks or during training routines.
One thing that stood out to me was the ingredient list. It’s quality stuff, no unnecessary fillers—just wholesome nutrition! Compared to some other brands we’ve tried, these do seem like they’re more satisfying for Luna.
However, do monitor your dog’s reaction when introducing any new treat into their diet. Luna didn’t have any issues but all dogs are different and it might be different with yours. If you notice anything unusual, best to consult a vet.
So, in my opinion these are definitely worth trying especially for owners struggling with picky eaters – just see how your furry friend takes to it.

ParticipantI’ve been using Wholehearted dog treats for my ever-energetic Labrador, Max, for quite some time now. The size of the treats is perfect for his large mouth and he seems to enjoy the variety of flavors offered too. Remember to always stick within the recommended treat allowance though, friends! It’s easy to overfeed as Max’s fondness for these treats had me caught in a wagging tail trap before I knew it!
Price-wise, they are a bit on the pricier side compared to other brands but their quality justifies it – at least in mine & Max’s opinion. Anyone else who’s dog also an avid fan of the peanut butter flavor? Can’t say it’s easy to resist those puppy eyes when he knows there’s a jar around!

ParticipantI’ve been using Wholehearted treats too with my grumpy old beagle Henry. He’s usually not fussed about treats, but he goes nuts for these! I’ve noticed though that the size of these treats are quite big, especially for smaller breeds like mine. Has anyone else found this an issue? I mean, I break them up into smaller pieces for him, but just wondering if there’s a mini version available that you guys know about? Would save me some time chopping.

ParticipantWow, I’m also a big fan of Wholehearted dog treats! Got my Corgi, Ginger, hooked on them since she was a pup. I find the size perfect for her mouth and being grain-free is a bonus. Also, anyone noticed how long-lasting the treats are compared to other similar-sized products? They’re great for keeping Ginger preoccupied when guests drop by unexpectedly.
One thing that occasionally bugs me though, is the inconsistent availability in some stores – sometimes they’re out of stock. Does anyone else experience this too? Were you able to find a workaround or an alternative treat with similar quality and price range?
Can’t deny that despite this minor hitch, Wholehearted treats remain our go-to choice for positive reinforcement during training sessions and as a tasty distraction when necessary! As always though, it’s key to remember that treats should only make up a small part of our pups’ diet. Any drastic changes in eating habits should warrant a check-up with your vet for good measure.
Keep your furry friends healthy and happy guys! 🐶💕

ParticipantForum Reply:
Oh, totally agree with you all about Wholehearted treats. My stubborn Cocker Spaniel, Muffin, just can’t say no to them! Who would’ve thought she’d turn from being usually indifferent to literally begging for these tiny crunchy delights! A word of caution though: don’t leave the bag unattended. One time, I did and found Muffin had managed to chew open the bag and help herself (talk about a greedy little girl). Now, we have a “treat time” routine where she gets them after her nightly walk. Works like a charm!
Anyone else tried incorporating Wholehearted treats into some training? Any noteworthy improvements?

ParticipantJust chiming in here to concur with everyone on the Wholehearted treats appeal. My obstinate Cocker Spaniel, Zoe, is notoriously picky when it comes to her snacks. Tried out the Wholehearted and she gobble them up like there’s no tomorrow! Besides enjoying them, I noted that they are perfectly-sized for training rewards and more affordable compared to some other brands out there. So yeah, Wholehearted treats are Zoe-approved, economically-friendly and don’t disappear in two seconds flat! Just curious, has anyone used these for advanced tricks training?

ParticipantI totally agree with the love for Wholehearted treats here! My Great Dane, Daisy, is absolutely addicted to their Chicken and Sweet Potato recipe sticks. The size is perfect for her – not too small like some other brands we’ve tried and they are solid enough to last more than two seconds. Plus, they’re grain-free which is perfect for Daisy’s sensitive stomach. It’s been wonderful seeing her so excited for treat-time again. I’ve noticed that some stores sometimes run out of them though, I guess because they’re quite popular. Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips on where best to buy them?
