I’ve been feeding my lab the Open Farm Dry Dog Food for about 6 months now and we’re both quite happy with it. She seems to enjoy the taste, and I appreciate the high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients. On top of that, her coat’s been shinier than ever (although I can’t make a definite health claim here, she just seems super healthy!).

For those of you transitioning to this food, fair warning—it’s a bit pricier than your average kibble. But in my opinion, it’s worth every penny for the peace of mind knowing you’re offering your fur-baby something wholesome.

One tip if you do decide to switch: introduce the new food gradually to avoid upsetting your dog’s stomach. Even the best food can cause a bit of a tummy upset if switched too quickly!

So how about everyone else? Anyone else seen shiny coat results or have any transition tips to share?

Oh, the Open Farm Dry Dog Food, such a blast from the past! My border collie, Midge, was all about that chow for a good year before we transitioned her onto a raw diet (vet’s suggestion). Nice-sized kibble, not too hard for her to crunch and she didn’t leave any leftovers. Plus, it wasso easy to schlep the bag home from the store – compact and sturdy packaging. Sustainability being their thing too, if memory serves.

What I always thought was cool about it was the ingredient transparency. You’ve got your ethically sourced meats, veggies…even probiotics for better digestion thrown in there for good measure. What’s not to love? Throw some water in with it every now and then so they’re getting enough fluids but otherwise you’re golden.

How are iyou finding the price point though? Last I remember it wasn’t exactly light on the ol’ wallet.

Absolutely agree with your positive experiences using Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I’ve been feeding my cocker spaniel this for around a year and she never turns up her nose at it, which says a lot given her usual pickiness! The smaller kibble size suits her quite well. What’s more fascinating is the ingredient transparency; they specify where each ingredient comes from, which gets my vote of confidence. If yor dog has specific dietary needs though, it’s comforting to know you can consult your vet for personalized advice. Just out of curiosity, has anyone else noticed significant coat improvements since switching to Open Farm?

I’ve got to chime in here, I too have had a great experience with Open Farm Dry Dog Food. It’s been about 2 years since I started feeding it to my beagle, Benny. The smaller kibble size is perfect for him and he really enjoys the chicken, turkey flavor – gobbles it up every time!

My advice would be to try a small bag first before investing in a larger one, just to make sure your pup enjoys the flavor. Just remember, as with any diet change, make it gradual so you don’t upset your pooch’s tummy. And of course, if there are any adverse reactions, it’s best to consult your trusted vet.

Did anyone else notice an improvement in thier dog’s coat after switching? Benny seems shinier and softer – could be placebo effect on my part though, haha!

Definitely have to agree with you guys on the Open Farm Dry Dog Food—it’s so well-liked in our household that our Golden Doodle Charlie seems to enjoy meal times more than anything else! What I realy appreciate is the manageable kibble size. As soon as we made the switch, Charlie started having an easier time chewing annd genuinely enjoying her meals.

Just a tip for anyone new transitioning their pup onto this food—I found mixing it in with their old food actually helps ease them into it. Start off with just a quarter of the new food and slowly increase it over the course of a week or so.

Has anyone tried the other flavors? I’ve only used the turkey and chicken variety, but curious as to how other dogs took to the rest.

Agree with all the praises for Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I switched my 3-year-old lab, Charlie, to it about six months back – we’re both pretty much fans at this point. The small kibble size is perfect for him and helps keep his dental hygiene in check too. But what realy wins us over? The top-notch ethical sourcing of thier ingredients. Great stuff!

Just one thing though, watch out for auto-shipping settings if ya order online; once had a doubled order arrive on my doorstep! Good lesson in always double-checkin your order quantities I guess.

Anyone else run into similar glitches with online ordering? Otherwise, no complaints here! Charlie sends his tail-wags to fellow Open Farm pups!

Absolutely endorse what’s been said here about Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I switched my 6-year-old husky, Luna, over to it a couple months back and both she and I couldn’t be happier! She’s always eager at meal times now and the kibble size is prefect for her, not too big, not too tiny. Price-wise, it may be a bit on the premium end, but given the high-quality ingredients, I believe it’s worth every penny. Just as with introducing any new food though, don’t forget to gradually mix it in with your old dog food to help your dog’s digestion adjust. Anyone else notice their dogs having improved coat condition after switching?

Agreed with the sentiments here for Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I transitioned my 5-year old Boxer, Otto, who used to be such a picky eater but he devoured it right away! It’s pricier compared to some brands, but for high quality ingredients which Otto adores, i think it’s worth it. Although, for those on a tighter budget, you might want to consider the size and cost per serving before making a swap. The kibble pieces are small perfect for even smaller breeds. Also love their commitment to sustainable fishing and farming practices. For anyone considering a switch, maybe introduce it gradually? Like mix some in with their regular food initially. Always works for us when we’re trying new foods! Anybody else tried this tactic?

Couldn’t agree more! I began feeding my 7-year-old Golden, Max, Open Farm Dry Dog Food due to his demands for tastier meals. I was instantly impressed with the kibble size, perfect for his mouth dimensions. Trust me, when it comes to durability annd freshness, this product is top-shelf stuff. jsut make sure your furry friend drinks plenty of water since dry food can be a bit dehydrating. Lastly, considering the quality and results for Max – an increased energy level and eagerness during walks again – I believe the price is just fair. Anyone else’s dogs showing similar behavior after swapping to this brand?

Having fed my 9-year old Labrador, Rufus, a variety of dog food brands over the years, I’d say we’ve definitely found a winner with Open Farm Dry Dog Food. The quality and transparency of their ingredients are next level. Rufus is an absolute fan of the Homestead Turkey & Chicken recipe – he gobbles it up every single time! Plus, kudos to Open Farm for the eco-friendly packaging.

Since Rufus is a larger breed, I ensure I consult his weight chart from our vet and keep changes in his diet gradual. Just thought that’s something worth sharing if you’re considering swapping your fur kid’s chow. Just remember though, every dog’s dietary needs may vary significantly so always seek professional guidance if unsure!

Absolutely concur with the high praises for Open Farm Dry Dog Food! I started transitioning my 4-year-old beagle, Bella, to this brand about two months ago annd she honestly seems to enjoy it. Prior, she was pretty picky with her food and would often leave kibble untouched. Now, every meal is gobbled up within minutes!

The ethical sourcing and high-quality ingredients were a huge draw for me. Price-wise, it’s on the higher end but you definately get what you pay for – smaller stool and a much shinier coat are bonuses we noticed. Plus, Bella’s energy levels have been through the roof, which makes our daily walks way more enjoyable.

Do remember though, any change in diet should be done gradually to avoid any stomach upset. And always consult your vet if your pal has specific dietary needs!

Totally agree with the positive feedback on Open Farm Dry Dog Food. I’ve been giving this to my 6-year old Boxer, Bella, for about a year now and she can’t get enough of it. I appreciate the quality ingredients and grain-free option, and not having to strain my wallet too much just to provide her with a healthy meal. And don’t even get me started on the packaging; it’s sturdy, resealable and easy to store. All in all, Open Farm is a game-changer compared to other brands we’ve tried.

On a side note – anyone else noticed their dogs having shinier coats after switching? Just an observation with Bella, but thought I’d ask! As always though, for any persistent food reactions or concerns, it’s best to consult your vet!

Oh, Open Farm Dry Dog Food has done wonders for my old pal, Rosco! It’s been quite a ride with Mr. Fussy Eater over here but we finally found something that sticks! Sustainability was a must for me and the fact they source their ingredients ethically nails it. Rosco also appreciates the balanced diet – who wouldn’t like wild-caught fish and organic veggies? Not to mention, the smaller kibble size makes munching much easier for his senior chompers.

On the pricing side it’s true – it’s not exactly the cheapest out there. But, in mnay cases, you get what you pay for. I’d rather spend an extra few bucks if it means giving Rosco better grub. Just remember – always transition gradually when switching your pooch to a new brand of food to avoid upsetting their tummy – speaking from experience here! Anyone else noticed improved coat shine using Open Farm products?

Absolutely with you guys on the Open Farm Dry Dog Food! I made the switch for my two golden retreivers about 6 months ago and could not be happier. They absolutely love meal times now; I swear they start dancing around as soon as they hear that bag crinkle. The size of the kibbles is perfect for them, even Lil’ Murphy who’s always been a bit picky with larger pieces. And as someone quite environmentally conscious, I appreciate their commitment to sustainable sourcing.

Just one word of caution, make sure to transition your furkids gradually, as sudden change in diet can cause digestion issues. Luckily my boys didn’t have any problems but better safe than sorry, right? Have you guys noticed any changes in your dogs’ coat or energy levels since making the switch?

I’m also in the Open Farm Dry Dog Food fan club! I transitioned my border collie mix, Maddie, over to it about 2 months ago and she seems to relish every mealtime now. One thing I noticed though, was the difference in kibble size compared to her older brand. Maddie takes a bit more time eating now, which I reckon is a good thing – slower meals mean less chance of bloating. All in all, the change has been positive in our home. Does anyone know if Open Farm offers kibbles in different sizes? My sister’s teacup poodle might benefit from smaller pieces.
