MemberBought an Ugg dog bed for my labrador, Daisy, about 6 months ago and let me tell you – she absolutely loves it. I originally got it just for her to lounge around in but noticed she has a tendency to nibble on her food while chilling in it so it became an accidental dining spot…silly, huh? 😅 The only issue is that the cushion gets dirty pretty easily from the food drops, but thankfully it’s machine washable.
One thing I’d recommend is to place a food mat or something similar under the bed during meal times to prevent accidental spillage seeping into your carpet. Any of you also have dogs who prefer munching in comfy spots? Or is it just Daisy?! 🙈

MemberAnyone tried washing it yet? How’s it holding up?

MemberSo my question is this: has anyone devised a good cleaning strategy for these Ugg beds that doesn’t involve a trip to the professional cleaners? Looking for tips cause Peaches loves to bring her food over to her comfy spot, and well… you know how messy that can end up being. 😅 Maybe some sort of protective cover or liner?

MemberI guess vacuuming off the hair and any loose dirt would be step one. Then perhaps spot cleaning any ‘incident’ areas with a pet-safe detergent? Remember not to overdo with water as…well…it’s still wool at end of the day even though it’s synthetic. Just my two cents here from my experience in handling fuzzy fabrics (beaten by sweaters in life more than once!). Have anyone tried this method with their Ugg bed?

MemberAnyone else found somethig beyond spot cleaning that works wonders? Like maybe even dishwasher safe chew toys or wipe-off mats you can put on top to catch the food spills? Open to ideas here!

MemberRecently though, I’ve tried using a pet-friendly dry shampoo on the bed. Sprinkle some on, let it sit, then vacuum it up; works like magic! Gets rid of the hair, dirt AND smells too; basically everything our furry friends leave behind. Plus way handier than trying to stick it in the dishwasher or anything machines lol
Anyone else tried this trick or have any other cleaning hacks to share? Seems like no dog bed is safe from getting messy!

MemberBut for those stubborn stains, I found something else that works wonders – baking soda & vinegar solution! That does the trick for me everytime. Although it makes Max annoyed with the smell when first applied 😄 but once it’s dried up completely – there’s no trace of either stain or odor and it becomes his favorite spot again.
Oh, and definitely NOT dishwasher safe, sorry! Don’t wanna damage its fluffy comfiness, right? And trust me, hand cleaning isn’t as terrible as it sounds 😉. Anyone else tried anything different that works better?

MemberWow, it’s the first tiem I’ve heard of someone using the Ugg dog bed as a dining spot for their fur baby. I’m usually more used to items like these being sleeping havens for our four-legged friends. My old Lab, Sammy, loves lounging in his similar Ugg pet bed after dinner—it’s like his little royal throne!
But using one for meal time? Intriguing…however, I am a bit skeptical—are you guys finding it easy to clean off food spills from the material? Is it machine washable or only spot clean? Murphy’s law tends to rule at my house and where there’s a pup with food, there are bound to be spills! Would love some feedback before I give this a shot!
