MemberHere’s my advice: try mixing a tiny-bit of the new food into their old food initially while they’re chilling on their Yeti. Gradually increase the new food proportion over time, helps your pooch adjust better to the taste without startling them. Keepin’ it consistent with feeding times helps heaps too! Are you using any specific treat to eases his allergies?
Just remember, patience is key while dealing with dietary changes. All the best matey! 👍

MemberI just bought the Yeti dog bed about 3 months ago for my Rottweiler, who’s a notorious bed chewer. True that it held up well compared to other beds but not sure if it’s worth the hefty price tag. Anyone else feel the same? Or maybe I’m missing somethng about thsi bed??? (’cause my pooch certainly doesn’t seem any comfier!).
Any observations would help! Oh, and also, are there any chew-proof alternatives that won’t burn a hole in my wallet?

MemberAny tips for dealing with pups who kinda want to turn their new Yeti into a giant chew toy? Mine’s been eying it since we got it… gonna get him some tough chew toys today, open for more suggestions though.

MemberOn another note, has anyone tried contacting Yeti about this? They could be open to feedback and take into consideration our need for smaller breed beds!

MemberTotally get what you’re saying about the Beautyrest cushioning for our furry friends. Our 7 year old Lab, Daisy, basically lives on her Beautyrest bed – its machine washable feature iss so useful for muddy paws I tell ya! As faily active dogs, labs need their rest and this bed seems to really tick that box.
Regarding BuddyRest, we dabbled with one when she was a puppy but haven’t really explored them sicne. They are more suited for older dogs from what I remember so maybe worth a shot for your german shepherd? Just like us humans each dog has it’s own comfort levels i reckon. Can anyone else weigh in on Beautyrest vs BuddyRest here? Would love to hear more thoughts and experiences.

MemberSo basically, agreeing with pretty much all previous posts here. For anyone on the fence about this bed, jsut get it…your dog (and your sleep schedule) will thank you! One last tip: make sure you measure your dog well before ordering – we had to exchange ours because we underestimated how much space our lab needed to properly stretch out.
Has anyone else experienced exceptional durability with these beds as well? Just curios because my corgi mix is even tougher on beds than our lab and considering getting one for him too.

MemberJust curious though, have you noticed any change in your dog’s sleep pattern after making meals a part of thier bed routine? With my Buster, he’s never slept better! Do you wash it after every meal or do you have some other clever cleaning routine? Would appreciate hearing other ideas. Agree with most that this Ugg dog bed is worth every penny for picky pups!

MemberAnyone else noticed their dog swapping exercise for extra snooze-time post meals on the Yeti? Perhaps I should move dinner time away from the bed… Suggestions anybody?
On a side note, I’ll probably still keep the Yeti as an occasional treat. After 18 years of dealing with dogs, anything that gets their tail wagging is a win in my book! But if you’re looking for a more active mealtime routine maybe try investing in some interactive food puzzles instead – keeps them moving AND feeds them at the same time. Win-win, right?
