My Lab Loved NutriSource Treats, But Don’t Forget to Check Size

Body: I can definitely relate to those of you with large dogs. My Labrador, Bella, can chew through most treats in seconds flat. NutriSource is a game changer though – not only do they last longer, but she also really enjoys them! The size and durability are great for big breeds and they’re reasonably priced compared to other premium treats on the market. Just make sure to check the treat size before purchasing for your own canine companion. Bella is a medium-sized Lab and some Nutrisource treats were a bit larger than expected. Overall, absolutely a good buy for us!.

Wow, NutriSource dog treats. Now, there’s a trip down memory lane! My gentle giant, Hank – a Saint Bernard if you will, was absolutely bonkers for these treats. The size of these nibbles are perfecto, especially for the big boys and girls out there with a major chew drive. Believe me they’re durable enough to give ’em a good gnawing session, yet not as tough as rawhide. Price wise… well they ain’t cheap, but then Hank would tell ya that quality has a price tag (if he could talk, I should say!).

Story time: I remember this one day we were training in the park; he wouldn’t even sniff at any other treat once he had been spoiled with NutriSource! It surely made getting him learning those new tricks much easier.

Got a tip from yours truly – always have fresh water around when treat-time rolls around. You know, just cause of how thirsty they can get after savory snackin’.

Anyone else find that these treats were absolute game changers in their training routine?

Ah, the famed DreamBone treats – a true canine classic. With my rambunctious Riott, a hyperactive Border Collie with an appetite bigger than his bark, these treats have become a household godsend. His favorite is the peanut butter variety; he’s practically do a backflip for those things! The size is perfect for medium sized dogs and the texture seems to tickle him pink. Can’t beat the price tag either considering the high quality of ingredients. Just remember friends: moderation is key with any doggie delicacies as too much of a good thing can upset their tummy. When in doubt, always check with your vet!

Absolutely love DreamBone treats for my Boston Terrier! Their size fits her small mouth perfectly and she always goes bonkers when she hears the bag rustling. Not only are they long-lasting, but the price point is pretty affordable too. Plus, knowing that these chews are packed with vitamins makes me feel great about treating my furbaby. Just a word of advice – if your dog is like mine, don’t leave the bag within their reach! I once made that mistake and came home to find an empty bag and one very satisfied terrier. 😄 Has anyone else’s pup had a funny “treat stealing” episode?

I totally agree with the comments on the size of Blue dog treats! My bulldog, Bruno, also had trouble with them at first because they were quite a bit larger than what he was used to. What worked for us though was breaking them down into smaller pieces. They’re actually pretty easy to break apart and it made it more manageable for him. Plus, I like that they feel substantial and have less filler stuff compared to other treats out there. It’s not exactly cheaper, but overall a good choice if you’re willing to do a bit of extra work for your fur buddy. Anyone else doing the same thing?

Just echoing all the praises for Aldi’s dog treats! I’ve got a cuddly Golden Retriever that tends to be quite picky with her treats, yet she always enjoys Aldi’s. The size is just right for her, and the fact that they don’t turn into a crumbly mess in my pockets is an absolute bonus. The price point is perfect too; top value without compromising quality. Here’s a little nugget of advice though – make sure you store them properly to maintain their freshness! Has anyone else had particularly good experiences with them, or any other bargain treats we should know about?

I’ve gotta hand it to ya, I completely agree with your review on Wholehearted dog treats. My pug, Mugsy, is a picky eater but he’s been gobbling these up like there’s no tomorrow! They’re just the right size for his petite mouth and they don’t crumble all over.

We started using them as training bribes and boy did it work like a charm. Tip for folks with smaller dogs – break ’em in half for training sessions. Less treat intake yet it still gets their attention! Price wise, they’re quite fair too compared to some of the fancier stuff in pet stores.

Only slight concern I had was Mugsy’s digestion after introducing them (don’t want pupgo upset tummies now do we?). A quick chat with our vet assured me they weren’t an issue. Just a gentle reminder though – always check with a professional if you notice any changes after introducing new foods/treats to your fur-babies.

So, anyone else have a story about their pups loving Wholehearted?

I’m definitely part of the Full Moon fan club too. My border collie, Max, is usually a bit fussy about his treats, but he’s taken to these like duck to water. I really love that they are grain-free, which works wonders with Max’s sensitive tummy – also the fact that they’re made with real meat and are free from those pesky artificial fillers.

Sure enough, they’re not the cheapest option on the market but in my opinion, it’s well worth it for a quality treat. Pro tip: Consider dividing the pieces up if you have a smaller pooch or you’re mindful of treat portion sizes. Just be ready for those pleading puppy dog eyes asking for more!

Is anyone else’s fur friend as obsessed with the chicken flavor as Max is?

Gotta say, those Full Moon treats are a big hit with my Maltipoo, Bella. She’s on the smaller side so I appreciate that they’re not too large for her petite mouth. But let me tell ya, make sure you seal them up tight back in the bag or else you’ll get a scenario like mine: Bella nosed open the pantry and discovered them herself – treat-self-service! And as far as cost goes, they’re certainly not the cheapest option out there, but hey, seeing Bella’s wagging tail when she gets one makes it worth every penny. Anyone else had thier pooch turn into Houdini over these treats?

Totally jumping on the Greenies bandwagon here! My golden retriever, Max, has been snacking on them for years and he just can’t get enough. I was initially skeptical about the size – I mean they look so small for big dogs like Max – but turns out they’re perfect nibble-size treats and last longer than expected. Plus, it’s quite affordable considering the durability and quality.
As for a little secret from our household, I’ve incorporated Greenies into our training time as rewards and it’s worked wonders. Maybe anyone new to dog parenting might want to give this trick a try too? Do your dogs have any funny reactions or habits around their Greenie time?

In my humble opinion, the Pet Pride dog treats haven’t completely won me over just yet. I have a golden retriever named Bella and she’s somewhat fussy when it comes to treats. Sure, they’re affordable and easily accessible at local grocery stores, but the size is a bit too small for larger breeds like Bella. It doesn’t keep her engaged as much as I would like.

Now, instead of Pet Pride, I’ve found success with Rover’s Roast beef cubes. They’re made from real meat and no artificial fillers, significantly larger in size, and Bella can’t resist them! And while they are a bit pricier, the ingredient list alone sold me – it’s worth my pup’s happiness.

But does anyone else have fussier dogs? Maybe it isn’t about the treat size but what’s inside them that counts? Thoughts?

Yesterday, I decided to give the Old Mother Hubbard dog treats a shot for my pooch. To be completely honest, they aren’t exactly the most economical option out there and I was quite disappointed with the size of the biscuits. They’re much smaller than what I imagined and not particularly durable. Anyone else find these treats breaking into pieces too easily? Just wondering if I should give them another try or perhaps switch to a different brand. Any suggestions for bigger and sturdier dog treats?

Agreed. Stewart dog treats are a hit at our house too! My Bruno is a medium-sized fella and these treats are the perfect size for him, not too big, not too small. And it’s apparent that the company uses quality ingredients; he gobbles them up faster than any others we’ve tried. A bit on the pricey side but I’d say they’re absolutely worth it for the joy they bring to my pup. Does anyone have tips on where to find the best deals on them?

For anyone wondering if these might be a good fit for their pooch, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Just remember to introduce any new food items slowly into your dog’s diet and observe for changes – and of course, always consult a professional if your pet seems unwell following dietary changes.

Interesting to hear all the varied responses on Happy Hips. I’ve been using them with my Border Collie, Max, for around 6 months or so now. I find the size of these treats perfect for training sessions and they seem to be quite durable. However, has anyone noticed if they crumble or become tricky to handle in hot weather condition? Here in Texas where it’s often quite warm, I carry them around in a small pouch during our long walks and noticed a bit of crumbling last summer. Wondering if it’s just me or is this something others have encountered? Especially considering thier price, would want them to hold up well. Any insights? If it’s a common problem perhaps I should look into alternatives. As always, I’d consult my vet before introducing any new treats into Max’s diet though.

I have to jump in here and share my two cents on The Bear and The Rat treats. With around 18 years of canine companionship under my belt, I’ve come across quite a lot of dog food products, but this one stands out for me. At first glance, these treats really tick all the boxes – they’re a comfortable size for both small and larger breed dogs, but what completely won me over is their composition. Made with top-tier ingredients, it’s clear the manufacturers prioritize our furry friends’ health.

Admittedly however, these are not exactly cheap treats when you look at the price per unit. Yet if your budget allows and if you often manage to score one during a sale (like I do!), it’s a worthy expenditure considering the joy and nutrition it provides for our pups.

On a lighter note, let me recount a quick anecdote about my golden retriever, Dicky. A pretty selective eater he is Dicky – gives me side-eyes for even the faintest change in his kibble brand. But with “The Bear and The Rat”, there were no such complaints! It surprisingly became an instant hit right from day one; watching him eagerly pounce at every treat toss has been a real delight to see!

But always remember guys, regardless of what kind of food or treats you give your pets, regularly consulting your veterinarian for diet consultation is key for maintaining optimal health.
