Quick question though – anyone had any luck cleaning this particular dog bed? Daisy can get pretty muddy on her walks and I’m wondering if this is going to be a nightmare clean job or if it’s as simple as chucking it in the wash. Any input would be fab!
A quick tip when choosing: make sure you get the right size. Too small, and Floof may not be comfy, too big and it takes over your whole living room. Anyone had experience with the Grreat Choice beds? I’ve heard mixed reviews… Interested to know what everyone else thinks before I give it a go.
gang, ran across this thread when doing a quick search to see if anyone else has a chewing problem with their Petco dog bed.
We got the biggest size for our puggle, Dobby (yep like from Harry Potter lol, hoping he’d grow into it – turns out he just believes more bed equals more chew toys! Within two days, fluff was all over the house. I tried again after duct taping (like literally) the edge annd corners… no luck!
I’m guessing from reading your comments though that I might just have an exceptionally chew-happy pup??? Or maybe any of you have had similar sitch with this specific Petco model. What’s your experience guys? I love the convenience of that place and hate shopping online so much without being able touch thigns. Thanks in advance for your wisdom. Peace out!
P.S. @K9fanatic’s tip on sizing up is a winner – at least when not dealing with a terminator doggy haha!
Has anyone else noticed this or did I just get a dud? On the other hand, can anyone suggest an equally comfy but more robust alternative? Don’t want Auggie missin his luxury naps while we sort this out! 🐶💤
I do have to agree tho, like some of you’ve said – the price is hefty. But, seeing how comfy Muffin gets in it kinda makes me think it’s worth the splurge? Plus, the bed has held up pretty well in spite of her… enthusiastic? chewing tendencies. The only thing I’d watch out for though is their size chart. Got a medium first and …let’s just say Muffin wasn’t thrilled with the snug fit.
Garnered from this experience, anyone else on here tried other premium dog beds they’d recommend that don’t cost an arm and a leg?
While Petco beds are decent enough annd last pretty well, anyone here tried the “Furhaven pet bed”? thier Ultra Plush Luxe Lounger is Coco’s goto chill spot now, super comfy material and easy on maintenance too. Just something to consider if you’re looking for alternatives.
But no matter what you choose, gotta love seeing our fur babies snuggle into their beds, like they’ve jus hit jackpot. Right? 😜
I guess my advice to anybody on the fence about it is to take the plunge. The price may be higher than you’re used to paying for a dog bed but when you consider how much longer this one last – definitely worth every penny.
How are you guys cleaning yours though? I’m doing a gentle cycle wash and air dry but wondering if there’s aby better ways…
Re: the sturdiness – totally agree, it’s been great for us! My tip would be to get a size up from what you think you’ll need. Gives them extra room to snuggle but it also makes the bed last longer since there’s less direct pressure on any one spot. Worked out really well for us so far. Does anyone else have advice on picking the right size?
P.S.: The memory foam seems pretty high quality too. Benny had an old hip injury that bothered him quite a bit, but since we got this bed, he’s showing significant improvement. Just goes to show you how much of a difference a good dog bed can make!
