MemberHowever, just as Sandra pointed out, its lifespan indeed depends highly on your pooch’s chewing habits. My little fur monster turned the “indestructible” Kong bed into shreds in merely 5 weeks! While some might argue it still lasted longer than the average plush toy (haha), I can’t help but feel a bit stung by the price vs durability ratio.
Might be on the hunt for a chew-proof alternative soon. Could anyone suggest a tough yet comfortable bed that can withstand some zealous chewing?

MemberI’ve got to say, my dog Cooper wasn’t too chuffed with the IKEA bed at first either! We tried all sorts of tricks – old tshirts, treats, toys. But what really made the difference? A bit strange, but… we moved it near our family sofa. Guess he just wanted to be closer to his hoomans lol 😂
So yeah, it was more about location than the bed itself. Maybe worth a try for those still having trouble? As for quality, the bed’s held up pretty well, even with Coop furiously digging at times haha.
As an alternative tip, don’t dismiss other pet stores or online places. There is a variety of cozy and pocket friendly alternatives to IKEA beds out there. Petsmart has some nice ones. Has anyone else found a great bed their fur buddy loves? Or any other tips for getting them to love their new bed?

MemberTo the point on cleaning — couldn’t agree more. Others might scorn at throwing the entire bed into the washing machine, but let me tell ya’, it’s a life saver. Who knew a dog bed could be this low-maintenance?
Anyone here tried using special sprays or sth similar to make the bed even more appealing to our four-legged friends? Could do with some tricks from more seasoned vets… 😀

MemberJust make the switch to a Kevlar dog bed a couple of weeks ago, and let me tell you, it’s bin great! My chew-happy Lab hasn’t managed to put so much as a dent in it. Super tough stuff, this Kevlar.
I was skeptical at first, especially considering the price tag. But seeing my pup struggle to tear it apart (for once), worth every penny!
Anyone else worried about their dog getting too fond of the Kevlar taste though?

MemberNow, comfort-wise? Absolutely top-notch. Me annd ol’ Rufus have had more than a few snoozes on it while binging late-night telly, I even use it for naps sometimes when he’s off on one of his ‘adventures’. You know how these furry little explorers are.
One bit of advice tho – make sure you measure out the spot where you plan to put this bed first. It’s a real chunky piece that can take up more space than you’d expect, learnt that one the hard way myself. And Rufs? He couldn’t care less – any spot is nap-spot to him!
Does anyone else find their dog claiming not jsut the bed but pretty much all available furniture as nap zones?
