  • It’s a great bed overall though – easy to clean (well, as long as you remember the dryer bit). The cushioning is nice, but it took my fluffmonster a while to stop trying to de-stuff it.

Just on the shrinking issue – anyone tried air drying it laid flat? I wonder if that reduces shrinkage any.

Just my 2 cents based on experience though 🙂 Keep the canine convo going guys!

Off topic but anyone else tried Orvis dog beds? As high quality as Land’s End but specializes in orthopedic ones that could be a game changer for older pups I imagine. Just adding another bed to the frisbee-obsessed Charlie’s luxury lifestyle soon!

I’ve been using the Hermes dog bed for my old golden retriever and honestly? It’s been kinda hit-or-miss. The luxury appeal and material quality are nothing short of sublime, no doubt about it. But I agree that cleaning is a tad bit more challenging than what some of ya’ll are saying. Bits of slobber and fur tend to clung on more than I’d like and give me quite the hard time during scrubbing episodes.

But hey, maybe it’s just my Goldie being extra messy coz she’s in her twilight years now. 😅

One tip though – for those struggling with cleaning like me, try using a pet-friendly upholstery cleaner. It works wonders on those stubborn stains. Pup seems to love it nonetheless, so I guess it’s worth the effort! 🐶💕

Anyone else tried other high-end dog beds like Louis Vuitton or Gucci? Are they any easier to clean or is it just a universal designer-dog-bed struggle? 😂

One thing to note, it held up well against our Siberian Huskie’s love for…well, let’s say “creative rearrangement”. Our livingroom usually looks like a pillow fort gone rogue after he’s done. As for thickness and comfort, nailed it! No signs of those dreaded flattened spots so far.

Has any1 tried washing the cover yet? Not seeing many comments about how that worked out.

In response to folks complaining about the lumpiness, I think it completely depends on how much your dog likes to rearrange their bed. But hey, if squishing the bed down bothers you too much, maybe consider a firmer style or one with baffled fill!

As for the quality of Pendleton’s fabric and stuffing – top notch in my experience. No signs of wear even after repeated washing (though be careful about shrinkage first wash). Just don’t get me started on how much my dude loves the stylish National Parks patterns!

Is anyone else out there as hooked on these designs as we are? Or have you found any other furniture to spice up your pup’s sleep setup?

I was umming annd arring for ages too before taking the plunge – but I gotta say, her old arthritic joints seem so much better ever since. Has anyone noticed a similar improvement? Or maybe that’s jus’ my pup getting pampered! 😄 And also, big thumbs up to Orvis custumer service for sorting out quick delivery issue swiftly – rare these days, isn’t it? 🙌

The bed is spacious and comfy and fairly easy to clean too – even though Bella does her best to make it difficult (shedding fur like there’s no tomorrow, haha!). You can tell it’s made with human-grade materials. It’s also super plush, perfect for the colder months; kept Bella cozy last winter!

Oh and another thing – it really gives you value for you money. We had an expensive “designer” dog bed before that Bella never really cared for.. this one cost a fraction of the price but she loves it! So definitely a win from us as well!

Anyone tried cleaning their bed in the washing machine yet? Would love some tips on that!

Side note: The only downside is the sheer size of this thing – it takes up way more space than I anticipated! If your living space is tight, might want to take measurements before you pick one up. Trust me on that one haha! Who knew dog beds could feel so…human lol.

They are indeed sturdy as everyone raves, but the hard surface wasn’t liked by my Goldie, Toffee. She won’t sleep unless it’s something super comfy – princess alert, right? Haha. Altho if you have those crazy chewers, then this might be the holy grail.

My advice: don’t skimp on bedding on top of the Kuranda frame for extra comfort. Anyone else’s doggies prefer softer beds even though they’re Chewbacca reincarnates? Would love to hear your alternatives or any ways to make Kuranda more inviting for Toffee. Let’s hear ’em.
