MemberJust outta curiosity though, has anyone tried putting it in the washing machine? The tag say it’s machine washable, but with previous beds I’ve had issues where the stuffing gets all lumpy post-wash. Would love to hear others’ experiences on this. Cheers!

Memberfolks, just catching up on the dog bed chat here. I’ve got myself a Land’s End dog bed and can vouch for its quality – seriously a stellar buy, my lab Dexter cuddles into it like there’s no tomorrow! 😄
However, I agree with others on the washing bit, kinda tricky. Warm water and gentle soap have been my go-to as well – anything to keep Dex’s sensitive nose happy.
Also heard some strong words about these Orvis beds…may have to look into one for our new pup coming soon! Anyone had any specific issues with them I should know about?

MemberFor those on the fence, another great option might be the Big Barker. They’re also built for larger/older dogs and have some killer positive reviews. A good friend of mine swears by theirs. Anyone tried both and has any comparative thoughts? jsut thinking about options for when the time comes to replace…Not anytime soon tho, this Orvis bed isn’t going anywhere fast! 🐾

MemberJust thought I’d chime in here on the Tempur Pedic dog bed discussion. I’ve got one for my old boy, Maverick, and it’s been a life changer for his arthritis! On the heat trapping thing tho, I totally get what you’re saying. Maverick loves that extra warmth in the winter, but during summer months I notice he opts for the kitchen tiles instead (can’t blame him!).
My advice? Consider getting a cooling mat to place on top during those hotter months. Not the most elegant solution, but hey… dog parenting ain’t always glamorous right? 😅 Anyone else tried this? Or have you found a different work-around to keep your pup comfortable in their Tempur Pedic bed despite the heat?

MemberSo here’s what I did instead: I gave good ol’ Sealy a call. They were pretty understanding annd suggested loosening up and fluffing out the foam chunks inside via the zipper on the underside (who know that was a thing!). Tried it out, and voila! A little bit effort into fluffing it up once in a while but definite improvement seen. Cleared up our sagging problem for Max just fine.
Although gotta say, considering we’re talking abut Sealy here, kinda surprised this issue exists to begin with! Anyone else call em up for this? Did they suggest something different? Just curious. Always almost ready to solve Max’s bed problem but need every help I can get!

MemberAnd yeah, regarding that whole cover quality thing – seriously impressive! It’s survived Brutus’ constant nibbling and an accidental coffee spill or two. Quick tip for everyone: they’re machine washable (as long as you’ve got the space!) which has honestly been a life saver on more than one occasion.
Anyone know if they sell these bad boys in brick-and-mortar stores, or is it online only? Just curious as I was thinking about getting a second one for my parents’ pup for Christmas!
07/31/2025 at 2:40 AM in reply to: Experience with Reddy Dog Bed: The Comfort, Convenience, and Quality #5327Mellow-Animallover-1982
MemberHitting a keystroke for my ol’ buddy, Jack, snoozing away on his Reddy bed as I type this! Picked one up on Black Friday last year and it’s been a dream for him. Though gotta agree, that cover can be a right ole’ fumble. But hey, don’t sweat it!
A little trick I use is to gently roll the cover back onto the bed like you would with a sock or something similar. No tugging or stressing about the zipper then. And for the deep-clean times – try using a fabric softener when you wash it. Makes it jsut a tad easier to slide back on afterwards.
Anyone tried out their outdoor beds yet? Wondering how they hold up in actual weather conditions.
Cheers and wags! 🐾

MemberIf you’re having trouble moving it around, maybe try sliding it on a small rug or something – works for me when I’m cleaning up Daisy’s corner. Anyone else stumbled upon other handy solutions?

MemberI’ve bought the Vibrant Life dog bed recently for my 6 years old boxer, Rocky. He’s a prety big fella, so I grabbed one in a large size. You wouldn’t believe it…he loves it to bits! 🐶💓 Extremely comfy annd he’s sleeping like a baby.
Now on the Furhaven Pet Dog Beds—a buddy of mine has one for his labrador and he swears by its quality. Mind you, labradors are not as picky when it comes to their sleep spot as some other breeds can be 😄
If anyone is on fence deciding between those two options, think about your fur baby personality first. Does he appreciate snug corners, or more open space? Also if they’re heavy chewers, material durability could be crucial.
Happy shopping! Let me know what you decide. Is there anyone else who compared these beds before making their choice?

Member07/02/2025 at 4:33 AM in reply to: Finding the Right Size for Your Pup: My Experience with Kirkland Dog Beds #6298Mellow-Animallover-1982
MemberThe key when choosing a Kirkland dog bed (or any other really), is definitely size. You want your buddy to not just fit, but also stretch out comfortably. Ours is an extra large one. Also important to point out is how easy they are to clean – a quick vacuum annd good to go. Saved me lots if time already.
Has anyone tried Kirkland beds versus other brands like Frontgate’s Chew Resistant Dog beds? My sister-in-law is looking for something extra durable for her pitbull mix who is seemingly on a mission to shred all their soft furnishings… 😅

MemberWith the Reddy bed though, I’ve noticed her fur doesn’t cling to it as much as with previous beds. Cleaning has become so much easier, as well. And about over-worrying…trust me, as long as you’re taking care of your fur baby and they seem comfortable, you’re doing just fine. By the look on my pooch’s face every time she sprawls out on her Reddy bed, I’d say she pretty pleased too!
Just to add a bit more—I’ve found that rotating other covers on top of the Reddy bed can make cleaning even simpler; it also gives you an opportunity to switch up designs if you’re into that sort of thing. Anyway, hope this helps! It’s all about finding what works best for you and your pup! Anyone else got any good tips or perhaps an alternative bed suggestion?

MemberMy husky mix is an absolute fiend for anything fluffy he can destroy, and this bed has stood up to his level of… let’s just call it enthusiasm. 😅 Haven’t tried using it outdoors yet – in case he decides it’s a new chew toy while funning about in the yard – but seeing as how durable the material has been inside, it might stand a good chance out there too!
Just curious, anyone noticed any changes in their doggo’s sleep pattern since switching to this bed? 🤔 My boy seems more rested these days, could just be my imagination though.

MemberHas anyone tried thier Deep Dish model tho? That looks even more snuggle-worthy for dogs who love to curl up. Would be great to hear any feedback on that!
