  • You know, I’ve learned that chuckin’ it in the washer isn’t always the best idea since the filling can bunch up and make it lumpy. Instead, I usually spot clean it with warm soapy water. If you must wash the whole thing try hand-washing and air drying. Helps keep it looking fluffy and comfortable.

Have any of you tried these washable covers tho? I’m thinking about investing in one for those messier situations (my pup happens to love muddy adventures). Would love to hear your thoughts on this! 🐾😊

For those bigger messes you mentioned, I’ve found that spot-cleaning works in a pinch. Just a gentle detergent mixed with warm water does the trick. Also, try picking up any solids ASAP to prevent deep stains. We’re all seasoned pup-parents here, cleaning up after them is part of deal lol.

As for the fur situation, apart form the lint roller you could even try using rubber gloves – the type you use for washing dishes. I know it sounds strange but they work brilliantly at picking up stray hairs when dry! yah gotta rub slightly to create friction and voila! A fur-free bed (for like… an hour until your doggo takes another nap 😅). Has anyone else tried this simple hack or am I alone on this one?

We’ve since switched to one of those chunky knit dog beds from Amazon (I think it was even cheaper than IKEA). It’s miraculously still intact and seems super cozy – Mr. Ruffles has hardly left it since!

Anyway, dogs have their quirks, right? Has anyone else tried these knit beds?

in reply to: Discovering the Joy of a Cozy Cave Dog Bed #5161

Absolutely have seen the same with my old Golden Retriever! He’s got some joint issues and the Cozy Cave Dog Bed has made a world of difference for him, letting him snuggle up without any struggle. It’s like his personal sanctuary and he spends a significant part of the day there. I can really see how relieved he is to have a soft, comfortable place that supports his body in all the right places.

A tip tho – since they’re meant to be cozy and not too roomy, make sure you get the right size for your pup! Definitely worth trying out, especially for your older doggos or those who love their peace and quiet. Anybody else found it tricky to get the size right?

I totally get your frustration with the whole ‘indestructible’ bed situation. Been there, done that. Before switching to PetFusion Ultimate Dog Bed, my Lab mix would turn every new comfy cushion into stuffing confetti within a week. It was like his personal pastime – if only they gave out Olympics medals for bed destruction!

However, I’ve had the PetFusion bed for good 10 months now and it’s holding up pretty damn well – no fluff piles in sight yet! Plus, it’s also giving my old boy what he needs most – a comfy spot to snooze without causing his joints any trouble. So yeah, I’m all-in for PetFusion being pricer if it lasts longer and provides better comfort for my fur-son.

But hey – has anyone tried washing their PetFusion? Wodnering if the mattress fairing okay in the machine. Fido decided his bed needed a “enhanced” smell😞

in reply to: Finding the Perfect Hello Kitty Dog Bed: A Review #6076

So I managed to snag one of those adorable Hello Kitty dog beds as a surprise for my little Frenchie, Bella. Gotta say, it’s as cute in person as in the pictures – pastel colors and soft plush fabric is just what she loves to snuggle into!

Anyone worried about quality shouldn’t fret because after 4 months of daily use, it’s still looking pretty fresh. Although, be prepared for some slobbery Hello Kitty face time – my Bella adores her new bed so much that cuddle sessions are non-negotiable. Agree with some of you that it’s not the biggest bed around though– might not be ideal if your pupper is anything bigger than small-to-medium-sized.

One piece of advice from personal expereince; I’d recommend giving it a good wash before use since the smell of new fabric can be offputting to some pups (mine included!). Don’t worry, it withstands machine washing just fine 😉

Has anyone tried out other cutesy pet beds like this? I’ve seen a few Pokemon ones online that caught my eye… Thoughts?

On another note – does anyone know if they make similar beds for cats? Our little Miss Furrytail’s definitely showing signs of jealousy, haha!

I know right! I had similar experience when I first got that UGG dog bed. My Lab, Max, was never fond of eating in his old mat. But as soon as we introduce him to this fluffy sanctury (hehe), he started guarding his food more around it! It’s crazy how a comforting environment can affect them.

If anyone is having issues with their dogs behaving aggresiveley towards their food, this can actually be a typical canine behavior called “resource guarding”. It might be worth to check it out or consult with a professional. On the brighter side, I think your pups simply love their new bed too much!

P.S. It’s not just about the eating – the Ugg Dog Bed is just so cozy. Max practically lives in it now LOL. Any other users have adorable ‘bed hogs’ on their hands? Let’s share some pics here!

Also, if you’re looking for some cost-effective alternatives, the Best Friends by Sheri Calming Shag Vegan Fur Donut Cuddler has excellent reviews too.

in reply to: Yeti Dog Bed Makes Feeding Time More Comfortable #3848

And yea, cleaning can be kinda a pain sometimes but definately worth it wide those crumbs out from under those corners — you don’t want any moldy surprises down the line. Oh, and anyone tried using baking soda to freshen up these beds? Thoughts? 🤔

Just chimin’ in to say I think the Yeti dog bed is pretty fantastic as well. Our rough-and-tumble Boxer has been trying his darnedest to chew it up, but no such luck for him! After 3 years of gettin’ through beds like they’re tissue paper, this one’s actually been holding its own.

But hey, I’d be lying if I said it’s all sunshine and roses though. That price tag had me second guessing a bit at first… Those pockets ain’t endless, y’know? So, as an alternative, anyone tried the Big Barker beds? Says they’re real good for bigger dogs and with a slightly friendlier price tag. Any luck with those?
