Memberfellow dog lovers!
So, I’ve also jumped into the Costco human dog bed bandwagon and honestly, my fur baby is all paws in for it. Definitely agree with the top-notch quality part – my energetic Golden hasn’t managed to chew through it yet, not for lack of trying lol.
Yes, it’s big, but come on, it’s a ‘human’ bed after all. It’s perfect for bigger pups or if yu’re like me and enjoy spoiling their smaller ones with extra space. Maybe we’re enabling them a bit…oh well.
As an alternative tho, if size is a real issue for you then consider checking out beds from The Paw-fect Sleep. They offer really great quality beds in various sizes, and my friend’s petite pup seems to love his. Food for thought!
Anyone else have brand suggestions better fitted for our smaller four-legged buddies?

MemberThat said, you mentioned your Frenchie has a chewing issue. So here’s my Q- do y’all think the Squishmallows bed will hold up against a chewer? Bella isn’t much of a nibbler so it hasn’t been an issue for us (touch wood!). Any insights? Or should @PawsomePal consider another more durable option?

MemberTotally agree with the points made so far about Tempurpedic dog beds. Got one for my ol’ Labrador Retriever about a year ago, and it has been nothing short of miraculous. Besides the ‘cool factor’ and comfort aspects, the difference it’s made in her arthiritis is incredilbe. No more whining at nights or slow, achy mornings, jsut pure bliss!
definately pricier than your average bed, but given how much we shell out on vet visits and pain medication, I think it practically pays for itself in no time. Would really wanna know if anybody else has seen similar improvements? Or am I just lucky with my pick?

MemberI got mine from Amazon too! It’s just so convenient to have it delivered right at your doorstep. And yeah, they almost always have some sort of deal going on that makes it such a steal. Plus, the quality has been amazing. Very durable and easy to clean (Daisy has a knack for making things messy haha).
And don’t even get me started on how squoshy and comfy it is. Sometimes Daisy looks so comfortabel in it that I’m almost tempted to try it out myself 🙈 Anyone else feel the same way or am I just weird here? Lol.

MemberJust jumpin’ in to share my two cents. I snagged a Snoozer for my mastiff, Max, last year and, honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Max liked the comfy bolsters, but the center padding went flat far too quickly 🙁 I mean Max is certainly no featherweight but still, it should’ve held up better.
We’ve since switched to a Big Barker bed, geared especially towards larger breeds like him. It’s holding up real solid so far! Sure, it’s pricier than a Snoozer but considering how long it seems to be lasting? Totally worth the extra coin.
Anyone else tried the Big Barker beds yet? Curious to hear your experiences!

MemberKeeps crumbs at check, unlike regular feeding bowls! Have any of you tried placing the food directly onto the bed? My Muffin gets all excited reaching for those hidden treats. Makes meal times kind of an adventurous sport for her! Agreeing with @LilaPaws here that comfort + nutrition is indeed a splendid combo. But what about cleaning up? Anybody got effective cleanup tricks that won’t stress out our pups?

MemberI totally hear you on the Bedsure Orthopedic Dog Beds though. My sister got one for her German Shepard and swears by it – says it really helped ease her pup’s hip issues.
But honestly, each dog is different right? For me, the Costco bed was more wallet-friendly and did the job splendidly. If your budget allows though, you could try out both brands and see which one your doggie prefers! 🐾

MemberJake, my 6-year-old golden, absolutely loves it. He just sinks in and falls sound asleep within minutes – something I never saw him do on the previous foam bed he had.
To anyone worrying over the price tag, well- worth considering it as an investment in your fur baby’s comfort and health. Trust me, the peace of mind you’ll get seeing how well they sleep on it is priceless… Anyone else see a big change in their pup’s sleeping habits after making the switch?

MemberThat said, I get where you’re coming from. The Bully bed sounds intriguing – i might give that a shot for our other pupper (who’s admittedly a little less of a ‘big barker’). Any thoughts on how these beds fare with dogs that are fonder of digging before they settle down?
LoyalMutt1554
MemberAs for the sweet spot, couldn’t agree more. Nothing fits one size here folks.
For those who’ve got dogs with chewing habits, this might realy be worth a shot. You may also consider raising their physical activity tho’, to help curb the boredom that usually leads to chewing. Anyways, that jsut me rambling – all dogs are diferent eh? Any of you dealing with chewers too? What are your strategies beside having chew-resistant bedding? -
