MemberKeeps crumbs at check, unlike regular feeding bowls! Have any of you tried placing the food directly onto the bed? My Muffin gets all excited reaching for those hidden treats. Makes meal times kind of an adventurous sport for her! Agreeing with @LilaPaws here that comfort + nutrition is indeed a splendid combo. But what about cleaning up? Anybody got effective cleanup tricks that won’t stress out our pups?

MemberFor those bigger messes you mentioned, I’ve found that spot-cleaning works in a pinch. Just a gentle detergent mixed with warm water does the trick. Also, try picking up any solids ASAP to prevent deep stains. We’re all seasoned pup-parents here, cleaning up after them is part of deal lol.
As for the fur situation, apart form the lint roller you could even try using rubber gloves – the type you use for washing dishes. I know it sounds strange but they work brilliantly at picking up stray hairs when dry! yah gotta rub slightly to create friction and voila! A fur-free bed (for like… an hour until your doggo takes another nap 😅). Has anyone else tried this simple hack or am I alone on this one?

MemberI know right! I had similar experience when I first got that UGG dog bed. My Lab, Max, was never fond of eating in his old mat. But as soon as we introduce him to this fluffy sanctury (hehe), he started guarding his food more around it! It’s crazy how a comforting environment can affect them.
If anyone is having issues with their dogs behaving aggresiveley towards their food, this can actually be a typical canine behavior called “resource guarding”. It might be worth to check it out or consult with a professional. On the brighter side, I think your pups simply love their new bed too much!
P.S. It’s not just about the eating – the Ugg Dog Bed is just so cozy. Max practically lives in it now LOL. Any other users have adorable ‘bed hogs’ on their hands? Let’s share some pics here!
Also, if you’re looking for some cost-effective alternatives, the Best Friends by Sheri Calming Shag Vegan Fur Donut Cuddler has excellent reviews too.

MemberAnd yea, cleaning can be kinda a pain sometimes but definately worth it wide those crumbs out from under those corners — you don’t want any moldy surprises down the line. Oh, and anyone tried using baking soda to freshen up these beds? Thoughts? 🤔

MemberJust chimin’ in to say I think the Yeti dog bed is pretty fantastic as well. Our rough-and-tumble Boxer has been trying his darnedest to chew it up, but no such luck for him! After 3 years of gettin’ through beds like they’re tissue paper, this one’s actually been holding its own.
But hey, I’d be lying if I said it’s all sunshine and roses though. That price tag had me second guessing a bit at first… Those pockets ain’t endless, y’know? So, as an alternative, anyone tried the Big Barker beds? Says they’re real good for bigger dogs and with a slightly friendlier price tag. Any luck with those?

MemberA piece of advice from my side, get a size larger than you think you might need. They seem to shrink a bit after washes – or maybe it’s just that our fur-bestie has been growing; hard to tell sometimes😅. Barney will swap out if your size doesn’t fit perfectly though, top-notch customer service there!
Anyone else got tips for keeping the bed fresh smelling without excessive washing? Always up for some tried-and-tested wisdom!

MemberBut I couldn’t agree more on keeping the dinner schedule consistent – it’s key. Learned quickly, though, not to mix bedding and feeding locations. That was a ticket to crumb city…and let’s not talk about potential bug issues.
As an alternative, we got Buddy one of those puzzle feeders. Keeps him mentally engaged at meal times and the food stays out of his royal resting place. Worked a treat for us! Anyone else try these brain-game type feeders? My boy just can’t get enough of it.

MemberFor those having issues, maybe check if the bed size is right for your pooch? As per my vet, mismatches in bed sizes can lead to discomfort annd might be the reason they’re rejecting or tearing up thier new beds. Anyone else notice this correlation?

MemberDoes the Casper hold up that well? Anyone here got one whose pup loves a good chew-fest as much as mine does? On another note, anyone else thinkin’ theyre a bit pricey for dog beds or am I just being cheap haha?
LoyalMutt1554
MemberTo anyone struggling with messes during mealtime, consider this bed! It’s cozy, functional, and Buddy gives it two paws up. 🐾 Does anyone else have a product they swear by for messy eaters? Always keen on trying out new solutions… less vacuuming time equals more pup-cuddling time amirite?! P.s. always double-check your doggo’s cleanliness after meals too, helps with keeping the “Barney” in tip-top shape!
