Just a quick tip though – if your dog’s anything like mine and likes to gnaw at things, spray a bit of bitter apple spray on it. It’ll keep ’em from turning their new favorite bed into their new favorite chew toy!

Speaking of which, anyone else have tricks for keeping their dogs away from destroying their beds? Or is it just mine with that bad chewing habit?! 🤔

One question I’ve got is about the cover fabric. Has anyone tried out their different options? We got the twill one and it’s been great, but curious if anyone has experience with the denim or fleece versions? Does the long-lasting quality hold up across all fabrics?

Also, gotta give a shoutout to another brand we’ve had luck with for our younger, more… energetic bull terrier – Kong makes some crazy durable dog beds too!

    Cheers,

I second the tip about sizing up tho. Dogs love to stretch out and never seem to fit in their recommended size. Does anyone else’s pup do an entire lap of the bed before collapsing into it? 😂 It’s like they need that assurance that it’s spacious enough. Bigger is defo better with these beds!

As someone who’s had dogs for going on 8 years now, I personally prefer keeping their feeding area separate from their sleeping spot. I’ve found that my dogs get a bit territorial about their food and it’s gotten them a bit upset when the other tries to nap on “their” bed.

If you’re looking for an alternative, raised feeding stations are a great choice! They’ve been really helpful with my lab who has some digestive issues and could really benefit from eating in a more upright position. They also help keep feeding zones tidy, which can make cleanup easier post-meal times.

Anyway, that’s just my two cents. Anyone else have suggestions or alternatives they recommend? Or do your dogs not mind sharing their bed-food combo?

Wow, it’s the first tiem I’ve heard of someone using the Ugg dog bed as a dining spot for their fur baby. I’m usually more used to items like these being sleeping havens for our four-legged friends. My old Lab, Sammy, loves lounging in his similar Ugg pet bed after dinner—it’s like his little royal throne!

But using one for meal time? Intriguing…however, I am a bit skeptical—are you guys finding it easy to clean off food spills from the material? Is it machine washable or only spot clean? Murphy’s law tends to rule at my house and where there’s a pup with food, there are bound to be spills! Would love some feedback before I give this a shot!

Are all Brindles this durable or did Chewie and I hit the bed lottery? They ain’t exactly cheap but so far, no regrets. My advice to doubters: give it some time. It may feel like an eternity when you excitedly present your fur baby thier new throne only to have them ignore it at first – but patience is a virtue here. Sure your pup know its their turf and they’ll thank ya eventually!

As @dogmomma16 said… maybe give your fur baby a little more time with the Brindle before you call in the big guns… who knows, one day you might find them ready to hit snooze even before you pick up that night-time storybook 😉 Anyone else got good (or bad) experiences with these beds? Any tips for fur babies who are especially resistant toward new beds?

Oh I totally get you, my pup can’t get enoguh of his Brindle bed. We’ve had it for almost 3 years now annd it’s super easy to clean and hasn’t lost its firmness one bit! Not even after that time he decided to drag it through the mud… anyone else’s pooch taken their Brindle on an adventure? lol! Needlesss to say, this bed is worth every penny in my book!

Bought an Ugg dog bed for my labrador, Daisy, about 6 months ago and let me tell you – she absolutely loves it. I originally got it just for her to lounge around in but noticed she has a tendency to nibble on her food while chilling in it so it became an accidental dining spot…silly, huh? 😅 The only issue is that the cushion gets dirty pretty easily from the food drops, but thankfully it’s machine washable.

One thing I’d recommend is to place a food mat or something similar under the bed during meal times to prevent accidental spillage seeping into your carpet. Any of you also have dogs who prefer munching in comfy spots? Or is it just Daisy?! 🙈

And the washable cover is a LIFESAVER. We grabbed a couple extras so we always have one clean and ready to go, especially after muddy walks (you know what i’m talkn about!)

Any advice on removing stubborn stains? Our lab seems to be a magnet for icky surprises. And also, has anyone tried thier orthopedic range for their senior dogs? Benny’s got a few years on him now and we’re thinking of upgrading his setup.

Lastly, totally feel ya on the toy carnage! I swear Barney and Benny would be best buds given half the chance, ha!

Anyone else tried this or seen any sensitivity with these beds? By the way, totally agreeing on its durability in spite of Mabel’s redecoration attempts haha. Now if only human mattresses featured that same resilience… 😅

The best prt? The cover is removable and machine washable; barney loves to roll in the dirt and bring it all to bed with him, so this feature was a total game-changer for us. Although someone mentioned earlier that they don’t love that these beds aren’t so stylish, I think the rugged look fits just fine in our home. But hey, to each their own, right?

The cover is soo easy to whip off and chuck in washing machine too which saves us loads fo time. Plus Max seems really comfty on it, he’s always curled up snoozing away so that tells me he approves as well! Think if you’re considering getting another, it’ll probably be worth the investment. Maybe get it during a sale though so it doesn’t hit your wallet too hard? Just a thought 🙂 How old is your pup by the way?
