I too made the switch to a tempurpedic bed for my old golden retriever, Marley. He’s got some joint issues and I definitely noticed he sleeps better now. Funny enough, He took immediately to the firmness but my younger border collie, Luna, didn’t dig it at all!😄 Anyone else had this happen? Maybe it’s a breed thing? Anyway, worth every penny for Marley’s extra Z’s – Luna will stick to her old fashioned pillow bed though.

I second washing the cover first though. Had that weird smell for a bit but went away completely after a spin in the washer. Quality wise, no complaints at all so far. The memory foam has kept its shape and the cover has handled all the washing and doggy wear-and-tear like a champ!

Have you noticed any color fading on your cover after washing? Mine’s still good as new (we’ve got the brown), but curious to know if anyone else had different results.

there! I joined the Tuft n Needle dog bed club too, a couple of months ago. Totally worth it, I got to say. My labrador Biscuit has never been comfier – she hogs it all day and doesn’t even want to jump on our sofa anymore, haha! The removable cover is a dream when it comes to clean-up time, super handy especially with ‘shedding season’ right around the corner.

One thing I noticed tho, is that the sides aren’t quite as rigid as they appear in photos. Bit of a letdown if your pup loves a headrest like Biscuit does.

Anybody else found this? Looking for hacks to stiffen them up without messing with the overall comfort. Cheers!

Your advice about giving the bed a squish before introducing it to your pup—spot on! I wish I had known that earlier haha, would’ve saved me some perplexed doggy stares. Also, can we just talk about how easy these beds are to clean? A quick spin in the washer and they’re good as new! It’s a complete lifesaver for shed-happy dogs.

Has anyone else noticed their Harry Barker bed lasting particularly long? I’ve had mine for already two years and aside frm some minor wear and tare, looks pretty darn sturdy still.

As for BuddyRest, haven’t tested it out yet – are they good for older dogs with some joint problems?

y’all! Just chiming in on the Furhaven dog bed convo. Got one of these for my golden retriever, Sheba, a few months back and it’s honestly been a gamechanger. Used to be she’d never settle down properly at night, always shuffleling around trying to get comfortable. Got the large plush faux fur bed and she was out like a light! Not only does it look cozy af but Shiba took to it right away like it had always been hers. Definitely agree on the measuring bit, even if your pup is bigger, they might still prefer a smaller size – kinda like their own little den.

Anyone else notice their dogs sleeeping more soundly on these?

I’d agree with some of the previous posters that these beds might not be as durable as they seem. But if you’ve got a less destructive pup, it may still work out (and look cute). Just make sure to check regularly for loose strands – we don’t want any accidental ingestion, right?

Has anyone tried any solid alternative brands they can recommend? And did you face similar frindge-related issues too?

Now I wonder, do you think it could be because they’re more relaxed eating on these comfortable beds? Or is their napping pattern really changing a bit due to this?Totally curious to know your thoughts on this. Did anyone notice any weight gain in their pups with the same routine?

As for any issues with dogs not taking to the bed right away – we had a similar hiccup. Max was suspicious of his new bed at first (a bit like Zoe and Bailey, seems like it’s a dog thing). What workd for us was placing some of his favorite toys onto the bed – helped him create a feel of “this is mine”. The Plufl bed isn’t cheap but given how much use Max’s gotten out of it, I’d say it’s been every penny well spnt. jsut had to go through some adaptation phase, thats’ all 🙂

Has anyone else tried mixed in their dog’s favorite scent or something? Like spraying a bit of your perfume/cologne on the bed to make it feel more familiar? It worked for a freind’s dog who was having trouble adapting to a new bed.
